    "Mike Tyson is very OVERATED"

Ok, the first thing I have to ask is...where is Tyson generally rated in order for one to classify him as overrated?

I actually think Williams quit in that one. He was fine until the ref was wiping his gloves off and then he blinked and fell backwards into the ropes. I don't think he wanted anymore.
i COULDNT AGREE MORE! i WAS ACTUALLY GONNA SAY THAT, iVE SEEN A FEW FIGHTERS DO THAT OR AT LEAST SEEM TO! tHEN THEY GO APE **** WHEN THE REF STOPS IT!

Tyson isnt overrated at all, he's done enought to be top 10-12 of all time easily. His win over spinks is more legit than rocky beating archie, frazier beating foster, louis beating conn cuz spinks was a heavyweight champ and he did it by beating the real champ, not a fruad like john ruiz. Tyson also beat 38 year old holmes, which is equivalent to rocky beating walcott and louis, lennox beating tyson and holyfield, and holmes beating ali. On top of that tyson beat the contenders in his era so yeah he is one of the all time greats, anyone that disagrees is in denial.

Well, personally, he's in and out of my Top Ten, so I've got him on the cusp. I think anyone who has him in the Top 5 is overrating him and anyone having him below 15 is underrating him.

Nah dude Tyson at the peak of his powers had an awsum defence! He was already on the slide when he fought Buster. Do u really know Buster aye? Tell him thanks for Kickin the **** out of my idol the bastard! Lol, Really tell him that was a magical performance that will never be forgotin. Cheers

tyson didnt become over rated untill after he got outta jail ...
other than that i totally agree with everything you said!

holmes at 38 was probably a much better fighter than walcott at that age ....

i think if rocky marciano , george foreman , sonny liston , jack dempsey
if any of these guys are in the top 10 so should tyson because there resumes are quiet simular in the sence that in hindsight they all had major advantages over the guys they took the titles from ...and there opponets afterwords seem to have huge flaws that could easily be toppled by the then champ

hell they practically let jack dempsey keep the world title in the 20s as a trinket he didnt hardly defend it at all!

foreman dosnt got **** on defenses in comparison to tyson ..

rocky ? ... his resume is very very suspect

sonny liston? well we all know his story

hell i'd even take tyson over a jim jefferies or a john l sullivan in terms of who they fought and beat as champ

i mean everyone around here knows im the first to jump on tyson if he ****s up but this "tyson is over rated" **** has gotta stop!

take a good strong look at marciano's resume, tyson's is just as good.

                    peoples opinions will always vary
but i think most of us can agree that he was indeed at the time a very good fighter and deserves to be rememberd for what he achieved before it all fell apart

That's were I train and train my boxers at Buster Gym in Columbus.....he comes to the Gym regularly on the summers,we talk regularly in person and over the phone...cool guy...and no Johnny and Buster when studying the Tyson films notice that Tyson left himself open for straight jabs after hooking or right croses and they exploited that.....Buster would ahve eaten Tyson 9 out of 10 times, Johnny and Buster study that Tillis fight regularly preparing for the fight....Buster was never impressed with Tyson 's defence...
