It's a cultural and class issue. Klitschko fans tend to be educated, white men between 25 and 40. Teenagers and middle class people seek a different image to identify with, which is more like the kind of thing you're suggesting.
In my mind to be a Wlad fan brings a certain distinction with it.

lacy almost got stopped 3 different times against taylor who gasses himself, and that was SMW... this is LHW... when roy fights an opponent who isnt a volume puncher, at this stage and is able to take his time and box, roy does well.. with lacy usually gassing in the latter half of his fights, i think after round 6, things get easier for roy

To me you have to fight close into Wlad inside his real power. Now taht is not an easy task, plus Wlad is not just going to let someone waltz in they are going to have to deal with his jab and not allow themself to get tied up.
Wlad is basically unbeatable if he can fight from the outside and just pick his spots, but if he gets forced out of that comfort zone (once again easier said then done) then he can get beaten.

I agree. Wladimir's my favorite fighter, but I have a lot of respect for Eddie Chambers.
I see this as an interesting matchup in which Wlad will need to use all his boxing skills to win. I do think it will end in a stoppage for Wlad, but it will not be an easy fight because Eddie has excellent defensive skills and fast hands.
It will be much more competitive than Wlad's past two fights with Rahman and Chagaev.

I went to the Shane Cameron-Robert Davis fight in Gisborne and it was a ****ing disgrace.
The event which was one of the biggest boxing events in N.Z for years was held in a cattle shed, and they didnt even hide the fact that it was a cattle shed, and the chairs were like just kitchen chairs, not the same type or anything.
The fight itself was the biggest load of shit i've ever seen, Davis was counterpunching cameron all night long and the fight was stopped randomly at the end of the 11th, worst stoppage i have ever seen in my life.

Wladimir was never KOed in the amateurs, although he lost a couple of fights at age 18-19 to older fighters.
Chagaev, who was schooled and stopped by Wladimir this year, defeated Savon when he was exactly the same age as Tua was when Savon KOed him.
Yet you give no credit to Chagaev or Wladimir, and make excuses for the guy who was KOed. :wtf:
Vasyl Lomachenko, who won the award for the most outstanding boxer in the 2008 Olympics, was close to the same age as Tua was when Savon KOed him.

Made a career out of beating stiffs? See, for me, I have more respect for professional fighters than most...I know that just because a guy looks bad against Roy Jones in his prime it doesnt mean he is a BAD fighter...I know also that just because a guy isnt famous or undefeated it doesnt mean he is a bad fighter, either...in most cases I tend to look at guys Roy beat easily and see how they fared against other top class fighters...you would see that in many cases they fared extremely well....

why would haye be favored over valuev? i know he aint a real champ but the guy should still beat haye.haye is a small guy who has only beat barret at heavy.i see valuev wining a close desision same as with evander and ruiz twice.haye will win some early rounds from being agressive.but he will tire by the 6th, and the big slow jabs and wide shots will land for valuev all night. imo haye cant knock him out. :boxing:
