larry's love for floyd is true.
it's genuine manlove.
people need heroes, man.
It's strange and obsessive enough to warrant a psychological evaluation. Such unconditional love and admiration for a complete stranger of the same sex? It's not something you see every day that's for sure.
nice thread larryx--floyd is the best period...give the man his just due--he more than deserves it folks---nobody has accomplished as much as him in the amount of time he's accomplsihed it...it's unprecedent--it's a brilliant career---he wouldn't be where he is today if he wasn't great---what does that say about the people who place him there then if he's not that great?lol
people stop trolling please...
Quality of opposition is obviously the biggest defining factor of a fighters quality. Mayweather has a good record but nowhere near the best in that.
Depends on who ur comparing him to. In the current era, he degree beats just about everyone but Manny and Hopkins. And with them its pretty close as well.
I said streak meaning it broke, but unless mayweather fights more then 80 times and still undefeated then we can brag but as of now with 40 some fights and undeafeated means nothing.
Why cause
those who have gone undeafeted longer but eventually lost could have easily retired before their lost and bam they would have already beat mayweather record.
That why title defenses means more. I mean even that can be flawed as a way to measure but that hold more weight as a measuring stick then usuing undeafeted as a blanket measuring stick./

How else are you going to compare against the old guys? Trinkets are easy to pick up compared to those days. Convert Mayweathers trinkets and he would have been 2 division world champion.
Dude, you're going up against a guy w over 21,000 posts in a year, under just this one name. That's not counting his others.
Don't waste your time trying to understand his slobber.
nice post..
this is 2012..not 1926

Omar Narvaez was undefeated 12 years before losing to Donaire. He had 2 draws though.
Dzinzurik was undefeated for 12 years before the Martinez fight.
Paul Spadafora is approaching the 20 year mark pretty fast, I think he's at 17 years now. If you don't count "draws", he drew on his 14th year.
Calzaghe was undefeated 15 years when he retired.
Pressed for time, can't think of anyone else and using the phone to send this - so i guess off the top spadafora and calzaghe come to mind.
nice post..
It would have been 2 weight classes in the original 8 divisions.

name them please
well who else has won 8 titles in 5 divisions while remaining undefeated???including 3 lineal titles

I respect Floyd to the fullest but in all honesty this is pointless
I asked a simple question and no1 can answer it....why cant anyone just say the answer we all know..NO 1 HAS EVER DONE THIS..NO 1
LOL right. silly threads.
you knew what he meant though. This is a thread to talk about Floyd and bask in his glorly this thread is for the die hard fans of him to come together embrace and hold hands and sing hallelujah.
and plus to prove more how much undefeated doesnt mean anything, their plenty of fighters that gone undefeated on a longer streak.
what probably hold more weight is how many title defenses has he had?
and he would not be the top their either.
Pointless thread when you break it down.
name them please
Time doesn't mean ****, it's how many fights and against whom that matters.

hugh grant has been sour graping for 16 years and counting.....
I think Floyd should retire for 10 years, comeback when he is 45years old and get the beatings of beatings. But at least he can boast he was unbeaten for 26 years.
Floyd fans would like to see that. They dont really care to see Floyd fight, they just care about statistics and stuff like that.
