Second UK fighter in a row that doesn't have a punch. Team Mason definitely got spooked by Vasquez dropping him twice. Correct move to pump the brakes a bit.
The sense of satisfaction I got when MAB won is only comparable to the feeling I got when Maidana beat AB. I also remember thinking when 9/11 happened that there was no way that HBO would sponsor a comeback for someone of his religion at that time.
I have always said the MAB-Hamed fight, the Chino-AB fight and the Hopkins-Tito fight were the 3 most satisfying outcomes in my lifetime of watching boxing. Great minds….!

Good question and it was for a title right? thought all championship fights were 12rds.Probably because Salcido was only scheduled for an 8 rounder, and it was just for an interim belt
i agree, never been impressed with Fury really don't know what Manny Steward thinks he can do with him,Chisora by stoppage!Manny's gettin paid.... and that's all he's doing with Fury.
Jesus...this sounds like an April Fools article! Kessler only has a puncher's chance, and Froch is gonna wear him down and stop him in the middle rounds? Seriously? I give Froch props for making it to this level with such rudimentary skills and zero slickness, but he's up against it this time...Damn I wish the author of this article was my bookie - I'd be headed to a warm sunny beach Sunday morning. Kessler is gonna box this guys ears off, and show the Englishman what it's like to face a seasoned, well rounded boxer. Froch is a breath of fresh shit-talkin' air, but the party ends tonight.
Freddie knows...they're definately gonna need some more time to get ready for Katsidis, if they're really serious about this fight. Kahn looked smooth and really relaxed - against that version of Cambell. And yeah, Katsidis is a lightweight, but he's stout and super cut when he fights, not to mention, a little weight doesn't affect a puncher as much as it would a pure boxer. He's learning on the job still, but he looked fast and relentless against Escobedo who had me kind of believing he was finally catching his stride as a pro. Katsidis would apply serious pressure for the whole fight, making things really uncomfortable for Kahn.
The other day Juanma Lopez was talking about fighting the winner. God, let's hope that fight can be made so Rafa can show him how real fighters respond to a direct challenge...not like how Lopez has responded to Caballero.
This could be the most talked about fight that never happens if this trend continues.
And I still say it doesn't get made cuz all three major components in this situation, Floyd, Conor & Dana, are greedy f#cks who won't be able to agree on a split that works for all parties. At this point, I don't think Dana has anything to do with it. He is just a familiar public face that represents the UFC's interests, but has no decision making power. Out of everyone involved, I would think he would be the least obstructionist so he can grab a few bucks off the whole thing.
Lederman does the Top Rank broadcast with Col. Bob Sheridan...I only pay for Showtime in my home, and stream all HBO fights using my trusty European site - If I use the Top Rank stream, Lederman is usually the unofficial judge.
No Surprise! Promoters are Brilliant with those "Kicker Clauses" in contracts and it goes something like this: "I Will Get You This Big Fight, But You Will Have To Sign An Extension" sometimes they try to sneak it in the contract and most fighters and their team don't even catch it

Mikey Garcia broke this down when explaining that every time he would fight somehow his contract get extended. It was always "Well You Have 1 More Fight With Us On Your Contract"
I think Teofimo and his father screwed up by running around claiming they was going to make $10 Million in their next fightI was thinking the same thing. Two Words: Mikey Garcia
I don’t think it’s at all out of the question for these 2 to meet up at the end of 2020 if Ortiz can grab another high profile win. He did to Herrera what nobody else could, and he did it 3 rounds. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
My favorite division of all-time is quite possibly bantamweight. Here’s a list of fights and fighters I would highly recommend that are super bantamweight and below :-

Loma happened. Made him quit not only in the fight, but his whole career...Mighta taken his soul for real. If he doesn't get back on it more sooner than later, he might just run himself right out of the game. Guy is so talented, I don't see why he couldn't get back to the elite level.
