guys i really want to see PAC finish unsettled business with JMM first and foremost but if Top Rank is offering EM for March 19, that is fine with me ...
i guess JMM will loose out on this if he keeps on holding back, unless by chance or luck he gets a crack with MAB...
i think what's happening right now with JMM is to make all the necessary noise so that he will catch the attention of the media..anyway, this may be a good plot being hatched ny his handlers to draw more viewers in their upcoming fight with the pacman..it's a free media coverage, like what actors and actresses are doing when they have a film nearly to be shown in the movie houses..they create a controversy, so that people will dig what's going on..and that's it..just my opinion..

I really don't know if Pac will KO Morales...depends on Morales' heart coz one thing I'm guaranteeing is that EM will be knocked DOWN. It's Pac's trademark.

morales going up in a higher division is likened to what oscar dela hoya did in his previous fights..he was sluggish because of the added weight..he is not in his natural fighting weight, so, his punch may be a little bit softer...

It was almost shocking how fast Marquez figured Pacman out, Pac was strickly head hunting the rest of the night, he appeared almost sluggish after round 1. Pacquiao has been stopped in the past by lesser fighters, I'm sure this time around JMM will leave little doubt about who is the man at 126lbs.
pacquiao was only knocked out 3 times, the 2 ones a loss. the first knock out of his career was due to his inexperience, he was winning the fighr, but he got careless...the second one, he was severely dehydrated to make the weight limit, and he lost that one too. the third one, he was just unprepared for that fight, because of his night time activities and playing billiards, but he came back to win that fight..LOL

yes manny is one of the most exciting featherweights today..but I think HBO must be blamed also if the rating was not that good because they have all the machineries to promote a fight, not only to the home countries of those 2 people fighting but also to every part of the world. can they do that?? You can't really blame HBO. It's very hard to promote a fight to an American audience where both fighters are not fully fluent in English or do not have some sort of flash or charisma. Marquez has a second rate Mexican following at best, his fans are the leftovers from Barrera, Morales, Castillo and others. As much as people want to believe that Pacquiao is popular in the United States, he is far from it, not on a national level. Prince Hamed was a huge ratings guy because of the flash, charisma, attitude and one punch KO ability.
There was a lot of talk over the Pacquiao-Marquez bout and the rematch should do much better in the TV ratings.
yeah, you are right. i think the rematch will attract more viewers. did prince naseem hamed had really those big followers in the US? i know he is a yemeni, but also have been to the UK, so maybe, that helped the tv rating..americans and british watching...so as likened to kostya tzyu, who is from russia( am i right ) but now lives in australia..do you think this situations helped them..so if manny will settle in the US, do you think it will help his reputation grow higher?? :confused:
If Marquez is so technically sound, he had 11 rounds to score a knockout or even a knockdown on Pacman. But he couldn't.
Marquez will still be the same counterpunching boxer, but this time he'll be running around the ring more than what he did last time. He tasted the power of Pacquiao and its tattooed on his nose. There's no better reminder than that.
Marquez will win if Pacman gets tired in chasing him. Thats why Marquez is running up and down in that crazy mountain.
Pacman wins if he breaks that nose again. The first round is the best round to score a TKO against Marquez coz Pacman can still chase him in this round. Pacquiao doesn't have the stamina of Marquez.

why should they spend more of thier money on pac-man than they do other fighters to promote a fight. personally i don't think manny is one of the most exciting fighters to watch. stylistically, while very effective, he is an ugly fighter. shame i couldn't see his last fight because it seems that he has added a few new weapons to his arsonal. in the fights i have seen pac in he has won on power and aggression, not boxing style and skills. personally i hope hbo does show pac fights. if he is fighting morales i don't think we will have a problem with that. but lets face it folks, pac man isn't that well known to the casual boxing fan. pac man needs the big name opponents to generate the kind of viewing audience hbo wants. and people wonder why its hard for him to get fights with the big names. he wants too much money. errrr murad does. i think another problem pac man has is that even though he has had the one fight with mab the general american boxing fan has not taken him in yet.

I think the main reason the ratings are low when Manny fights is because ALLLLL the filipinos (myself included) turn it into a feast and have one big party and watch it in one house.
