Wilder knew he could KO Fury with one punch, no matter how heavy Fury was. he just wasn't good enough to land it on the night.
Fury definitely seems more destructive at this weight. He was big for Tom Schwarz too and seemed to be punching incredibly hard that night.
Got to agree. 2-0 and last night was much more emphatic. A third won't do anything for Fury's legacy. if he beats him again, they'll say Wilder was finished.
His aura of invincibility has diminished but he'll still KO pretty much everyone in the division. And who knows - AJ had a shocker against Ruiz but was much better in the rematch.
He was fighting a bum.
Fury is an excellent fighter though.
don't be one of those people that writes off good fighters once they've had a loss. He wasn't regarded as number 1 or 2 for nothing. Fury is just better - don't go making him out to be a bum now.
still lacking behind the US, on the large scale of talent but we do seem to produce a high level of good fighters for such a small population - in comparison.
He definitely does seem more destructive. It was a similar physique to the Tom Schwartz fight.
Different opponents need different game plans and this one was executed perfectly - and that included fighting weight.
If he can still move and be as slick - that's still his main asset, this extra punching power and resistance should be a great addition.
Brilliant performance from the Gypsy King.
I think Wilder's equilibrium went during the fight - similar to what Ruiz did to AJ. He couldn't find his balance and looked all over the place. That first knock down really had an impact.
his team can't exactly say anything else can they.
the only way he should go straight back into the rematch is if he wasn't 100% going in.
rumours of his leg being injured - his balance was clearly off and he was sluggish, probably caused by Fury, but perhaps not.
Joshua had a health issue before Ruiz, got destroyed, came back 100% and with the eight tactics, beat him. That said, i don't think Wilder has the skills to adapt enough.
