The Judah that fought Mayweather or the Current Pacquiao
Who do you guys see troubling this current Mayweather more, the version of Judah that lost to Mayweather or the current version of Pacquiaio?
Although I dont subscribe to triangle theories, the Judah vs. Mayweather fight has me wondering the outcome of the upcoming fight.
I always felt Mayweather would edge Pacquiao (regardless of when they fought), but I just feel that the current Pacquiao is better than Judah '06, and that the current Mayweather - although smarter - is a step slower than the 06 version of Mayweather.
As much as I like Pacquiao, I still can't help but feel that Mayweather edges him.
Let me know what you guys think!
Zab's arms are longer than Manny's, making that a lot safer and easier for him to pull off aginast Mayweather without getting countered back, but I agree that a body attack is better for Manny than headhunting all the time against Mayweather. I've never seen Manny concentrate a body attack though.
Pacquiao's reach from shoulder to finger-tip is actually longer than zab's: Pacquiao 23" and Judah 22"
Mayweather still has a longer reach.
Pacquiao is 67" from finger tip to finger tip, less than Judah and Floyd.
Hoping that reach wont be too much of a disadvantage for Pacquiao.
I've heard him on a radio show, unfortunately he sounds pretty bad. Didn't even recognize it was him initially until I heard what he was talking about then I realized it was B-hop
I think what he's trying to say is that Gamboa is now about self preservation. Yourkis Gamboa fights for Yourkis Gamboa, at the end of the day Yourkis has to be happy...
...it no longer matters that fans really wanted to see this fight. SMH.
People will talk **** about juanma but the dude showed heart... The guy wasn't even thinking boxing anymore he was just there to f***ing fight. You could see that he wanted to just get back in there.
You know haters will hate though
I didnt start this thread to compare who's been more a victim of racism. I dont deny that filipinos have been racist towards any other race, I'm aware of that. My point is that not all remarks towards filipinos are a result of retaliation. Some of these remarks, such as those of carolla's stem from pacquiao's success.
Please provide examples of African Americans, in mass, displaying racial animosity towards the Filipino peoples?

You still taking what that comedian said seriously? Can't either take seriously what somebody else types cause everybody is a tough guy when you are on the Internet. Plus you have to consider also the incomming from the Pac fans that at time is just abusive even when you are not even talking to them.
It is a two way street so it goes both ways. The more success the more attention. Racism is Ignorance, I don't care about ignorant ppl and what they think.
I dont agree with the insults from filipinos either.
I've seen some ignorant comments to what I've brought up and I just ignore it. That's part of the reason I dont really post on this site. I actually have some regret starting this thread.
Tell ya in the philippines specially in far away provinces is full of racism we actually have cities and towns around here that don't allow chinese people to enter in them, live in them and make business in the area because they stereotype chinese as greedy jew bastards that will rip them off, yep it is like germany 1935. And they are led by brown pinoy organizations more like your local brown apartheid in the US with hatred towards chinese and other minorities because these minorities have become more richer and successfull than them
I did not know that. Which cities in particular? Damn, I know our own discussion has turned into something other than boxing. lol
philippines have always been racist even with their own kind like the chinese filipino and the negrito igorots and other minorities but these racisms are taken as a joke but when someone turns the joke on them they get butthurt and act as if they are oppressed black people of the apartheid ahahaha
I'm just curious. For a person who seems to have a distaste towards Filipinos, where did you get your ideas of this?
No you didn't. You failed to give any historical context, or provide even the slightest example of the racism you claim is aimed at Pac and the Filipino culture. When have African Americans, or Americans as a conglomerate whole, ever done anything racially provocative to the Filipino peoples? Never.
So you're automatically deemed racist if you don't like a certain person, or believe that person has taken the easy road to success? Madness. As I said earlier, some people seem to find racism where non exist. If you're going to embrace the victim role, at least have a legitimate reason for doing so.
I get what you're saying but you're not getting the point of my thread. I can respect a person's opinon of not believing Pacquiao. What I cant respect is the remarks towards a country because of someone's success in boxing.
i know because i live here, it is ok for brown pinoy to imitate and make fun of the chinese, indians and arabs minority and also indigenous minority like negritos and mangyans but when foreigners make fun of them like this one they get massive butthurt and cry a river  i guess they don't like karma
I can agree with the disregard for the negritos minorities, but I wouldnt say it's the same for the other foreigner minorities.
That's part of my point though, not that there has been a historically racist motive towards filipinos/asians. ( I think there's more of a subconscious bias against them)
but my point is that it's the success of an athlete that brings motivation to slander a race.

Anyhow, this thread isn't about that. It's about this phantom racism aimed at Filipinos.
Dude if I offended you by making you believe that there's a comparison between racism towards blacks(or anyone else for that matter) and Filipinos then I apologize.
But my original post was not geared towards a comparison. It's about an athlete's success leading to racist remarks. Not racist agendas or a conglomerate agenda towards filipinos.
I dont agree with any racist remarks, no matter who it's towards or who it's coming from.
It sucks how a sport which unites cultures (whether rich, poor, black, white, brown), actually separates them even more.
No, Adam's comments come from his frustration that the biggest fight in years isn't happening because pac won't take the test to prove the mayweather's are full of shit. He only points out pac's race because from a lot of media and press he is getting a free pass when anyone who was born in the US would not. It has nothing to do with his success other than his success putting him in position for the failed pac v may megafight.
But if you flip the scenario around and Pacquiao requested these tests and floyd refused to take them, I think Carolla's attack would still be towards Pacquiao (and unnecessary comments towards the Philippines) rather than Mayweather.
I had it a draw, but won't complain if Manny won by 1 point and it was because of the KD, it was extremely close, but guess Manny won, still would love to see these 2 go at it again :D
Thank you.. that's the type of opinion i can respect.
I'll respect someones scorecard for JMM (even though I saw Manny winning it) but to say JMM got robbed makes no sense...
Ideally that's what I would want to happen.
That is a scenario that can happen but another scenario is hatton hits manny with one shot early and that turns things around and changes how manny fights hatton. I want Pac-Man to win but I can see either scenario happening.

ESPN, Ring, Yahoo!, HBO, everyone had Marquez winning. Even the analysis in the Philippines had Marquez as victorious.
Bullshit excuse? you guys are using what espn, ring, etc says to back up your views of the fight. That'd be equivalent to me using what the judges had on their scores to justify my logic... but guess what? the guys I would use to back up my logic got paid to make that shit official
I think that a lot of people see Marquez winning this fight because Pacquiao was not fighting his fight (that does not mean Pacquiao lost).
Fight #1
I really find that as much as people say that the three ko's in the first round is the only reason that Pacquiao was in the fight, I see it as something that hurt him when it came to judging the rest of the fight. Because of the standard that Pacquiao set from the first round, anything short of a ko was Pacquiao losing exchanges and even rounds. I'm not saying that Pacquiao was clearly dominating the other rounds but when he was dominating the rounds it was not as dominant as the first round which set the tone.
Fight #2
There were rounds where Pacquiao was not attacking like he usually does and I really think this is why a lot of writers score it against Pacquiao. Because of the cut he was hesitant to attack, but when he did swing at Marquez he DID hit him. It was not in the dominant fashion that people are so accustomed to seeing and I really feel that hurt him on the cards. Because he was not as aggressive people were seeing him as losing the fight.
I really find that whatever shots that Pacquiao hit and stunned Marquez with was very over-looked as a result of everyone expecting a knock-out.
a.ssholes are everywhere.. pinoys, mexicans, americans, british, etc...

I went to the fight ( my first fight actually ) and it was amazing. I didnt see any of these guys. The Brits were roudy but I didnt really run into any obnoxious ones... a lot of them were actually really respectful so I felt to return the same sportsmanship.
I enjoyed the whole atmosphere, it was nice talking to different boxing fans and even Brits, telling me about the different fights they went to. Other Pacquiao fans (Pinoy and others) also mentioned how nice the Brits were, they may have been loud but I didnt really run to anyone who was disrespectful.
I did speak to one girl about the crowd and she did notice that the Brits were nicer than other crowds that she's experienced where it was a Pacquiao fight. She told me that at the De la Hoya fight people were talking shit to them after the de la hoya lost.
