WHY WOULD JUAN DIAZ WANNA FIGHT PAC A FIGHTER THAT MOVED UP SO MANY WEIGHTS ALREADY??? FROM 112?? WHY DON'T HE MOVE UP AND FIGHT SOMEONE AT 147??? IF HE IS TRULY A MEXICAN WARRIOR??? COTTO WOULD MURDER THAT MEXICAN BUM.
ALL FUCKING MEXICANS ONLY FIGHT MUCH SMALLER FIGHTER.
-DE LA HOYA IS CLEARLY 20 POUNDS HEAVIER THAN MAYWEATHER.
-ERIK MORALES MADE A LIVING BEATING MUCH SMALLER FIGHTER AT 122.
-JOHN RUIZ FOUGHT A MUCH SMALLER ROY JONES AND GOT WHOOPED.
- ABNER IS FIGHTING A FILIPINO THAT'S ONLY 5'1 LOL I'M TALLER THAN THAT GUY SITTING DOWN.
THIS FUCKING MEXICANS BELIEVING WHAT THE BOXING MEDIA IS FEEDING TO THEIR BEAN SIZE BRAINS AND REALLY DO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE WARRIORS LOL. ONLY FUCKING MEXICANS ARE KEEPING THE LOWER WEIGHTS ALIVE AND WHEN THE MEDIA MENTION MEXICAN WARRIORS. THEY TAKE IT TO THE HEAD LOL. WHATTTA JOKE. ANOTHER MEXICAN WARRIOR IS GONNA GET IT THIS COMING MARCH 15.
SORRY HOMBRE LOL IF THE TRUTH HURTS AND THE REAL FACTS ABOUT BOXING.
Once I read that, I realized how much of an idiot you are. Ruiz is Puerto Rican.
Oh shit! For some reason, on boxrec, I didn't even notice that he had beaten Julio. I just saw TKO1 and though Julio did it. What the hell is wrong with me?
Yeah, I heard Williams was a damn good Olympian, but a shitty pro. He was the first to prove it.
I guess that's why.
Thank you Vic!
No problem. Here is his video when he knocked out Diaz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJUDoIJmg4s
"El Pollo" upset Julio Diaz when Diaz was one of the best prospects and ended Ricardo Williams short Pro career. He was scheduled to fight Miguel Cotto but had a problem with his eyes, which temporarily retired him.
Put Hatton vs. a "nobody" in any soccer stadium in England, you'll get a sell-out. Put Mayweather vs. a "nobody" in a basketball arena, it won't come close to selling out (just like when he fought in Detroit a few years ago). Mayweather needs that name opponent to get people to see him fight. It's that simple.
Nah nah Bro. what's the hurry? :D
If MAB survives JMM he won't survive Packy so he'll eventually lose that title.
If he does survive both, then there's no question MAB should be elevated to the hall of fame.
MAB is already a hall of famer, regardless of what happens in his next fights.
i agree he's a hall of fame candidate whatever happens in his last two fights. but a first-ballot candidate ???? - not sure of that if he lose his last two fights the same way he lost to packy in 03.
I think Barrera has accomplished a lot in boxing and is a first-ballot HOFer. But, I don't think he can beat Marquez (who is past his prime, but still very good), Pacman (who is in his prime), or Soto (who is also in his prime) at this stage of his career.
On a different note, I would love to see Soto vs. Pacman (has "fight of the year" written all over it - given their styles).
I'm sorry but Margarito is facing a fighter who is BETTER than Paul Williams, will bring MORE MONEY than Paul Williams and it will be a much bigger FIGHT than Paul Willaims.
If I was in Margarito's shoes I would do the same damn thing. It's Margarito's first major fight of his entire career.
Couldn't have said it any better.
I just watched the DLH-Mosley II fight for the first time after reading numerous articles about it. First, it was not as good as the first one, which I watched live. Second, there is now way Mosely won that fight. The fight was over after round 10. Scoring generously I had DLH at 6-4 through 10. The rub against DLH was that Mosely landed too many power shots against him. I personally did not see that many really hard shots, and few actually effected DLH. Even in the last round DLH answered Mosely's power shots with plenty of his own, and I thought DLH narrowly won that round, too. Also, Mosely was aggressive, but what about credit for DLH's ring management? Mosley fought DLH's fight. From 1:51 of round 12 until the end I thought DLH fought well, and took a few big shots without effect.
So, in sum, it could be said that the Forrest fights really added to Mosely's ring age. I do not think he will ever be a force again.
As far as DLH vs. Mayweather: I think Oscar in 2000 would have schooled Mayweather of 2007. Oscar is going to have to be as fast as he was in 2000 to defeat Mayweather in May.
I completely agree with your post. I also think that DLH won the 2nd fight against Mosley.
Roy Jones, James Toney, Oscar De La Hoya, Felix Trinidad, Bernard Hopkins, Evander Holyfield, Marco Antonio Barrera, Manny Paciao, Erik Morales, off tha top of my head, What are ya'lls
... and Lennox Lewis, Tzsyu, Tyson, Tapia, Mosley.
what? no mayweather?? the guy they say is the best lightweight of all time. not to say the guy they say is the most gifted boxer of the last 40 years. jermaine taylor to. i know its a little early but trust me he will be.
Greatest light weight of all time??? He's greatest victory in lightweight came against Castillo (although most people think that Castillo won the first fight). Castillo is a good fighter, not a great fighter. Beating other fighters like Famoso Hernandez doesn't make Mayweather the greatest lightweight.
I see a LOT of Mayweather hate in here. He ducked this, he ducked that, blah blah blah. Isn't Margariata ducking somebody himself? For all the hate directed towards Floyd, he has fought and beat the better opponents. I mean, if it came down to it, Floyd would use Marg's head as a teetherball. If you can't see the outcome in this fight, your either a blind hater, or a Marge nutrider. :boxing:
WHo is Magarito ducking?
I hated Jones as a commentator. All he did was big himself up. Everything he said went back to talking about himself. He always big ups the fighters he beat in the past to make his victories more special than what they were.QUOTE]
Very true. I don't want to ever hear him as a commentor again.
Before the end of this year, Boxing has to make a drastic change that will catch the medias eye.
Just my opinion.
But if nothing is done, the downward decline will continue very slowly until nobodies watching anymore. And that could be sooner then u think. Maybe 10 years.
And by change, i mean anything.
Even if its just a mention.
Like a mention of a deal where somewhere in the near future, 1 champ per division.
Maybe some of our hottest stars sign contracts with major companies like NIKE and ADIDAS.
Maybe Promoters will make a deal with eachother, and finally big fights can be made without these bitchy promoters complaining all the time.
Just something
Sounds like a great idea, but sadly to say that it will never happen. Promoters just want to make the most money possible, and they don't really give a shit about boxing in general. It would be wonderful to have one champion per weight, but the championship organizations also want to cash in as much money as they can by having more championships.
Solis doesn't seem to have a strong punch, but has pretty good skills. He moves around the ring well and seems to fight intelligent (uses his long arm advantage). If he can take a punch, I think he can give Manny a tough night.
HOLY SHIT YOU FINALLY SAID IT!!!
btw i was going for Tito that day...
You were goign for a Puerto Rican fighter over a Mexican-American fighter and your complaining about Oscar possibly bringing a Puerto Rican flag??
wow fucking paranoid arent we???
no one hates chicanos. dont fucking victimize yourself, you got bigger problems than whatever mexicans think of you??
It's reality. Let's open our eyes. This is also the reason why Mexican-American fighters have never been accepted by Mexicans (or Mexican-Americans) like Mexican born fighters.
