David Haye expects his fight with Tyson Fury on September 28 to be a quick-sell-out and has urged his legions of fans to grab their tickets while they still can.
The heavyweight showdown, scheduled to take place at the 20,000-seater Manchester Arena later this summer, is considered by most to be the biggest fight held in Britain for many years. And, for that reason, 'The Hayemaker' is encouraging swiftness at the box office. Haye's manager and trainer, Adam Booth, told Sky Sports Ringside that 10,000 tickets have already been grabbed up in three hours.
"I don't expect tickets to hang around for this fight," admitted Haye. "I've been involved in some big events in the past, and this one is right up there. To be honest, I think we could sell out the venue twice over, such is the demand for this fight. Every man and his dog will want to see me spark out Fury on September 28
"I advise all my fans to get their tickets as soon as possible, and ensure that Team Hayemaker outnumber Team Fury on the night. If that happens, I'm certain we'll generate an amazing atmosphere at the Manchester Arena. You do the singing and chanting, and I'll do the punching and knocking out."
