Conversation just shows the sad state boxing is in. We all know if Floyd beats Pacquiao in a "real" fight that the pac fans will just say Floyd "no money" Mayweather still paid the refs or that he waited for Pacquiao to get old. Floyd will get no credit for beating 47 year old pac

I've been to a bunch of fights. Not sure if we are supposed to list fighters that I saw fight or just the ones I met.
It doesn't work that way, when a big fight with the biggest names bubbles away and becomes the only real fight of a glamor division, there is really no A side, just like Floyd Manny, the biggest A side in the game was Floyd and he excepted 50/50 which is unheard of for him, he couldn't get the fight without agreeing to 50/50, that's kinda where TC and Spence are, there is no 60/40 in that fight its an insult to the 40 guy, if they are dead serious to make the fight then 50/50 should seal it, that's when you see who really wants the fight.
And besides Spence might be finished we don't know until the Ugas fight.
Floyd got 60/40. He never would have accepted 50/50. The problem is Crawford and Spence can't generate the revenue to pay the purse each man wants.
At the time of Floyd fight, corrales hadn't fought Casamayor yet. The Marshall was waiting for him ringside to take it him to jail. I don't think his mind was in the fight.
The marshall was waiting ringside to take Floyd to jail after the he beat Cotto. Does this elevate Floyd's win?
Crawford is in a tough spot here, fighting Canelo is the best option. Its the most money he can make and defined his legacy with a win. Unifying 154 will look great on paper despite him beating nobody's. And fighting Boots is the best fight for the fans, but doesn't bring any money or legacy.
I love both fighters. It's a good debate on who had the better career out of Floyd and Manny. I can definitely see both sides of it. Two HoFs
I think Floyd's run at 147 and up was better than Manny though. Floyd beat Oscar, Canelo,
and Manny himself. All 3 of these guys were still at the top of the sport at this point in there careers
Manny had a incredible run as well. I feel like his best 3 wins were Cotto, Oscar, and Keith Thurman. Floyd and Manny were two of the best to ever do it and the fact that people still debate these two shows it.
The hype and intrigue surrounding this fight is still high. Both fighters are still in their prime and are both undefeated.
By the time we got Mayweather VS Pacquiao, both fighters had faced questionable opponents beforehand, and Pacquiao got knocked clean out in one bout.
The hype surrounding Spence VS Crawford is White Hot.
The hype surrounding Mayweather VS Pacquiao when signed, was interesting but Luke warm.....and their fight was a dud.
I'm expecting a classic war. Nothing bland like DLH VS Trinidad.
The hype was luke warm? It was the highest selling fight of all time man lol the hype for that fight was insane. The whole world watched it.
You can’t even enter Canada from the US if you have a drunk driving conviction.
This is false. I went to Canada with my Dad who has a DUI conviction. We did get held up in customs for awhile because of it. Conviction was in the 80's
All the greats need to pass the torch.
Pacquiao passed the torch to Ugas
Tyson passed the torch to McBride
Now it's time for Canelo to pass the torch to the Mexican monster.
Corrales is not as good as Duran. Not as good as hearnsm Hagler. Benitez. Etc...if you are saying that you are like a little person in a grocery store...reaching. Hatton is also nowhere near those guys come on and at 147? He wasn't a top guy at all.
Manny cotto Mosley hoya were all well past it come on. I'll give him good wins but nowhere near great. Floyd accumulated a lot of good solid wins in his career he just lacked the great wins a great fighter needs to to great. He did that in purpose though so not sure why he should get credit for avoiding the best. Maybe he wins Is the only argument you can make but when you rank fighters you jsvd to rank them based on what they did and I don't see the resume to be among the greats. That's not hating. I dont have ggg on the same level as srl or Ali for the same reason. Lot of good wins but only 1 great win over prime non drained canelo. Still more than Floyd but nowhere near srl or ali
You think GGG has a better resume than Floyd?
