Buster heart was not into it after he got the money, endorsements and fame taht came from the Tyson fight, he made the big money against Holy when he really according to him , wanted to win, but hnever trained with the same intensity as he did with Tyson, he got the money and run, he invested it well, finally got his nose clean, he is looking really good just about the same weight as the Tyson fight...he donated the money to build the rec center and the boxing gym is there: we have 2 rings, 6 hevay bags, 4 speed bags, 2 slip babs, weight room....and a good supply of boxing accessories..we have a real good amateur program unfortunately not as goos as Cincinnati, Dayton or Cleveland...

At the gym we have a number of young prospects, we have former World Champs and friend: WBO Former WW champ Manny Gallobway-I have sparred with him many times, former LHW contender Vonzell Johnson who fought Mathew Saad Muhamaad and was giving him a lesson in boxing for 10 rounds until he got KO in the 11th, he is the director of the Center, he was compored to Bob Foster back in the late 70's a bad era to be a LHW, fought Michael Spinks also lost by TKO in 7th, Gold Medalist Jerry Page brings his pupuils also and we have competition and help training...it is a good scene ...

these ****** threads will always come up

Tyson is over-rated, Ali was over rated, Holmes was over rated, floyd ducks bigger guys, Ali was the greatest, etc etc its all ****, cos its only In Our Opinion on wat we think tyson, ali, louis, lewis, foreman and every fighter is.....who is it to say that on the nite mike tyson beat Mike Spinks in 1 round he wouldnt beat a muhammed ali when joe frazier beat him in the first fight...or when Tyson destroyed Larry the way Larry did ali, how do we no Tyson would have beat joe frazier, or george foreman, but really its all about wat we think, and i think, and dont care if anyone agrees with me cos im prob not gonna look at this post again...i think tyson on his day, that beein IMP when he knocked out Spinks, would beat any heavyweight put infront of him on that day

I dont believe for a second Buster would beat Tyson 9/10.

Based on the simple fact that Tyson clearly not at his best, plus eventhough Buster fought the fight of a lifetime, he was still saved by a long count.

The uppercut that Tyson caught him with was not one of his hardest shots. With Buster being stopped 3 times before he met Tyson, i think a Tyson on his day stops Buster within 5.

Like i said in my previous post, Tyson made many mistakes that night. Mainly that he stood off Buster for so long, giving Buter the time and space to throw his big punches and jab.
Also Tyson hardly threw any combinations and didnt really go to the body and wasnt following his jab with anything.
Alot of credit must go to Douglas for seizing on Tysons mistakes.

Fair point but i call it educated opinion alot of people her have watched alot of fights from alot of eras and can therefore compare the fighters of course non of us can be absolutely certain of anything but then that is true of all things.

in my opinion spinks was overrated simply cause he beat holmes after he hads been champ for so long. Holmes was fading as can be seen in his two previous fights. physically tyson was probably the most gifted fighter since foreman ansd ali howwevwer he was not a smart fighter and that gave him problems at times.

On his day Tysn would have given any heavyweight a good battle. So Tyson is one of the greatest. He should be top 10, but isnt in a lot of peoples minds.
