Didn't Cosby's daughter bring out that story shortly after Tyson was sentenced? At the moment I can't find articles dating back to 1989 regarding that particular episode. Tyson was accused hundreds of times by women, I've lost count. I don't remember Tyson ever showing signs of worry for these kinds of problem, which he always had (see Teddy Atlas threatening him with a gun...)

When one refers to "the **** allegations" in general concerning Tyson, Desiree Washington's case is what obviously comes to mind.

At any rate, all you said is correct and I agree upon most everything.

We have been through this so many times - the ref handled the count perfectly.

He was watching both fighters get up, saw how hurt they were, looked straight into their faces, and adjusted his count accordingly. He didn't race through the count of ten like some idiot refs do. It was an even, consistent 'ten count' for both fighters.

Both were given time to regain their feet and then he evaluated their ability to continue. One could the other couldn't.

Recognizing the reality of the situation around you and acting on it, and not a blind obedience to the rules, is where justice lives.

The ref handled it perfectly! Justice was served; can't believe some are still complaining about it.

        - -Pep, the ref handed out dual 14 sec 10 counts. Clearly he couldn't count and soon ditched boxing. From afar, sparring reports coming out of Tokyo were horrific for Tyson, so it was easy to see for me this was DKing monkey biz.

Tyson fought like a zombie until the KD. Zombie effects are typical side effects of psychotrophic drugs, in Tyson's case experimental Zoloft.

By that time DKing had legal control over his assets and assigned King's own tax lawyer to handle Tyson's criminal **** case that from every account was a complete disaster from a criminal defense attorney standpoint. When Tyson finished his sentence, his entire $50 mil retirement fund was POOF, up in smoking guns and beholden to King.

Justice was NOT served; I can believe some are still complaining about it.

You would have thought it fair had Douglas been counted out? He was by no means a beaten fighter.

Don King was a predator. It's like the frog and scorpion story, it is his nature - every fighter he abused he first seduced with the lure of more money or played the race card.

But none of this applies to whether Douglas picked himself off the deck and was ready to keep fighting, he was, Tyson wasn't.

Watching the fight on telly live, I was behind Douglas that night – an upset is always fun – and I wasn’t
too worried when he got down. Him ****ing the fist to the floor, like “damned, I got knocked down”,
told me he was aware of what had happened, and that he was able to control the situation.

She went public with her story in ‘92, but within a matter of a week or two after the alleged ****, Cosby’s lawyers had already contacted Don King and Tyson. They worked something out to avoid arrest and going to court.

It expresses a sentiment I abide by so elliquently. This whole way people will use the letter of the law to suite their purpose but never the intent, that which is Just that the law is supposed to rectify.
