no, 50 fights is a lot in this era. he was a world class fighter in the 90's. he usually fought 2x a year on ppv when he could. you can't fight more than that on ppv, or at least they never try.

While 50 wins is impressive, Wanheng Menayothin has 52 and has a better resume than Floyd as he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Bangkok Thonburi University. Floyd got 50 pro fights, that isnt that bad, there are a LOT of guys with less fights than that. Also canelo started as a teenager doing the mexican no amateur thing. Not a real comparison unless you want to add in 80-100 amatuer fights for floyd. Some other fighters: Lennox Lewis - 44 fights (retired 37) Ali - 61 fights DLH - 45 fights Hopkins - 67 Cotto - 47 Mosley -61 (should have retired like 5 fights sooner) Kostya Tszu -34 50 fights is pretty average. He had a few year long retirements and a few years he only fought once. That should be the criticism, not 50 fights.

Two years later is right after? Lol I could go back and forth with articles and whatnot, but that whole Pacquiao saga is so long and annoying that it's honestly not worth the "research". I think he does deserve crituscm.for how little he fought when he became the man. But then not fighting the best or toughest fights but rather a belt chaser, picking weak opponents, the weaker then all the better
