Why would anyone duck Thurman?
He hits like a mule,has a good chin, and boxing skills.
After all, you only have to fight him..."One Time"
:boxing::boxing::boxing:
He should be a champion someday.
I am scared for Salido if he beats up Cruz, the liberal extremists might twist it and charge him with gay bashing hate crime.
You are an ass. Grow up. The conservatives have some closet queens like Lindsey Graham and Marcus Bachmann.
I finally watched the fight and Canelo didn't fight badly but Mayweather was on another level. Most of the fight, he stayed in front of Canelo and he still dominated him. Canelo was too big and strong to knock out. It was a masterful performance.
A prime Ali would have beaten Tyson, probably knocking him out. Once Ali took Tyson's best punch and kept fighting, he would break Tyson down and knock him out.
I think the Salvador Sanchez V Wilfredo Gomez is one of my favorite bouts, I know its was fairly one sided but for me its really up there with Corrales v Castillo, Corrales v Castilo and Gatti v Ward are two of my favorite bouts and I would have to say that Sanchez V Gomez is number three.
Anyone else think this bout is massive under-rated? I really think that Sanchez even though mostly a featherweight would have beaten Corrales, Broner, and probably Mayweather at the superfeather weight.
Sanchez died far too young. I think he could have been a champion in several divisions.
I threw my back out a couple of months ago and performing day to day tasks was a struggle, let alone trying to fight a professional boxing match. Without seeing the fight, I don't know if he quit or not but extreme back pain would make it impossible to fight.
My brother got me it for Christmas, i read many fighter autobiographies and so far this is one of the best, I'm about 100 pages in, anybody else read or reading it
I got it for Christmas and haven't started yet.
Like Hopkins, Mayweather has great fundamentals, never lets himself get out of shape, and always stays around his fighting weight. It's called being a professional.
I just watched the Trout-Canelo fight and Canelo has power. He knocked down Trout with a straight right that didn't seem all that hard and Trout is a big, durable, and smart fighter. Canelo also has good boxing skills. I think it will be an interesting fight.
If GGG can establish his jab, I think he wears down Canelo by a decision or late stoppage. If Canelo can take away GGG's jab, things might get interesting.
GGG used his boxing skills against a tough opponent, didn't go for the home run punch and walked Canelo down almost the entire fight. Instead of throwing and missing; which takes more energy, GGG made sure he landed punches. This is why it's called boxing and not a street fight; strategy, pacing onself are part of strategy and a game plan; great fighters have a paln b and c when a doesn't work.
