Why was there no immediate rematch for Ortiz-Berto?

Didn't Berto go and get a tribal tattoo after this fight?

Berto was fighting from behind the entire fight & the 1 time he took the lead, 2 hooks put him right back behind again.

The fight was competitive and I think a rematch is a must. :boxing: Ortiz won comfortably. Berto maybe won 3 rounds but that's about it.

What would have been the point? Ortiz beat the hell out of Berto. That fight was not as close as people remember it being. berto won like 2-3 rounds and it wasnt as good as people remember it being either. and his ankles. has anyone else noticed that? thats why he's all hype

Believe it or not, I, like very few, picked Ortiz to win against Berto and I believe its a toss up fight and Berto could have one just as well. Berto could beat Ortiz in a rematch if he didnt take Bertos heart, both are B level boxers at best.

Seems like Berto wouldve wanted redemption His team was probably playing "Winner takes all" stakes in the contract and didn't even think of the possibility of him losing.
