Ricky is a really good fighter. A true warrior who never quits but is really limited, only has one way of fighting. He is a brawler not a boxer. He deserves a lot of respect but he will never be an ATG. I think his best fighting days are behind him, he reached as high as he could get and tested himself against the best. He should retire proud of what he has acomplished. He never gave up and went out like a man, that whats most important.
Hatton had a good career. He came up short in 2 outta 3 of his biggest ones, but nothin to be ashamed of. His stans and Mr boat buyers stans are just pissed and eatin crow right now.
Its not that he lost to the best but how he lost, he looked amateurish coming in with hands down face first straight in. Disgusting.
Easy to fight the best when youre getting 10+ million, sign me up.
lol, very true
Castillo was getting paid peanuts for that fight and wasnt motivated.I think he could have gotten up.
To be fair with that your probably right....i think Hatton has some nice names of good fighters on his resume, for people to say he fought nobody isnt fair at all imo.
Collazo has flaws as well as Urango, the things they are weak in Hatton just happens to have more in that department, for Collazo its stamina, for Urango its footspeed and footwork in general.
Every fighter has flaws i dont get what that has to do with being a tough opponent.
I get it, Urango fight he was sick, Collazo was too big for him to WWF on, Castillo was a wicked bodyshot on basically a walking corpse.
But the point is you can't be holding up his 50 fights as some evidence of being a great fighter when most of them are tomato cans. It's really telling when you compare his success as a protected fighter under Warren, to his struggles when he finally crossed the pond and started fighting some real competition.
Yeah, like i said in a nother thread, there is no shame in losing to the 2 best boxers in the world at the time when he fought them. Give the man the respect he deserves both as a boxer and as a man.
Um, yeah, Dave Parris let him wrestle/hold/hit/hug and basically UFC kostya to death.
Like I said, you can't hold Ricky's record up as some evidence of greatness when it's obvious the record was padded to hell.
Collazo he was under fire big time in that fight and perservered, Urango was no walk in the park either.

dude, c'mon, his record is totally padded. Warren protected his ass and fed him tin cans to KO for a long ass time. It's not shameful to lose to Mayweather and Pac, but it says a lot when you cross the pond, yammer on and on about being #1 P4P, then get systematically trounced in both fights.
Thats ridiculous lol....no one gave him prayer against Tsyzu and he bullied him like no ones buisness.

-X- dude, if you're gonna literally clone my thread from east side boxing word for word, at least give me some credit lol
At least you're thinking about this subject the same as me though.
Everyone agrees that his ONLY two losses are against the TOP of the elite fighters, yet they fail to realise that this is a bigger bearing on THEIR talents, not Rickys.
Ah well.
Hatton is a GREAT boxer. He's is just not the number 1 of his era like Mayweather and Pacquiao.
I have much respect for the hitman, going out on his sheild. Just though he would fight smarten and make it an more competitive fight.
he definitely under estimated manny and probably let floyd joy Sr. get in his head, hyping him up.
I can understand how some people are dissapointed but to say all of a sudden Hatton sucks or Hatton cant box is just stupid, i have been seeing alot of those threads and it isnt fair, Hatton is a good fighter.
Depends who the 50 are against really.
I love Ricky to bits but when he's fought a top P4P fighter he's come up short. Just the way it is. He's had a cracking career either way.
