If it's one thing that i know, it's Boxing. But I been picking TBC for years. However, I didn't get on the BUD train until Amir Khan. He's just on a whole different dimension.
I've been following 'Boots' for a while, and he's certainly stepping up his game! His resume 30-0, no different than any other working fighter, but now is the time for him and his team to take to the next level. His opposition has been becoming more significant, and imo he deserves to get the winner of Spence / Crawford.
Dan Rafael was one of the very few journalist who covered the purses of prizefighters. That's always been my favorite aspect of Boxing, the business part.
If a faded version Charles Martin, taking the fight on a very shot notice gave him a tough run for his money, we can`t really say Anderson is ready for top 10 guys.
I also think guys like Kabayel, Wallin would be too much for him right now.
Anderson should keep on fighting gatekeepers, Takam is ideal fight, old Takam gives him rounds.
No need to rush him against hungry undefeated guys like Kossobutskiy, he could get hurt badly.
Otto Wallin would be a good match up.
He just destroyed a world class fighter, unified champion, undefeated, in his prime, bigger guy. Wow just wow. What a fighter!
For sure. It's a toss up between Bud and Monster for the #1P4P in the World. Great way to start my Tuesday. A nice cup of coffee and a Title fight. :boxing:
This matchup wouldn't make sense. GTD is on a different road than the Monster, and they're on two opposite ends of the table. I don't even entertain the idea.
He's very smug when he dismisses the weaknesses in other men's resume's. They all praise him, call him a legend, underrated, honest etc.
What exactly are froch's acheivements (in relative terms, i mean on the world level).
Kessler lost in any big fight he had...but he beat Froch once.
Froch lost to Dirrell, Ward and Kessler. That's so fkin average to me. I can't believe a guy on that level gets talked about like a legend.
The Cobra has a respectable resume: 33 fights, 24 Knockouts. Only losses were to Andre Ward, and Mikkel Kessler (but beat Kessler in a rematch)
Carl Froch's achievements also include:
Competing in the prestigious Super Six Tournament, and came up 2nd.
Got a revenge win vs. Kessler 2013
Beat Arthur Abraham 2010
Beat George Groves twice back to back 2013 & 2014
Big comeback win vs. Jermaine Taylor 2009
Classic Battle vs. Glen Johnson 2011
Beat Yusaf Mack 2012
Beat Lucian Bute 2012
Beat Jean Pascual 2008
5 star win vs. Andre Dirrell 2009
Captured the WBC Title in 2008 vs. Pascual
Lost it to Kessler in 2010, then won it back the same year vs. Abraham
Defended the WBC Belt all the way up to 2011, and lost it to Andre Ward in the Super Six Tournament.
Won the IBF title in 2012 vs. Yusaf Mack
Revenge win and WBA title vs. Kessler in 2013
Defends both IBF and WBA Title vs. George Groves both by Knockout.
Yah, i think Carl Froch has done enough for Boxing. He may be smug, but he definitely put in his work.
I would fight everyone if the judges had my back and gave me gifts all along the way.
My Lord, even a draw against Mayweather, LOL.
I think Canelo need to leave 175 alone. He's already sealed his legacy, most likely HOF.
The Charlo bros would be the better matchup and greater payday.
IMO, signing a 2 fight deal with both twins would be the most lucrative and entertaining story.
Since, it's already established Canelo doesn't want to face DB, there are way better opponents worthy of significance.
Everyone wants Canelo to keep fighting, but in this game you want to get in and get out. Both wealthy and healthy.

El venado Lopez.
That actually would be a good match up... but the Deer has a belt at 126, so he still has business in that division. Unless, the Monster continues to climb weight classes and stack em up. Anyone can be beat, and there's always someone out there to fight. #noboxingnolife
Oh just like Nelo's loss to Bivol... coz Bivol is the bigger man... :D
No, Bivol was certainly a loss. Because he had no business fighting in that weight class. Canelo's loss to Floyd was a lesson.
But a lot of people don't know shit about Boxing.
Im having a heated discussion with a moron named TravisGotti
i told him in a 2 way moneyline, which is standard, that you get your bet back if the fight is a draw. He vehemently denied this and couldnt fathom.
He googled if it was true, the google search said if a draw is an option you dont get your money back. So he said i was wrong. What he is referring to is a 3 way moneyline, which has nothing to do with a 2 way moneyline. They are its own en******. He keeps bringing up draw, which could be an isolated bet, but that also has nothing to do with a 2 way moneyline. Its very frustating trying to explain this.
Is there a way to explain it to him like a 4th grader so he can understand? At this point, i need him to understand so i can let it go. Its utterly ridiculous he doesnt get this
No. If you don't bet the draw, you don't win the bet. And considered dead money. Because there's odd for the draw. That's I always bet the draw.
I gave it some serious thinking. And imo ranking goes SRR, JD, PBF, TBC, MP... top 5 p4p for the past century. *The Monster has just embarked on his journey into legendary status.
We're already in 2023, with 2024 right around the corner. And for the past decade, Boxing has been cementing itself in modern society once again.
Not everyone is a fan of the Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez-Jermell Charlo bombshell announcement. Tim Tszyu is one of seven combined mandatory challengers between the two undisputed champions and who is directly impacted the most by their confirmed fight September 30 in Las Vegas. The second-generation boxer expected to challenge for Charlo's fully unified junior middleweight crown by that very deadline and wasn't pleased with the update on his outstanding mandatory title shot.

I'd buy a ticket practically for the entire 154 lbs - 168 lbs weight class.
Charlo Bros. are the top dogs, Canelo is the Ca$h Cow, Tszyu is the underdog, Janibek is the sleeper and Benavidez is the most avoided.
Pretty good fight. Tzu vs. Charlo is inevitable. Brian Castano vs. Mendoza would also be a good match up, they both have some life left. And there's still plenty of action to go around in the Jr. Middleweight division. But Team Zoo is legit. Now he just has to make his way to the states to get that payper.:boxing:
Dmitry Bivol is keeping a close eye on the outcome of a potential super middleweight fight between Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo.

I would like to know when Crawford was the underdog of a fight? Even in this fight some betting sites have him as the favorite.
When he fought Gamboa, and Ricky Burns.
On July 29th, a fight some five years in the making will clear up the question of just who has been the best welterweight in the world in the post-Floyd Mayweather era. The fighter who will replace the winner of Errol Spence-Terence Crawford atop the welterweight division may have spoken violently on Saturday night.

Good article. I've been watching 'Boots' for quite some time and the progression is real. Before, he would be the first fight on the cards, but now, he's bumped himself up to the main liner. That was a great fight. And it definitely will help propel Ennis to the next level. However, I still don't think that's he fully prepared to see Spence or Bud. He can squeeze out one more fight in 2023, and then start planning for 2024.
Ennis vs. Villa was a great fight. I'm surprised Villa held up to the 10th. And he was still fighting to win all the way until the end. He took some shots, but also gave some good licks. Nothing but love and respect that night. Villa lives to fight another day, and can negotiate being the A-side. While Ennis improves and continues to elevate.
147 lbs division is stacked, plenty of action to go around.
Boxing is one of life's gems that is rich, raw and pure.

Now that is the fight to make happen. But it's got to be in VEGAS under the bright lights. MGM or even the Cosmo would be a great venue because of their popularity. But sometimes the best fights are the smaller ones. The bouts on the under. The only problem is that TR would be difficult to negotiate with only because so far they're the most corporate and organized promotion company in the game. B. Arum's been promoting fights since The Greatest. Although i don't subscribe to DAZN anymore. I'm still a fan of Steady Eddie. And i don't think they get along well enough to actually throw a heavy fight with so much on the line.
Three-division world champion Naoya “Monster” Inoue (24-0, 21 KOs) will embark on his quest to conquer a fourth weight class as he challenges WBC/WBO junior featherweight world champion Stephen Fulton (21-0, 8 KOs)this Tuesday, July 25 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan
In the 12-round co-feature, Cuban sensation Robeisy “El Tren” Ramirez (12-1, 7 KOs) will make the first defense of his WBO featherweight world title against Japanese contender Satoshi Shimizu (11-1, 10 KOs).
Fulton-Inoue, Ramirez-Shimizu and undercard fights will stream live and exclusively on ESPN+ in the U.S. starting at 4:30 a.m. ET/1:30 a.m. PT.
The Monster is razor sharp!
It sounds like a sour deal turned good. Ngannaou gets to train with his idol, and Atlas doesn't have to deal with all the drama. Negativity and Boxing don't mix.
Real solid card for a Friday night WAR Lopez , WAR El General, WAR Zayas !!!!!! :boxing::boxing::boxing:
Yes. This was a really good card. I'll be watching it all week. I was impressed by Zayas performance. He's really been stepping it up lately. I agree, he's now a contender at 154 lbs.
Venado's turned into something of an anomaly, cleaning out his division and continues to grow confidence. His style has greatly improved since I first started following him.
And EL General is being handled smartly for his TOP RANK network debut. :boxing:

Wow! They gave Spence Round 1??? Oh well. TBC ended it the way he wanted to end it. Now everyone gonna say they always knew BUD was going to win. But they never even heard of Ricky Burns,,,
