"No because my lover fell pregnant. When you hold your son in your arms for the first time, no championship belts can come close to that. Before that, I wanted to be No. 1. Before I fell in love, I wanted to be No. 1. even more."
Funny answer. Werent his kids put up for adoption?
"That wasn't the Ricky Hatton we have all followed down the years, nothing like him. And there is only one person who can take the blame for that. Not Ricky, not Lee Beard, not even Manny Pacquiao. As far as I am concerned, it can only be Floyd Mayweather Snr."
"The Ricky Hatton that beat Kostya Tszyu would have beaten Manny Pacquiao, or stood a fantastic chance."
" His first defeat in boxing came at the hands of Floyd Mayweather, now his second has as well."
Thats just a big excuse. Hatton was not doing what he was told to do. Any trainer would tell him to move his head when he is coming in that way and he was not doing it.
Go southpaw on him, beat him with more speed. Who knows Mayweather seems pretty unbeatable. I mean we have basically seen people with orthodox stances try and fail. Why not have someone who is left handed and has enough power in his straight. If Corley can catch him and stun him with his straight someone could have enough power to knock him out. The impossible is possible!
I like his fights against Nunn, Barkley, DeWitt, Johnson, Thornton, McCallum (1st and 2nd), Griffin(even though he lost never liked the 2nd one though too slow), Holyfield, Jirov honestly you should check out all of his fights except the ones at the end of his career too slow and fat.
I grew to appreciate his style. I thought the fight was a great exhibition of skill (against a smaller man), but he puts my family to bed. It was a snore fest. I noticed most of his fights are that way when I watch them with my family. They end up falling asleep and Im the only one watching it. I think the only time one of my family members stayed up is when he fought Corley my girlfriend was the only one awake.
I think George Foreman was the most biased. He always backed the champion but he had know clue what he was talking about. It sounded as though he had money on some fights.
Winky would be walking him down, popping that jab, and straights all night. Martinez would have to keep his hand up in this fight to have a chance. Is that it for Winky? Is he retired? Wasnt he trying to fight Pavlik?
Bernard by knockout. If the fight was made 8 years ago. I wouldnt know who to choose. I wish Jones would of just stayed at heavyweight. He could of beaten Wladimir back then.
Augustus. Floyd destroyed him. Corrales, Corley cause I've never seen Floyd stunned and I like how he took control of the situation. I liked Floyd in his recent fight with JMM even though it was pretty much a tune up fight. When Floyd was at a lighter weight he was a lot more active and was exciting to watch.
It was a really good match and unexpected from Spinks to stand there and take Latimore shots. Usually Spinks fights are boring. Wouldnt want to see a rematch Latimore had his shot and blew it. Spink's girl had a big ass!!!
