Also Guerrero is fast & I don't see a very basic 1-dimensional guy like Khan outboxing The Ghost for sh1t.
People are under this illusion with Khan over his zip style that he is incredibly fast & can outbox anyone. (not saying he doesn't have good handspeed) I suggest watching Garcia vs Khan again as he wasn't landing anything and was getting countered to death by Garcia!
Here...
you are right in your assesment khan gets ahead of himself and gets a little crossed up and let me just say as men when we train hard and polish our skills we seem to forget that when we dont our skills diminish but we talk they never did lets dance
guerrero cant hurt khan so he has no chance at all....khan has all the advantages, speed , power, size, skills, smarts..
judah knocks him the **** out
the ghost needs to get right back in the gym watch his own fight and make some adjustments and get used to the extra weight 15 months is a long time between fights aydin did his best to knock the ring rust off i say ghost can take anything khan has to offer with a grin he took some major shots on saturday and stayed in front of aydin i was nervous as a whore in church i thought for sure he was done in the tenth i think whomever khan fihgts he has to put in some serious work in the gym he is fast but has a few bad habits like draging that right hand back i say the ghost by ko look at aydins face after the the fight the has power but that liver shot about half way in the first round took the starch out of him look at it close and tell me if im wrong lets dance
i talked to roberts brother today and he is ready to go no problems with shoulder he looks real good in sparing hasnt lost any hand speed i think he will suprise aydin and all those that feel the way you do we will find out on fight night lets dance
There's a few.
But, I don't think anybody has been in the P4P list as consistently and consecutively (give a take a year or so due to retirement etc) like Mayweather has.
Outside of 2008, Mayweather has been on the P4P list from 1998-2012.
ceasar chavez sr 88-0 the amount of fights is by far the greater accomplishment lets dance
Guerrero is getting knocked out. He's taking on too much, too quick against a relentless, murderous puncher. The Ghost will have a hard time just keeping this guy off of him.
thats what is so great about this fight it is dangerous and can end in more ways than one alot of people might agree with you and i respect that but here is what i think robert had the balls to take this fight and he is going to be sharp and strong ring rust was left in the gym robert has alot more skills than they are giving him credit for aydins people say they feel sorry for robert because aydins going to steam roll him save that sorry feeling for the flight home robert is going to show this guy what cleto reyes taste like robert hits hard enough to stop this guy and anyone who has ever been in there knows straight punches beat looping punches every time and i think robert will have this overconfident steamroller coming in trying to get the ko you know what happens when you try to force a ko it wont happen robert will be the toughest fight this guy has ever fought if he gets careless it might not play out like they think who ever gets caught first might have to cancel christmas the way to keep him off him is to turn him so much he wont be able to set his feet a good hitter cant hit if he cant set his feet i know everyone has a story and yours is a good one too we will see it up close and personal real soon lets dance
Real interested in what Guerrero brings to this higher weight. To me he is of the most underrated fighters and could pose difficulties to the elite at welterweight if he carries the weight well. I think Aydin gets worked possible late stoppage.
one out of a million i agree robert will show this guy what lets dance really means aydin learns placement is the key then power also protect your self at all times ask ortiz he was going to ko floyd but pbfm caught him slipping on that level it only takes a fraction of a second aydin is not floyd or tyson but he is dangerous i say he gets caught being overzealous trying to get the ko and gets stopped lets dance
Where are the knuckleheads who said Guerrero R.I.P and Aydin would put him to sleep???!!!
thats what im talking about hey just got home from the fight i will be the first to say i was wrong about the fight going the distance but i can tell you all the good the bad and the HATERS that was the toughest fight either one had ever fought i gained respect for both guys i will start with aydin i thought he was a jerk the way he carried himself up to the fight disrespect for the media and his opponent but let me tell you this he was on a seek and destroy mission and he has no reverse anyone who has ever been in there knows it is all but impossible to throw power shots every time you throw a punch he was relentless and tough as they come definitely not a bum ok now for guerrero first to all the **** talking HATERS i love it when all the crap you say is on paper i saw the fight live and as soon as i got home watched it on tv it looked alot closer live when you see it in the first round the ghost gets caught with the first of many shots to the liver four of them hard clean shots that you could hear in top row then in the tenth round looked like he might get stopped i saw him get caught to the body and then hard uppercuts it seems to me all the questions have been answerd power heart speed stamina i thought he had an adrenaline dump and the extra weight was to much but if you look half way through the first round he gets hit with a hard body shot that should have sent him to the canvas after that punch he stayed right in front of aydin because when your liver gets hit it takes all your wind wants dreams and desires to all that had any doubt about Robert Guerrero he proved to you me and the world that he is for real and has earned a shot at any and all in the division Mayweather included i call like i see it old school lets dance
murakman have you ever once in your life put on any gloves besides latex it takes major balls to do what this kid is doing fighting lower weight class and keeping his mouth shut has gotten him nothing the shoulder injury was real and so was the surgery i think he should shake the tree see what falls out it is prize fighting a bit of advice for you bro if you look at that guy in the mirror as you do the fighters you hate on you might find whatever it is that makes you the hater you are once that gets handled you can probably see things how they truly are and give an honest assesment but when spew all this nonsense out of your pie hole i will have to give you real story truth is truth and bs is bs if your hate at least have the right info every man that steps in the ring has guts lets dance
if the ref lets Aydin go to the body, Guerrero will be KOed. it really depends on how much the ref protects Guerrero.
its up to guerrero not the ref depends on style and preparation
the wizard king said it best
I thought the fight was very entertaining as was the under card. I had Guerrero winning 115-114. The judges scorecards were a bit disappointing. Guerrero has moxie and technique, but too many punches are just air. His holding in the 12th round was also ridiculous. Calling out Mayweather seems to be the trendy thing to do, but it seems like he is just trying to hit the lottery. No way does he deserve that fight. I'd favor him versus Maidana, call it even versus Alexander, and consider him an underdog versus Kahn. He clearly has no power at 147. I'd like to see him fight either Broner or Rios.
mjgaz6 and eddycolon21 thats funny you can tell alot by a name you must be mad because you conjoined twins who shared half a brain and joined at the colon but the sad part is you were born and raised without a mama all you have ever had was two daddys and a chemistry set i call it like i see it lets dance
6 world titles? Lol, what?! He's only had 2 world championships at Featherweight and Super featherweight - interims don't count and neither do minor championships...
every time you step in there it counts its the fight the belt is a trophy there are some damn good fighters that dont have a belt it doesnt matter what you did yesterday its who your get in there with today ww division is stacked looks to me like this kids jumping right in the fire 14 months is a long lay off there is a ton of variables ring rust will show and so will sharpness we will see real soon wont we i love this **** been doing it since i was a kid so dont take it personal all i have seen out of some of you guys is hate and besides i know and love this kid and after all he and his wife have endured i know he has what it takes to take this guy out i know one thing for sure he wont get knocked out kissing him on the cheek looking at the ref lets dance
Marquez and Mayweather would take Guerrero back to school.
one thing all the haters need to know you might be right he might get schooled you never know but what i do know is that boy wont be late for school lets dance
Guerrero should be more supported, sad what happened to his wife who has cancer I believe, and a payday would be good for him. But this whole WWE-type set-up storyline by GBP to get him the Mayweather without earning it simply because he is a Golden Boy fighter is pretty dispacle and boxing would be better off if it doesn't pay off for him and Golden Boy. Hope Aydin beats him
its only going to be guerrero and aydin in the ring its up to floyd who he fights everyone knows that he can vacate this belt and probably will but this fight puts guerrero in a position for some great fights if he smashes this dude and i do believe he will forget the hype this has never been done in the history of the sport if he does this he deserves the big money fights hope he proves all the haters wrong he will take this guy out it wont go the distance i say four or five rounds at the very most from the looks of the weigh in it might not make it to the second round all the questions will be answered in a few hours lets dance
If we've seen fights like Canelo vs M. Hatton (WBC 154 lbs), Mares vs Morel (WBC 122), Morales vs Cano (it was first Morales vs Barrios; 140 WBC), JMM vs Fedchenko (interim 140 WBO) or Mayorga can have other chance... is it so strange?
the fight to make for the sake of BOXING leaving all bull**** behind is Aydin vs Maidana at 147
Lol. Sure! The guy is an OK fighter. Who the hell is Aydin? And I guarantee you Mayweather will say " who the hell is Guerrero? " I guess is nickname " The Ghost " speaks for itself.
Funny thing is, why don't none of these fighters call out Pacquiao? Seems EVERYONE want to call out Floyd. They all want that pay day. Cotto deserved his shot. I dont see many people out there that deserve a shot. I'd rather see a Cotto rematch if the Pacquiao fight doesn't happen. Who the **** wants to see Guerrero?
your mom lets dance
Thats what i was saying, I agree with you.
Thank god above for letting your uncle daddy lay down with his sister after being on drunken stuper and bringing your disrespectful braindead imoral *****made weak excuse abortion that lived ass into this world the type and of amount of stuff that spews out of your sewer is beyond anything close to a normal human being and the only reason im even responding is because i was raised old school and i believe i can teach you some life lessons that might help you in some way this is a boxing site keeping that in mind if you are of age 21 or older i have raised four girls that are more of a man than you will ever be so i challenge you this is real i mean this if you ever are anywhere close to the garlic capitol of the world i will let you step in the ring with my 25 year old daughter and i promise she will beat the bark off you sorry i call it like i see it lets dance
guerrero takes him out ring rust left in the gym
:lol1: This thread deserves a bump after the fight.
Guerrero coming off of a long lay off- Check
Guerrero coming off of an shoulder injury- Check
Guerrero moving up two weight divisions into Aydins natural weight class- Check
Aydin is in beast mode training 24/7. The guy pretty much sleeps, eats, and trains. Adyin does't need to run his mouth to the media about how tough he is. He will let his hands do the talking and Guerrero can dream about the Mayweather fight all he wants when he gets put to sleep.
i say aydin is overconfident and will get stopped
Exactly. There aint no way Robert Guerrero jumps up 2 divisions and wins that title, especially coming of shoulder surgery and a 15 month lay-off.
when you punch your power comes from the floor through your legs and ass then you pop that shoulder and out the end of your fist so whatever you weigh thats what you hit with so if you weigh 147 thats what you hit with mike tyson is a perfect example you see him dip and push off his leg when he throws a shot so robert is not showing up at ww with featherweight power aydin will be shocked to say the least lets dance
Guerrero really does mouth off too much. I've gotten sick of it a long time ago
no kidding, who else is on the list?
well he was lined up to fight Maidana in August of last year before injuring his shoulder .. but with that said, what does Guerrero bring to the table vs a potential opponent?
"He acts like these big fights should just be handed to him. but he hasn't really done anything to deserve a fight with a marquee name."
^ that's my issue with The Ghost, (emphasis on the bold) for somebody with a solid record of 29-1 he's won some belts (at feather, Super Feather) and 2 interim belts @ LW
but when you stack up Guerrero's career accomplishments to how much he runs his mouth
it just doesn't add up.
this will be a good way to find out exactly where he is at right now if he wins this fight he is ready for any and all if not got to get back up work hard to climb that ladder again he has been trying to get a big fight for some time he wants to fight the best being quiet didnt work i used to dislike floyd and i would tell my friends that he was own biggest fan they should give him a bottle of lotion and a mirrior when he wins he has enough money then i looked at him a little harder and he is doing the same thing ali did but better people want to see him get a beating and will pay to see it you have to admit he is gifted and is elite but he does pick his fights and tries to stack the deck in his favor i really thought ortiz was going to get him i watched that fight more than once and if ortiz would have kept the pressure on him he was starting put some leather on him he was 14 pounds heavier and was using it to put floyd on the ropes to bad he had to learn the true meanining of protect your self at all times when he got up i noticed he had a smile from ear to ear he knew win lose or draw he was a millionaire just getting the fight was like winning the lotto you all know his story so dont blame the ghost for doing whatever it takes to get the big fights this is a huge risk and should be a good one lets dance
Guerrero claimed shoulder injury, surgery needed. He cancels a fight with Maidana who was deep into training. Guerrero STILL hasn't re-scheduled that fight. Marcos Maidana has been available and still waiting for Guerrero to grow a pair, and reschedule that fight. He owes Maidana that fight. Guerrero since has been calling out everyone in Boxing EXCEPT Maidana. So don't give fans this BS nobody will fight you. You just beat a bigger nobody that just happened to have one of the many alphabet titles floating around and you act like you just beat someone credible. Tell Guerrero, to pick the phone up and reschedule his fight with Maidana. What a weasel this Guerrero is. He's looking for one career making payday with Mayweather.
mr tlarry have you looked at the status under your screen name ha you are so funny just man up say i dont like the guy instead of talking how interm belts mean nothing and as far as the maidana fight injury was legit he tried to get get a cortizone shot and fight any wayhis dad said no way you need at least two hands for that dude its allways the ones barking the loudest about no balls that roll up the windows and lock the doors when **** goes down im sure you have to train just as hard for those interm belts as any other and on fight night you still have to get it on with the guy who has it at that time he just doesnt hand it over you talk more **** than a chinese auctioneer it is clear you are a self proclaimed fight critic that has never laced up a pair of boxing gloves of any kind and as far as balls go get off the couch i think your sitting on yours the majority of guys on here no something about the sweet science or the dance but you my friend must be tone deaf or sitting on the sidelines watching everyone else dance nothing personal just my opinion tlarry/interm champion ha i call it like i see it old school lets dance
By Lyle Fitzsimmons - Believe it or not, I’m just like anyone else.
I hear the stories about Robert Guerrero and his considerable family devotion, and I find it impossible not to wish them all the best.
I hope he wins some fights and makes some money. I hope his wife gets the care she needs and stays healthy. And I hope they retire together and have a prolonged happily ever after.
The only time those things are compromised is when he opens his mouth.
Because the more the “Ghost” talks… the more his bravado should scare his loved ones.
Case in point: The aftermath of Saturday’s Showtime main event.
Instead of accepting kudos for a scorecard win over Turk slugger Selcuk Aydin and downplaying the garish jewelry presented to nearly everyone in a World Boxing Council top 10 these days, he added gallons of wordy fuel to an already ill-advised fire.
First, with all due respect to afterglow endorphins and the schoolboy giddiness of a Steve Farhood interview, any 29-year-old with a shred of grounding would concede that a two-defense reign at 126 pounds and precisely one full-fledged title win since doth not a quadruple crown make. i say and who am i this is getting blown way out of poportion props to the kid for what he has done everyone at some point in their life has let their mouth write checks their ass cant cash and if that is the case dont you think it will reveal itself i dont think there is a fighter in the game who has talked more **** than pbf it was the great cassius clay but pbf has taken the crown if tis kid can piss him off and get a fight i say well done mission complete as far as the encrusted streets of gilroy go hey lyle you do know the first **** came from ireland gerald fitzpatric and pactric fitzgerald lets dance
I feel that the weight difference is a real, real threat to the Ghost. I do commend him for coming up in weight & actually fighting a welterweight, hope he makes it through the fight without getting hurt. But I just want to see how he looks at this weight. It's hard to act like he'll just walk through this guy. After all he's had a long layoff & this is a 2 weight class jump.
you have a good point i dont think either one walks through the other i think whomever makes a mistake and gets caught this by no means will be easy thats why it has never been done if any one has the skill the balls and the heart it is the ghost his family has been to hell and back i have been there and seen it up close i have nothing but love and respect for him and his family just to set the record straight i didnt see anything but a bunch of haters on here when i first read these forums so i had to do what any man would do for his people and so i back them even if their wrong dont you lets dance
I think Guerrero's gonna be gassed after 6 round's, all that extra weight and time out of the ring is really gonna slow him down. Aydin has a good work rate and he's extra hype'd for this fight, to him it's his coming out party. Hopefully after this fight Guerrero can move back down to 135 and get a major fight with Broner.
some people seem to forget the mental aspect of the game is where the fight is won or lost i was told by an old man when i was a kid training for the junior olympics he said its one thing to feel like a beast but its a whole different ballgame when you become a beast and being focused enough to know the difference it looks to me like both fighters are very well prepared and hungry i think they skip the feeling out process and start dropping bombs you have to believe in your self before you can impose your will on someone else this will be a good one dont blink
Guerrero shouldn't be looking at Ortiz. Ortiz should be put back on undercards, every time he has been ME he has ****ed up badly.
Lopez would be a fun fight, unfortunately for Lopez, he is about to be given a new face by Canelo.
The options, although they look great at first glance, are kind of weak for Guerrero right now.
not if he can make enough noise to get pbf pissed off thats what alot of these guys dont get if he beat aydin it puts him first in line and allthough it wasnt pretty he found a way to do it and if that doesnt earn it wtf does lets dance
Alvarez, Pac, Bradley, Cotto (rematch) Although I wouldn't want to see that, but over Guerro or whatever his name is. He can't beat:Khan, Ortiz, Cotto, Canelo, Pacquiao and for damn sure can't beat Mayweather. Dude is a bumb he needs to be fighting like Maligini and maybe Devon Alexander, I put money he couldn't be Alexander so yeah I named a gang of people who would tap that ass. He needs to shut up, win some fights, and hop off Mayweathers nutt's acting desperate for a pay day.
he dropped pac man sparring at the wild card gym true story because he had ring rust and wasnt polished you think this guy has no skills look again he is willing to fight any and all he needs to get in the gym and work once he is polished he is a good fight for any one you mentioned lets dance
Well said, all these haters are lost. Ghost will give anyone in the division a run for their money.
PAD83 SAYs IT BEST thank god for all the haters it makes the world go round old school lets dance
I liked watching him fight last night. I couldn't believe he was still throwing that hard in the 12th round. You would think he would be tired from throwing those hard shots all night. But he was still in there in the 12th trying to knock Robert head off. He should get all the respect from us fans he's one tough fighter. He lost the fight and he had no excuses. I would like to see him in there with some fighters at 147. I could see him knocking out some pretty good fighters if he gets the big fights at that weight.
dude is a machine you learn more from defeat than you ever do with the win he will come back better lets dance
