The bar to be a Hall of Famer in boxing is not as high a threshold as people might think, here is my list of surefire inductees at the moment.
1. Canelo (Best Mexican fighter ever)
2. Fury (Generational HW)
3. AJ (Generational HW)
4. Wilder (Generational HW)
5. Tank Davis (Multi division champion, face of US boxing, future PFP king)
6. Bud (Generational JW,WW
7. Spence (Generational WW)
8. GGG (Suspect Resume, never fought bigger more dangerous man, ducked ward, but a long run as champion)
9. Younger Charlo (Undisputed JW champion, undefeated, will win more titles at MW)
10. The Take over (Two division lineal champion at 24)
11. Inoue (Perhaps the best fighter in the world, future multi division champion)
12. Usyk (Modern day Holyfield, all time great)
13. Donaire (One of the greatest lower weight class fighters ever
14. Loma (Not enough fights, no A Class wins, but so talented you can't keep him out)
15. Roman Gonazlez
This list is evolving, if a fighter didn't make it, it means they have not shown me enough against the general criteria to be inducted.
This is strictly my opinion, certainly open to debating it!
I don't understand why so many boxing fans have trouble debating Wilder Objectively, Riddick Bowe held the title for a YEAR, defended it TWICE before losing it, and he is in.
Wilder's resume far outweighs his in terms of KO Percentage and title defenses, not to mention he is an iconic KO artist, a mainstream type of star. I would bet 1k he gets in on the FIRST ballot.
Dude, Wilder's one of these people (like Claressa Shields) that just triggers something in people.
They're incapable of thinking logically or rationally about him, especially AJ stans.
Only sure locks are Canelo, inoue and Teofimo everyone else had work to do.
Do you watch boxing? To say that Teofimo is a lock before Donaire implies you are pretty young, and need to read, watch youtube, etc lol.
GGG, Canelo, Roman, Fury, Loma, Usyk, & Crawford are are first ballot Hall of Famers.
Wilder might get in solely on the strength of being Fury's opponent.
Tank isn't close to Hall of Fame material and will need a good 3 more years of woks based on the level he fights at. Teo will be in the Hall of Fame if he can hold it together for good 3 more fights.
Danny Garcia may get inducted one day.

Usyk; Lomachenko, Alvarez, Crawford, Spence Junior.
Fury, Joshua and Wilder have been the premier Heavyweights of this era 'Should this achievement and level automatically qualify them into the hall of fame? Even though statistically a fighter and Champion like Fury has very few feats of achievement. Compare to other all-time great Heavyweight Champions'.
To be a Hall of fame fighter, really? Those fighters are just the premier Champions from those specific era's in boxing history etc.
Fury resume is weak, but he ended 2 different title streaks during his career.
He ended wlad 18 straight title defense streak.
He ended wilder 10 straight title defense streak.
Off that alone. He gets in. The usyk win for undisputed would just add to it.
This kind sounds personal, no matter what you say, Wilder is going intothe HOF of off 10 title defenses and his KO percentage, trilogy with Fury helps as well, Tank is a virtual lock at this rate, he just needs one or two more big title wins, and he is in, period.
Wilder has a weak resume and when he finally stepped up comp he went life/death w/a 50yo non HOF fighter, Twice, and arguably lost all 3 to Fury while getting horrendously stopped in the final 2.
Davis needs a big win PERIOD. His run at 130 was ok, but hes been a mandatory, 2ndary belt holder since he moved up to 135 & 140. Whens he gonna stepup competition?
The ibhof has a low threshold now so i guess anything is possible.

Those terms are irrelevant.
Stank literally has pedraza who his fans keep claiming is some fvkcing atg cause it's his only good one. A dehydrated mental midget in Ryan isn't impressive.
Spencer has done Jack shlt besides struggle with thurmans leftovers. If Spencer is a hof then so is thurman
Yeah it's def personal, not sure what the problem is, but a three belt welterweight champion, who has never lost, has done a bit more than jacksh/t, your trolling bro
I'd take out aj, wilder, Spencer and stank
See the fact that you used the term stank tells me your not being objective, and that this is personal, therefore, your opinion, or at least that statement, is tainted.
Good thread topic and a good list.
Thanks bro, and it's no surprise that you posted an eloquent and insightful response, I def forgot to put Estrada there, that was a mistake.
Teofimo lopez is now ahead of spence and crawford in HOF ranking.
I am not sure he is ahead, but he is in the mix for sure, to clarify, these are not rankings, no particular order
Haney is on the top of the list of the HOF fighter today.
No way, Haney is DEF not a HOF, that fight with Loma destroyed his credibility, now if he beats Tank, Shakur, Lopez, wins a title at 140, and 147, then we are talking HOF
Without question, this guy...

I would assume your trolling right? This guy is too old, and to robotic to create a HOF resume in the next three years, he is going to get smacked again in his rematch, so please, be serious when contributing to this thread lol
Wilder is a near shoe-in for induction, as an Olympic medalist who won a world title and defended it successfully 10 times, earned the highest KO percentage of any world title claimant in history, and fought at least a draw with every opponent he'd ever faced.
Certainly, he's so-far missed beating Joshua, Usyk & Ruiz, in addition to Povetkin, Pulev, Jennings, Martin, Parker, Haye, Whyte, Chisora, Miller, Kownacki, Hunter, Rivas, Joyce, Hrgovic, Sanchez and Zhang, but other than the first three men listed, none he's missed would move the needle on his accomplishments, and fights with some combination of those three are still on the table; if Joshua, Usyk & Ruiz would just sign the contract.
When posters say things like Wilder has "only beaten one top heavyweight", they've tipped their hand.
i think when posters say that its because they look at his resume
