All of Lacy's recent wins have been razor-thing decisions, majority or otherwise. He's done.
Whoever bumped this thread back up, I enjoy seeing incorrect assumptions using 20/20 hindsight.
The contract terms are nonsense, but I heard on an interview with Haye on Setanta Sports that before both parties re-negotiated David Haye was getting an even worse deal.
Oh well, at least the fight has been made.
Wasn't his card with Omar Sheika PPV as well? Regardless, I won't be watching it. I'll probably just look up the result in the news articles section that weekend, if I feel like it.
I give Mayweather full credit for his accomplishments.
If Obama can bring down the trade deficit and significantly reduce the national debt overall, then I'll give him credit.
What Obama is doing is nationalization of our industries, which I'm against. This may sound harsh, but markets should be allowed to fail so that Adam Smith's hand can correct them a lot faster than government intervention.
However, if you must go through with the buyouts, do it through fiscal responsibility (i.e. savings by pulling by troops overseas in places such as Iraq) rather than unnecessary inflation and subsequent devaluation of our dollar.
And don't get me started on future obligations through Medicare and Social Security that numbers in the trillions of dollars, which by the way we can't afford anymore.
It's a good fight, but Pacquiao will not be get the credit that he truly deserves until he fights Floyd.
Assuming they fight, Manny and Miguel will probably meet at 143.
If Pacquiao wins, everyone who had picked Cotto to win will say,
"LOL, not to take anything away from Manny, BUT I'm going to take away everything from Manny's victory with the any/all of the following points:
(a) Miguel was in trouble during the latter half of his reign at 140 and so it's plausible that he couldn't make weight at 140 lbs.,
(b) he was softened up/never the same due to Margarito's hands of stone/his fight with Clottey,
(c) Miguel's personal issues with his uncle affected his performance, etc."
I want one of those T-shirts.
It's all about promotion, and David Haye is pumping life into this otherwise boring division known as the heavyweight division.
Vladimir will probably win, but I really want David to KO Vladimir.
11.) Chad Dawson
12.) Kelly Pavlik
13.) Chris John
14.) Arthur Abraham
15.) Wladimir Klitschko
16.) Vitali Klitschko
17.) Mikkel Kessler
18.) David Haye
19.) Andre Berto
20.) Tomasz Adamek
I'm not sure he can take the punch of a true middleweight like AA or Pavlik or even a supermiddle like Kessler. AAt 147 or 154, he slaughters everyone.
Later on in his career, I'd like to see him knock off a top alphabet holder at 175 like Garay or even Erdei.
Gamboa could destroy williams in 2-5 rounds. no welterweigh can beat paul though he is to great.
I hope you're not serious with that statement. We can't be thinking of the same Gamboa...
Of the current light welterweight champions:
WBA: Kotelnik has a date with Khan,
IBF:Urango's fighting with Berto for his WBC welterweight strap,
WBC: Alexander and Witter will duke it out for this vacant belt
WBO: Bradley twiddling his thumbs.
I wouldn't mind Bradley.
Anything can happen in boxing, indeed. But JMM gets hit too much by lesser opponents like Diaz and Casamayor. PBF is going to potshot him all the way to a clear UD.
Shifting gears, all the trash-talking Mayweather is going to do about JMM on 24/7....won't faze Juan nearly as much as it has with other opponents in the slightest since he doesn't even speak English (and don't say he'll use an interpreter....something is always lost in translation).
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
That would be funny but I think you can get in trouble for that.
You probably would be escorted out by security a/o made to pay for the false alarm charges.
Funny video. I think for this year, he announced that he would fight Arthur Abraham.
I'd rather watch Klitschko-Ibragimov again than watch this crap...........okay maybe not, but this fight still sucks. "Most important fight of 2009"....laughable.
Guzman would give him problems. Paulie would not, Manny would just walk right through his punches, Valero would give him trouble early on until Manny caught him flush in the middle rounds.
A three-way tie between Valuev-Holyfield, Klitschko-Ibragimov, and Mayweather-Baldomir. I rotate between the three whenever I need to fall asleep quickly.
Calzaghe/Jones 24/7 is probably the most boring of the series thus far. I was glad that it was only 3 episodes.
Admittedly, the Mayweathers (Roger, Jr. and Sr.) make it far more interesting than it would otherwise be with all their trash-talking. And the training footage is icing on the cake.
Down, could someone who downloaded re-up please?
I've been meaning to compile a list of all the songs used in 24/7, both soundtrack and the orchestra scores used.
