I was gonna say SSM but you said, except Shane. No fair
Too many rules!!
I thought he meant that Cotto's wins were all against prime fighters apart from Mosley and Judah saying they wern't in their primes. But if he does mean apart from Judah and Mosley then just ignore my first post >_>
Selective reading ? if your on about the front page article anyway...
We don't know what went on in that camp, all I know is that Roach said Mayweather turned up about 45 mins before the fight and in the 24/7 show Mayweather was shown turning up late. Although if you listen to the corner at the end of Round 1 Mayweather was saying Hatton is basically not doing what he taught him to do so going off the info I can see both sides have done somthing wrong, but I'm sure more info/bull will come out soon.
Sorry watching the undercard so don't really want to spend my time reading through that long post sorry, but a reply to your title would be: He's so special because he's the #2 P4P boxer on the planet and #1 is tied up in a fight right now.
yeah you gotta give a ton of respect to hatton for fighting the best in the first place. Sure he came up short, but it's mayweather & pacman after all, two ATG's.
Preety much what I would of posted.
I don't see how Mayweather resume would look worse because Pac man destroyed Hatton simply because Floyd did it first, people may even say Mayweather ruined Hatton.
Top fighter at 140
Won titles in 140 and 147
Lineal champ at 140
Was undefeated
One of the biggest followings in Boxing today
Brings alot of cash to the table
Good post, he got beat by the best, it's not like Mayweather and Pac are bums there ATG's. Ricky won't ever be P4P #1 but he's been good for boxing and deserves respect for that, and well Pac he's just an amazing fighter and such a humble guy.
I won't abandon Hatton followed him since 1999, win or lose he's still my favourite fighter and I will support him in whatever decision he decides to make next.
Why wouldn't Hatton who has been in there with Mayweather and lasted 10 rounds coming forward the whole time feel un-confident to fight a guy who took 9 rounds to beat a "bum" in David Diaz and a "washed up" DLH. A guy who is "smaller" and "unproven". Think about it. He must've been extremely confident and excited that he would take home the "pound for pound title".
Your guess is as good as mine, I am still waiting to hear what Hatton has to say, if you think I am trying to discredit Pac I am not he was amazing last night to think that he can move up in weights and seem stronger. All I am saying is Floyd did it first and people shouldn't be trying to discredit his win simply because Pac KO'd him faster. A win is a win and both won the fight quite easily.
Indeed nobody complained when Floyd had to move up in weight to fight the Big show but as soon as he makes a fighter come up in weight he gets hated on.
