Picture it. One minute you are a victim, thinking maybe you will get some measure of victory, slowly... at best... the next minute he has virtually destroyed his oppressors. It certainly might have been a factor. The biggest factor would be how he was raised. His father was abusive. I saw my dad hit my mother a few times as a kid. I am lucky, as I just never had the compulsion to do such a thing. But I would imagine if it was regular... who knows.

Supposedly, Roberto Duran, on being asked how he felt about his opponent being hospitalized after their fight, said, "If I had trained, I would have sent him to the morgue." (I doubt if Roberto ever said it, but it's a good quote.)Comment

Floyd has said this many times, as have I. "You don't know sheeit 'bout no boxing". I am not insinuating that I am on Floyds level, but you can not dispute that I have said it and that he's said it too. And in 99%+ of the cases, we are right about that fact. ..............Rockin'Comment

'When I was 12, my mum and dad put a little gym in the cellar for me. It was right under the vault of the pub so when I hit the bag or the speed ball all the customers could hear it. They used to come down and cheer me. It was a little bit dark and damp, but a lot of the old-fashioned gyms were like that. It was brilliant.'
