The risk was that he would not have made career best 9 million pounds for 6 rounds, if he didnt take the fight with Canelo...
Not bad. What a risk. He wasn't going to win and he knew it.
Khan is getting a lot of respect in boxing circles. As Jones stated, he deserves a reward for this move.
No he doesn't. He took a payday for a fight he knew he had no chance in, so he wouldn't have to fight Kell Brook and put his reputation on the line.
You are a coward like Golovkin.
http://i.imgur.com/18kkpcL.pngA guy with Canelo in his name calling someone a coward
I'm tired of this ****. Khan took a fight that made him MILLIONS more than another fight would have. He knew he would probably lose because he wanted to get paid. Does her deserve extra credit for that?
I would praise Khan more for fighting Spence or Thurman or Crawford than I wI'll for fighting Canelo.
Exactly.
Errol Spence would actually be a test. HE was just a highly paid crash dummy for Canelo.
Only diff there is that CM is supposed too be in that div. Not FW where he has to literally cut 30lbs to look like a member of return of the living dead so he can get a significant size & reach advantage over the div. Fighting Dos Anjos was who he was supposed to be fighting. Same w/ Diaz....He basically fought a LW & mandated it so that neither guy basically had to cut anything. He's an overrated bum just like Khan. Look at how active he's been...How many back to back to back camps...& look how sloppy & unmasterful he looked vs a guy who is not particularly athletic or slick...& who by the way was out on an island fu*kin women..Drinking & eating just 10 days prior to the fight. & the outcome...well you know the outcome. I shutter to think what happens to that fool when truly taken into deep waters.
If you respect Khan's stupidity for being used in a fight basically as a high profile showcase opponent....go right ahead. But please don't act like doing so makes one lick of sense for the rest of us out here. It was stupid. Khan is limited although improving ever so slightly. The kO likely ensured his career is all but finished. He will be stopped several more times. We are going to see the RJJ reaction to every heavy punch from a guy that's only 29 yrs old. & In the great Donald Trump delusional way...He'll continue to say stupid sh*t like he was winning before he got sparked...Anybody wouldv'e gotten knocked out from that shot....I'm still young....I took a risk & failed....blah blah blah. & guys llike you will continue to say to themselves..."yeah....that makes sense Amir...ur right....u ARE a great fighter" & Guys like me will read ur reaction & just look on & smh.
You angry alt?
I agree with him. It's hard to hate on Khan for testing himself like that. Although it was ill advised.
Same goes for McGregor when he signed up to face dos Anjos. I'm not gonna knock people for taking risks.

You dont have to hate on him but you can acknowledge that Khan is one of the biggest jokes in Boxing. We talking about a guy who got dropped by Julio Diaz. This the only guy in Boxing that can talk his way into a fight. He hasn't beat not ONE top welterweight yet.
I could aknowledge that he is one of boxing biggest's jokes. But (a) I don't think he is, and (b) It would be going slightly off the thread topic, which was McGregor's tweet.
I'm also not sure i've ever seen Khan talk his way into a fight. Mayweather and Pacquiao didn't fight him. While Canelo's team chose him because he was a popular name with a suspect chin.

There's nothing Conor hates more than fighters draining boiling themselves down to smaller weight classes

What has this world come to? We should not reward weakness.
Why would you praise someone for getting knocked his lights out or for being greedy and stupid enough to take a fight that had mismatch written all-over?
This is not a movie, it's real life.
Khan had no business being in there with Canelo no matter how well you think he was doing.
Khan should fight at 147 until he is ready for the next weight. His defence is not that great and he was getting caught by Canelo's left hook, so it was just a matter of time.
This should teach him conserve energy because and he spends too much of it in his movement.
Khans a brave idiot
He had no business fighting canelo when he hasn't even fought the best in his own division
Connor and Khan both got their ass handed to them so I don't expect Connor to say any different
