Il wake up at dinner time sat, go the boxing gym for a few hours, come home watch the F.A cup final, start drinking afew cans ov cider!...then go on xbox till the show starts at 2am, then order takeaway and crack open the jack daniels :)......I always watch boxing on my own as non ov my friends are intrested in it, atleast i can focus on the fight without distractions, anybody else watch the fights on there own??
Lewis whopped Vitali's bitch ass, why would he give hime a rematch??? I'm glad lennox retired when he did (As one of the best heavyweights ever) atleast he has $$$ and his brains and family intact, unlike moste most boxers who don't have a fooking clue when to quit & will end up brain dead in tha near future (Holyfield), why would Lennox accept a rematch with Vitali when he would pull out of the fight with a bruised pinky?..Lennxo took the fight on 2 weeks notice & was supposed to be fighting that scrub Kirk Johnsen, thats why he looked like shit and had no stamina...and HE STILL WON THA FIGHT!!!
Lewis dominated Vitali so much that he was losing 4 rounds to 2 on EVERY scorecard. Lewis may have "technically" won, but there was no clear winner since the fight ended prematurely from a cut that might have been caused by a clash of heads.
Fighting on short notice benefited Lewis much more than Vitali, since lewis had much more experience in title fights. Lewis was thinking about a rematch with Vitali and said Vitali had to fight Johnson to prove that his eye was healed enough and after seeing the beating VK put on Johnson, Lewis knew the odds were against him to beat VK legitimately.
Why did it take Lewis nearly a year and a dominating win by VK over a fighter (Johnson) Lewis considered to be a legitimate contender for him to retire?
Some good questions there...in my opinion Lewis thought he had achieved all that he could in his carear, he was universally recognised as the top dog in the division....Maybe Lennox felt he was out of his prime & didnt want to take tha risk (He's not a pussy, but a smart person for doing that) Lennox fought everybody taht mattered among the heavyweights(Apart from Bowe who bitched out)...i find it hald to believe that Lewis would be "scared" of Vitali, i think Lewis realised he was out of his prime whereas Vitali was in his prime so to speak, like i said poreviously Lennox retired the heavyweight champ of teh world beating every opponent he has ever faced, and made ashit load of $$$$ doing, he now commentats for HBO so he is still making money, and last time i heard he was married with kids, why jepordise that with a fighter you beat (allbeit controversually)
unless you're rocky marciano. Lol.
LOL yeah my bad dude...But nearly all the greats lose at some point, its nothing to be ashamed of, I just felt let down by Naz because he had the talent, but he let the fame and the $$$$$ get to his head!!!
Erm it wasn't neccerserally the fight that pissed me of, it was the aftermath...Im talking aboutNaz vs barrera, Fair play Naz lost to the better fighter that night but i was a HUGE Naz fan and the way he just gave up (Apart from tha shit Calvo fight) annoyed the hell out of me....sure he lost, WHAT THE BIG DEAL, all the greatest fighters lose at some point in their carear, I was ahuge fan & he's tah fighter that got me into boxing at 12 years old but till this day im still annoyed at how he went out!
Will the announcers spoil the fight results? In England we get the International commentary rather than HBO or Showtime. I planned on watching the HBO card then taping the Showtime card and watching it after, hopefully the bellends dont spoil anything!!
The fight isn't goin to be in Las vegas because the UFC have an event planned on the same date, & they dont want a boxing & UFC event in the same town at the same time!
In the interviews I've seen David comes accross as a humble guy & a very down to earth guy, He's being confident in his abilities...nothing else!...Wot do you expect him to say, i hope i dont get hit when i keep my left hand down and my week chin gets exposed, HELL NO!!, lets see him in with a decent heavyweight who can bang before we say he has a bad chuin, h i think Haye will be Undisputed Heavyweight champ in tha next 2 yaers without a dowt!!
NICE! i saw rjj vs john ruiz there
also saw pac vs em III
that venue is SICK to watch a fight at!
Im hoping to be one of the lucky ones who gets tickets lol...Do they have lots of big screens up so you see the action?...I went to Hatton mallignaggi but was right at the back of MGM behind the big screen, they were 300$ tickets aswell and felt a lil ripped of
