Rousey going on Ellen and saying she was suicidal is a little bit of both her being weak and her looking for sympathy. To me, I can't see you being that damn weak because that's weak as hell. Just because you loss a damn fight, you want to kill yourself," stated world-class trainer Jeff Mayweather, who shared his thoughts on former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey revealing that she had suicidal thoughts following her devastating loss to fellow former UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm.
"First of all, you weren't that great for real. You got spoonfed women that were scared to death of you. So for you to think that you were as good as you thought you were was asinine anyways," Mayweather explained during a recent conversation with FightHype.com. "I can't see myself killing myself for nothing. Ain't nothing going to make me kill my damn self. I could lose a damn 100 fights; I ain't going to kill myself. That's just crazy, man."
Having a moment of depression in such a situation isn't a big deal.
Going on national TV and crying and talking about it in what seems to me to be an obvious ploy for sympathy, that's what's weak.
If she had actually tried to commit suicide and wanted to help other people in that situation by telling how she got past it, that could be a powerful message ... But she didn't try to commit suicide. She just had a short period of time where she thought "this is horrible, I'd rather not go on" -- and that's it. It's not something she needed to go on national television and talk about as tears ran down her cheeks for no other discernible purpose than "feel sorry for me."
Champions react to defeat with determination to show that they're better than that, that it was a fluke or they took the opponent lightly or they want to show the world how great they really are. I don't see anything like that from her.
The are different levels though even amongst champions. Ronda was not only considered undisputed in her female weight class, but the media and fans made her believe that she was invincible and could beat male combat specialists, heck not even any male combat specialist, but TBE Floyd Mayweather himself.
There was even an article I read where Shaquille O'neal challenged her (jokingly) to a fight and Ronda, when asked about that said "Right now, I feel like I can beat anyone in the world"
Worst of all, the journalist writting the article actually seriously backed that up and gave reasons for why Ronda can beat freakin black Goliath Shaquille O'neal. Dawg it's crazy how much hype this chick got.
There is a reason that there is the saying "The bigger they are, the harder they fall."
The more you have to lose, the bigger the impact of the loss.
Just look at Manny Pacquiao for example. He lost to Floyd and first of all was incredibly lacking in grace at the post match interview, claiming that he thought he was robbed despite every expert seeing the fight to the contrary. Then he came up with all sorts of excuses after the fight and didn't mention God for like two months in any of his interviews after the fight, despite previously claiming he would have a bible study with Floyd after the fight.
This didn't happen because Pacquiao is a bad person or a hypocrite or even a sore loser for that matter, it happened because of how big Pacquiao was, and how big the fight itself was.
"The bigger they are, the harder they fall", and in this case the harder the impact of the loss.
Yawl are being too hard on Rousey, though having said that however, if you're prepared to fire shots at everybody, then be prepared for double the return fire should you lose.
Rousey was arrogant and disrespectful, and humiliated Floyd on so many occasions without being provoked that is, if Floyd saying he didn't know her was him telling the truth and not trolling her.

Yo Jeff, Floyd hiding IV's at his house, wearing clothes designed for women, going to private getaways with bi-sexual dudes like Bieber, beating your baby mama, punching security guards, and choking opponents at weighins are all signs of weakness too.
Get a grip mang, it ain't that serious.
Have to agree. In this case it's an extreme sign of weakness.
Suicidal thoughts over the loss of a loved one, a terminal illness diagnosis, permanent disablement, lifetime imprisonment... That would be different.
She wants to kill herself over her loss.
Your avatar suffered greater when Marquez laid his azz out. Did he want to kill himself. No
Next day he rewatched the fight and told all his buddies I'm good
I'm not suggesting that all men and all women have identical psychological makeups. I'm saying that there are male boxers that have contemplated suicide (Ricky Hatton for instance after both losses) and I'm sure there are female boxers that have faced difficult losses and not thought of killing themselves.
Timmeh had unwarranted hate towards him after the fight.
Some manny fans called and gave him death threats.
Different situation from Ronda, who simply fell into oblivion and is now ignored by her cheaply built fanbase.
No, Ronda got a lot more hate and is much more famaous than Tim. There were crazies all over twitter and facebook saying some horrible things about her.
Tim just got some angry letters from a couple filipinos. It was pretty tame in comparison
Wrong! It doesn't show weakness. It only shows that she is human. She didn't go through with it which means she has strength of character. Every human being experiences the full gamut of human emotion.
I mean we laugh, we love, we hurt and we cry. We have our share of good days as well as our bad days but we don't just give up and die because we experience loss, failure and disappointment.
Life is full of resiliency. We pick ourselves up and weather whatever storm that ever passes our way because we are confident that there is always sunshine after rain.
One will never know that they are human unless they hurt.

Timothy Bradley:
"The 30-year-old American said: 'Did I consider suicide? Hell, yeah. I would be sitting in bed with my wife thinking about what people were saying and writing about me and I was thinking "not only I don't want to box anymore - I don't even want to live anymore. This sucks. Its not worth it".'

Weakling. Every guy here would beat his ass.
Hell half of you nerds have probably considered suicide after a fellow forum member called you out in the "thunderdome".
Didnt Bradley say he had suicidal thoughts after the Pacquaio fight? And technically he won that... Well he lost but the judges gave it to him
I'm sure there's a list of thousands of male boxers who have at some point in their career fallen into depression
But this is an internet forum so crank up the fake "I'm hard as **** in real life I've never been sad" gimmicks while surrounded by pokemon cards
I don't see the problem here.
Losing a fight, especially in MMA, is common. The idea that she thought about killing herself because she lost her '0' is as much sad as it is weak....going on TV and crying about it seemed like nothing but a sympathy plea IMO.
The problem is, when you build your whole persona and image the way she did and then buy your own hype, the moment you get humbled is going to break you. Her comments and actions (especially towards Holm before their fight) made it very pleasing to watch her get utterly dismantled....you're not going to act like that and then get sympathy.
Her suicide threat shows that women aren't made for it the way men are.
It's like how megyn kelly's b1tch azz needed to take a break from work after Trump gave her a verbal beating.
As if only women thought of killing themselves... lol

Nice speech. I still think she is a mentally weak cry baby. She was very arrogant when she was on top and thought she was invincible. She gets a reality check and finds out she can be beat so she thinks about suicide? That is mentally very weak. I have never heard of a boxer who was on top and lost a fight talk about suicide. Boxers aren't winny babies like Ronda. I am glad she lost and I doubt she has the mental toughness to be champion again.
Haha Glad you liked it.
Truth be told, I wanted to see Ronda lose. Not because I had anything against her personally, I just like to see big upsets when I'm not particularly a fan. I was glad when Holly pulled off the upset. Whether Ronda was arrogant is irrelevant to her supposed mental weakness. That's just you delighting in her loss.
I don't think it takes a mental health professional to imagine Ronda was depressed after this, her first loss. I'm certain she felt she lost a lot more than a mere fight. In her mind, her world was altered in the blink of an eye. No more adulation. Millions out the window. Her very future was in question. That's all incredibly difficult to absorb. Depression -- true depression -- is a mental illness. It's not just common, it's symptomatic for persons in that frame of mind to think about ending their lives. Having those thoughts doesn't make a person weak. Hell, actually committing the act doesn't necessarily make a person weak.
I used to feel like Roy Jones was threatening people with suicide if they didn't let him keep fighting. He used to mention it quite a bit.
Ricky Hatton another after the loss to Mayweather.
Neither guy really recovered once they lost, so I suppose it is a sign of weakness. So this could mean Rousey will never be at the top again.
Lol sack up. She can not beat the average male. Well maybe considering how weak the avg American male is these days, just a beta Fuk that will lay down but she's not some superwoman
Her style of fighting it all depends on the situation. If she gets close to most 200 pound or less male she can take them down and hurt them.
It does show weakness. She took the loss worse than I have ever seen for a person on that level. I don't think she was spoon fed women. As Tate showed, she is a good fighter in her own right. Cat Zingano is good also. She just ran at Rousey like a fool. She basically handed her the fight, and she knew it too.

I agree a guy with fight training would make her look bad but the average dude has NO clue how to fight, she would beat 10 random internet guys at once before they even knew what was happening

Even non-fighter athletes look hilarious when they try to fight in the spur of the moment. Just imagine Rousey vs your typical forum guy into anime and cheetos.

He is right. There are millions of people enjoying their life who can't fight a lick and couldn't whip a duck. She should be thankful for the success she has had. Anyone who considers suicide because of losing a fight is mentally weak with insane priorities.
That's really all there is to it. Of course the people who kiss her ass and fantasize about her won't agree.
