  • Roy Jones, Jr: The best ever at 175 lbs

It's a hill I'm willing to die on. Jones in his prime is unbeatable by any light heavy ever. RJJ is the master of the light heavies. No one would beat prime RJJ. Not even Mike Rossman.

Many would agree with that, its not an irrational opinion.

      Taking the bait . . .

      Fitzsimmons
      Tunney
      Slattery
      Loughran
      Rosenbloom
      Conn
      Maxim
      Moore
      Pastrano
      Torres
      Foster
      Spinks
      Tarver

They all beat him, the ones in bold stop him.

Hell, add Holman Williams to the list.

Roy demolishes them all. That goes double for the ones in bold. And Tarver wouldn't beat prime time Roy.

I have heard people say this quite often, same for super middleweight

As great Roy was, his best weight was 168. I would favor quite a few to beat him at 175.

            Tunney
            Conn
            Moore
            Charles
            Harold Johnson
            Foster
            Spinks

              Not at 175.

But maybe at 160 and 168.

Although I suspect his chin would always be a potential Achilles heel.

I have the same opinion regarding his best weight. Too many guys at 175 are technically gifted, and have enough natural ability to make roy's super powers minimized. I don't even put Roy on the list of great light heavies. But at 168 he is tougher. More punch resistance, more power, etc.

                  Pastrano beats Roy Jones?

                  What’s this, comedy hour?

168 is more reasonable. 175? Nah. Not in the top 10.
