I remember someone, I forget who, saying if they saw Sonny Liston walking down the street they'd immediately go to the other side of town or something like that. Liston or Tyson takes the cake.

Charley Burley should have been in the list and IMHO should be higher om the P4P list of all time greats. When you are as good as he was and you get ducked by everyone in your timeframe including Sugar Ray Robinson. How can someone fight from welterweight to heavyweight and not ever get a title shot. To me he has a better resume than Henry Armstrong because atleast armstrong got a shot at the title and he wasnt ducked by Jake Lamotta, billy conn, marcel cerdan and many others. Take a look at his record and you will see the list of fighter around the same time frame who wouldnt fight him. What about Eddie Booker, Harry Wills, Jimmy Bivins and the rest of BMR ?, they're all the most feared boxers of the 40s - 50s. Robinson wasn't ducking Burley, he didn't even have any title when they was supposed to fight, and the money wasn't enough for Robinson so he declined the offer. Burley said he would of done the same thing. (< from what i've seen from different people on here saying he did ) Why would a Middleweight Burley want to move down to Welter to fight a contender anyway, doesn't make any sense. Armstrong couldn't of got a title shot at those boxers because he was in a different era and weightclass to them.. (Conn was a LHW)

Sonny Liston needs to be on that list. Probably the pre Douglas Tyson though, between him and the pre Ali Foreman.

I remember reading some story about Liston, there was some pro wrestler back in the day, and he had been running his mouth off about how he could take out any boxer because all they could do was punch. Well Liston was gambling in some casino, and got told the wrestler guy was there. He followed him out on the street, whooped his ass infront of a whole crowd of people, and made him take back what he had said :lol1: There's a few funny stories about Liston :D, one of my favourites is where Ali drove to Listons house in the build up to their 1st fight and planted a bear trap on his lawn (As part of the ugly bear jokes), Liston then came out and started firing on Ali from out of him using a one of his guns, Ali drove off as fast as possible only to find out later in the day that Liston was using blanks :chairshot , funny shit.

I second Foreman. Tyson was feared by bums as someone said, Holyfield, Douglas, etc didn't fear him in the slightest and they all destroyed him. Foreman on the other hand, other ATG's straight up feared him even Ali feared the shit out of him as he later recounted.
