The only thing I would disagree with is, If Crawford career ended right now, he would not get into the HOF. It's possible that after multiple attempts, that the boxing writer's would throw him a bone and he would make it in, but he's not a sure fire first ballot Hall of famer as we speak at this very moment, if he decided to retire right now. There no doubt in my mind that Hopkins will take less cut if Jones beat Joe. The thing is Hopkins is probably better fighter now than Jones is at this stage of his career, but there is no doubt that Hopkins will know this and take the less cut to prove he is the better fighter than Jones. But you can't judge the Jones of now with the then when he dominated hopkins pretty easy. Hopkins was a very smart fighter back then, but the difference is he was more aggressive and had little patience when fighting Jones the first time. This time he will be able to be more patience against the faded much slower Jones. The more conventional fighter will always have an advantage at an older age, Jones relied on his reflexes, hand speed (which came with alot of power back then ) as well as his foot speed and smarts ( still has just can't react to punches as fast). Overall for their entire career Jones is the better fighter. He's done more things then anyone of the middle weights of today can say. That includes Hopkins, Joe, or anyone you want to name. Theres no one that did what he did by fighting a Bhop, then later p4p 1 at the time Toney, damn near cleaned out the light heavyweight division. And then moving up to Heavweight going up 200 pounds of muscle and winning the a Heavy weight Championship. Then actually having to lose like 25-30 pounds of muscle which was a very dangerous for any fighter with a 5% body fat and actually making the weight. His body when he went back down to light heavy did not look right. It was very drained and deformed looking. To fight one of the best Light heavy again at the time Tarver and win a Light heavy weight title again, thats just an amazing feature to do. You won't find a middle weight fighter doing that again for another 50 years or so. Nobody can go all the way up to heavy win a title and drop 25-30 pounds of pure muscle and expect to win another title at 175. Just doesn't happen and Jones is one of the rare ones to ever achieved this. Jones Overall is a better fighter and has achieved more than any of the former middle weights to ever fight in the game. Judging Jones now even at this stage of his career, hes not that bad, but hes far from what he used to be. He can still hang with the top dogs even with his faded speed and reflexes, and it will show on NOV 7. Take nothing away from Bhop though, he himself is also a great fighter. Both accomplished great things and B hops durability is amazing to be fighting at still at the age of 43. But Jones has accomplished more in less time in his career. If he starts fighting guys higher in weight his strength, power etc. advantages that he needs, would be less obvious in comparison to his opponent due to them being bigger, even if it is a catchweight. Brandon Rios is one tough hombre...his style is crude but effective. There are plenty of holes to exploit but u have to be willing to absorb his onslaught. I think fans of this generation had the fight scored for Manny by a wide margin and that's fine. I have no problem with that. I think older more experienced fans saw the fight much closer. When Manny wasn't active, it was the small displays of skill from Bradley that younger fans missed. Manny will come to this fight more focused and motivated, but with the same fight plan. Manny only fight with 2 different styles. He either hits and move or come straight ahead. At this stage, unless Bradley comes in very careless, I don't think either style Manny execute will be effective enough to win. This is not a 28 year old Pacquiao. He can not fight a competitive full 3 minute round for 12 rounds. Those days are over and that is what will be the difference in this fight. Bradley is too well rounded and too skilled, with championship experience to lose to this version of Manny. This might be hard for his legion of fans to accept. But the Manny Pacquiao that the world fell in love with is now gone. His speed remains, but his power is now suspect and he no longer possesses the stamina or hunger. This fight will be very close early, probably with Manny winning the early rounds. By the 5th, Bradley will start taking control with his jab and body attack. Same as the 1st fight, Manny will not have enough fuel in the tank to open up a meaningful attack in the championship rounds. Are you insane?? Bradley has no advantage vs pacquiao...against marquez he had the style match up & a slight speed advantage. But Bradley Jang as polished as u make him seem. Manny is extremely effective even when an opp knows wuts coming. He was one dimensional for years & nobody could stop his attack. Not that way anymore. Bradley's style is to pretend to box off a jab then lunge in in spurts w/ wild WIDE exchanges. Then go back to retreating & jabbing. No way he can defend against pacquiao. Anyhow...Bradley lost that fight by ko imo. Anytime a fighter gets knocked down & goes back down on his own power fight over. Ref did horrible job.
