I like Canelo, but no way in hell he fights Beterbiev. He stalked and walked through punches from a much bigger and capable boxer in Gvozdyk.
Canelo is smart and knows that's an unrealistic fight.
wow
Bivol gets thoroughly outboxed and Beterbiev only has a punchers chance:smashfrea
The 6'0" pure boxer Bivol gets thoroughly outboxed by the smaller Canelo? Even Kovalev was racking up rounds by boxing the much smaller Canelo until he finally caught him.
Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not..it's been years since I've posted here lol.
Canelo knew what he was doing verse Kovalev, just as he knew what to do verse GGG.
you're probably one of those people who think "but but Wilder was getting out-boxed until he knocks them out"
:smashfrea Bivol is not all that impressive, I'm sorry. Beterbiev is a dangerous fight which I don't see Canelo taking but who knows
I don't think we disagree on Canelo knowing what he was doing against Kovalev. I'm talking about Bivol and how being outboxed by a much bigger fighter with a chin is a very likely outcome.
Regarding Wilder, I'm not sure what your point is. Many times he has been losing on the cards until he KOs his opponents. That happened with Fury even though it was a draw, and likely will result in a loss in their rematch.
I have no dogs in these fights. Just giving my observations.
Canelo is not afraid of any fighter. Anyone from 160 to 175 can get it.
I agree. I don't think Canelo is scared of anyone. That's what makes him a great champ. I'm saying he knows intuitively that Beterbiev is a different beast from Kovalev.
I'm trying not to overthink this rematch. Fury arguably should've gotten the nod in the first fight after being out of shape for a long time.
Rematches historically favor the boxer, and Fury is in much better shape now, so I'll say Fury by majority decision.
X-factors: Wilder's crazy power & Fury's focus leading up to the fight.
Fight Dillian Whyte while we wait for Usyk and AJ to settle their score.
After that Fury should unify with the winner of Usyk vs AJ.
This. No other logical path.
Prime version of all of them win World titles EASILY in this era.
At MW/SMW they'll beat everyone now bar Canelo.
Don't get me wrong. I love Canelo & GGG, but you're that confident Canelo sweeps all of them? Especially RJJ? Hard to swallow.
Floyd Mayweather Jr - 1
Manny Pacquiao - 5
Mike Tyson yes Prime Mike - 7
Muhammed Ali - 3
Sugar Ray leonard - 4
Amir Khan - 6
Miguel Cotto - 8
Julio Cesar Chavez - 9
Bernard hopkins - 2
Pure boxing skill, not athleticism.
Wow I didn't even know it was a effing catchweight fight. It's for the 154lbs belt!!!!
This will make so much sense explaining it to my friends.
"Wait, he's under the limit by 3 pounds right?"
"No, he's 1.8 over"
"I thought JMW was 154"
"It is"

Interesting read. I don't agree with the whole inactivity thing. He was off almost 2 years before Marquez and looked great. There is zero proof of inactivity being an issue, especially since he'll be coming off a win against Ortiz.
At least the writer admitted at the end that there are 5 reasons why he will win. That would be a more interesting read to me.
Where is the "5 reasons why Pacquiao will lose to Mayweather" ?
100% agree
floyd has lost his legs
the only way to beat pacquiao is to run and counter him
beat him on points
if floyd doesn't have legs he's going to get KTFO
If a clearly over the hill Mosley can run without punching for twelve rounds and still survive, I'm sure Floyd will be just fine. Just using logic.:boxing:
In the NFL, ali would get laughed off the field. Meanwhile they would be drooling over the prospect of wlad playing any position.
Hahah yah. A 6-3 215lbs fast, coordinated man would get laughed off the field. You are the smartest man I know.
If you compare these 2 specimens, especially out of the boxing ring, Ali is inferior in every way
-Ali is shorter
-Ali had less muscle mass
-Ali was weaker and could not lift as much weight as wlad
-Ali isn't half as smart as wlad, he had a sub 70 IQ. Wlad has a PHd and plays chess
-Ali married and dated women that were not even close to attractive as wlads girlfriends, therefore Ali was less sexually attractive
Wlad also beats ali in any popular sport.
Tennis? Wlad
Basketball? Wlad
Football? Wlad
Soccer? Wlad
Rugby? Wlad
Wrestling? Wlad
Baseball? Wlad
I won't even mention Vitali because that's just not fair
There's no doubt that Wlad is a bigger specimen than Ali. Does that mean he was better, faster, more coordinated? Nope. Flawed logic.
Dundee had to cheat and cut Ali's glove because he was on queer street. I don't hate Ali, but there are a lot of people who think he was the best athlete in boxing.
Compared to foreman and frazier? Yes. Compared to the K bros not even CLOSE.
1963 called, they want their conspiracy theory back.
