Canelo Alavarez is only 28 but already has 54 fights to his name, Mayweather retired with 50 fights as a 40 year old.
If Mayweather had already accumulated 54 fights by 28, highly unlikely he'd have retired undefeated 12 years later.
#TaketheTest , when everybody in sports is juicing?
Floyd ducked both those fighters. And he was still ducking Cotto long after he left Top Rank.
Cotto ain't gonna retire me, I'ma retire from boxing lol
Floyd was going to take the same test Pac was.
And Floyd made cotto do the funky chicken dance at 154 in the 12th.
no, 50 fights is a lot in this era. he was a world class fighter in the 90's.
he usually fought 2x a year on ppv when he could. you can't fight more than that on ppv, or at least they never try.
While 50 wins is impressive, Wanheng Menayothin has 52 and has a better resume than Floyd as he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Bangkok Thonburi University.
So Wangheng has 52 wins and an undergraduate degree.
And he is only 33.
Floyd should be vilified for his laziness both academically and in the ring. LOL.
So he was accused of running and being the best defense noone could catch him VERY LAZY........LOOK AT HIS SUCCESSFUL CAREER IN THE RING UNDEFEATED, what does his academics have to do with BOXING he fought more champions than ANYONE and was 100% UNBEATEN.:cool2:
DAMN ESAU
Kellerman is a known *******.
Floyds resume is great as it stands.
Pac could have taken the test and fought floyd 5 years earlier but he needed 5+ days to recover from a needle.
Arum could have given Floyd Margarito and Cotto but he underbid him and floyd left.
- -TUE 50-0 took the test and required a 2 week post fight interim TUE to pass it by executive machinations.
Thanks for the comedy, gold that!!!
Floyd doesn't deserve criticism for 50 fights. But when he became the man to beat and became a name he went AWOL for long periods. Everyone calling him out the fights he could have had are endless. He had his pick.
But more often than not had fights nobody really wanted but just something Floyd wanted
Damn SRL
THE PROOF IS HIS PPV #'S PEOPLE WANTED SEE HIM FIGHT
4 OF TOP FIVE FIGHTS:la:

was pac "DUCKING" when he refused testing, was pac "DUCKING" when he didnt want the cotto fight at 154? too bad he didnt duck when JMM knocked his ass out.:nono:
If the contract is fair, and the fans want the fight, a boxer should make it happen.
Who determines if its fair.....OBVIOUSLY from EXPERIENCE THE "FANS" CANT DO THAT, BE FAIR, that is...and who's fans would you trust not your opposition not your own either :cool2:
Does Canelo deserve criticism for having 5 losses removed from his record before he came to America? Canelo has a draw against a cab driver who was 3-5 lmao. Don’t compare him to Floyd
Is that true?
I've heard people swear that his record has losses on it early in his career that disappeared from this record. Could be true but you would think someone would've come out and spoke about it.
It wouldn't be a surprise. He started pro at 15 didn't he? - it's very feasible that he could've lost some early fights on small shows.
lol I ain't coming back with nothing.
You guys acting like your memory has been wiped or something.
I don't believe for a second that if you were boxing fans back then you don't know exactly what I'm talking about.
It was like a 6 year saga, man. For real? -_-"
I'm not playing along with that silly stuff. If you are Mayweather fans, then stay Mayweather fans. You're entitled to support your favorite fighters. But anyone acting like Mayweather fought the best when he was supposed to is on the same level as the Fury/AJ fans claiming the ESPN deal wasn't a duck from Fury. Or that AJ never ducked Wilder.
There's being a fan, and then there's reality.
It's literal common knowledge that Mayweather is a ducker.
You know what? Forget articles. Here, this is all you get from me:
Common. Knowledge.

Floyd got 50 pro fights, that isnt that bad, there are a LOT of guys with less fights than that.
Also canelo started as a teenager doing the mexican no amateur thing. Not a real comparison unless you want to add in 80-100 amatuer fights for floyd.
Some other fighters:
Lennox Lewis - 44 fights (retired 37)
Ali - 61 fights
DLH - 45 fights
Hopkins - 67
Cotto - 47
Mosley -61 (should have retired like 5 fights sooner)
Kostya Tszu -34
50 fights is pretty average. He had a few year long retirements and a few years he only fought once. That should be the criticism, not 50 fights.
.I really don't want to post the interview. Please watch it for yourselves
IE.......BUSTED......(DONT TRY NO BS LIKE THIS WITHOUT PROOF) DEVIL MEANS DECEIVER, DAMN DEVILS (IF YOU MUTE THE TV, TURN THE TV AROUND FACING THE WALL YOU CAN SEE THE TRUTH (FLOYD HIT HIM WITH THOSE EARLY SNIPER SHOTS AND MANNY DIDNT WANT TO RUN UP AGAIN FOR FEAR HE MIGHT TAKE AN EARLY NAP AGAIN) PAC'S FEAR OF A REPEAT OF JMM4 OR HIS OTHER EXPERIENCES OF GETTING KO'D TO HAPPEN AGAIN. PAC WAS SCARED SURPASSING KHAN FOR GETTING KO'D (he's been ko'd before he knows what its like to be ko'd and didnt want that to happen again).....that false profit:headbang:

Same throwing blankets over what suits, like oh so and so made 160 so that other guy must .
GET A TUTOR OR AN EDUCATION...IF A GUY KNOWS HIS SHOULDER "HURTS" AND HE KNOWS, HIS TRAINER KNOWS....SOUNDS LIKE ITS HIS FAULT.:greddy2:
When someone's ducking a fight that the fans want, yeah, that's cowardly.
SOOOOO, a boxer is supposed to accept ANY contract his opposition presents........because the "FANS" WANT THEM TO FIGHT....SO THAT MEANS PAC WAS DUCKING:cool2:

Canelo fought a lot of bums. Welcome to the ignore list fùcktard.
Dude, watch the interview

Both sides were to blame. Arum felt Pac would lose, so he was never in a hurry himself to make that fight. Mayweather also knew how to get past random blood testing, whereas Pacquiao still had doubts. At the end of the day, though, Mayweather believed Pacquiao would beat him, so he, too, wasn't in a hurry to make the fight and used testing as an out.
At max, you could say both sides ducked each other, and it would be relatively true.
As to your other post, when asked about whether he'd fight Cotto, Mayweather said: "I won't let boxing retire me, I will retire from boxing."
It was the Mayweather-Hatton post-fight interview with Merchant. He repeated it twice when Merchant pressed him by saying that the great champions always took on the best. Watch it yourself, if you want to see it.
again...youre taking a general quote and applying it to what you want...it doesnt apply to cotto..its a general statement...ive seen guys take quotes about floyds health and how its important and apply it to the pac argument...guys to it all the time "see what hes really saying here is he doesnt want to fight pac cause he fears for his health"...when its a general statement......ive seen it and i remember it
have you seen the video many years ago of shane being asked about floyd and him talking about a toothache and a vacation without saying he wanted to fight floyd? i guess that means a more prime shane actually ducked floyd?!
lol I ain't coming back with nothing.

hahahahaha max kellerman! the guy thats literally on a show where the whole idea is for two people to disagree and take different sides in order to maintain an audience and produce debates and arguments? lol
that whole show is a joke....thats not evidence....dan rafael even blamed bob and he was very friendly with pac....many other boxing writers also blamed arum and i can link you the articles
Two years later is right after? Lol
I could go back and forth with articles and whatnot, but that whole Pacquiao saga is so long and annoying that it's honestly not worth the "research". It's practically common knowledge that Floyd is a ducker by this point.
It's not when I wanted him to; it's when the majority of fans wanted to see those fights next. Instead, he goes on live TV, says he's scared of Cotto retiring him, and runs off until way after Cotto got plastered by Margarito.
And Pacquiao, well, that storyline just speaks for itself.
I would debate this, but it's common knowledge. I'm confident most people are aware; they literally lived through it, if they were boxing fans.
I can respect it if you view this differently, but there's no way I'll ever see Floyd as having fought the best when he was supposed to. Most fans don't.
there is no common knowledge of floyd being the one that prolonged the fight with pac...none....its not common knowledge to anyone who follows the sport and followed the timeline
he didnt say he was scared of cotto retiring him......he never said that...he said something and you wanted to imply thats what he meant.....
what about when shane was asked about fighting floyd many years ago and shane said he was going on vacation and had a tooth that needed to get fixed? can i imply that shane ducked floyd then? im fairly sure i can produce that video if you wish to see...because i know ive seen it
people take floyd quotes that are general and then apply them to whomever they wanna say hes ducking at the time.....but he never said he was afraid of cotto retiring him...
I think he does deserve crituscm.for how little he fought when he became the man. But then not fighting the best or toughest fights but rather a belt chaser, picking weak opponents, the weaker then all the better
