Even though Pacquiao Won today... After watching this fight.. THERE IS NO WAY, Pacquiao can beat Mayweather... Rios is not known for good defense.. so if Pacquiao could barely do damage to Rios in this fight who is 100 times slower than Mayweather, and Mayweather has a 100 times better defense than Rios.. I don't see how anyone can think Pacquiao could beat Mayweather.. Pacquiao Had a AWESOME AND BEAUTIFUL ride, but I think he is not the same fighter he was when he had his run from Oscar De Lohaya - Margarito.

Mayweather probably has the MGM reserved for May 2. But he DOES NOT own the date (MAY 2). Anybody can fight on that day. It just depends where. And more importantly, if the promotional companies and/or sponsors are 100% sure they can compete and make profit against the competition.
Being that it's a MEXICAN HOLIDAY. I think Canelo can OUT SELL and definitely draw BIGGER crowd than Mayweather. Also, think Canelo makes more profit on that day than Mayweather. Doesn't matter where Canelo fights. MSG, Dallas Cowboy Stadium, Mandalay Bay Resort Casino, or UNLV (Thomas & Mac Center). There are way more Hispanic/latin fans in boxing than there are of any other culture. And if you say that's not true... Then why does Mayweather fight on Mexican holidays?

The TRUTH is Lara made Canelo look bad, by making canelo miss a lot. But If Canelo doesn't chase Lara down and throw punches then he wouldn't be missing any shots and there wouldn't be a fight at all. Moving side to side and making your opponent miss is ok. But when that's all you're doing... well you can say... If the other guy doesn't throw then there wouldn't be any punches to be missing with.. in other words if Canelo didn't bring the fight and throw punches there would just be two guys running around a ring looking at each other. So for that you have to give it to Canelo. If this was a CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT where Lara was the champion, then yes Canelo has to BRING IT and TAKE IT AWAY from the champion. But it was just a REGULAR BOUT. Two guys fighting in a REGULAR BOUT. So Canelo didn't have to bring it to Lara. And Lara definitely didn't bring it to Canelo.... On the other hand if Lara was Mayweather in this fight, everyone knows Mayweather would have won. With that said.. I still say Canelo won for being the aggressor and the one looking for the fight. It wasn't a championship fight.. he didn't have to look for lara at all.
All I have to say is me being Hispanic I look at boxing totally different. And I think ALOT of Hispanics/latinos do also then the rest of the world. To me the guy coming forward pressing the fight, looking for the fight is the one winning the rounds. I mean if the other guy is not doing anything to stop you from coming forward, then he's really not scaring you or stopping you from trying to attack. then how are you losing the fight? The ONLY REASON I watch the shows is for the footage of the fighters working out. If they just showed mostly fighters preparing, running, jumprope, hitting the mitts, ANY kind of exercising etc. etc. It would be a good show.
Like always, Mayweather ruined it all. By adding his same b.s., fake drama. And now it seems like the producers of the show feel like there has to be drama in a sports show. So now we're stuck with 1 episode.
I think that's pretty sad. The 24/7 shows actually used to hype me up to order the fight. Where as usually I probably wouldn't. And like I said, All I would watch the show for was for the workout parts of each fighter.

dude, thats not special. Celebs do that all the time. Its either that or they come on the interview themselves and say they wont talk about such and such or Im only here to talk boxing. He's in a no win situation with the domestic violence stuff and plus it involves his kids an family so he's not going to want to talk about that, especially to a bunch of reporters where half of them dont like him anyways.
However, dont paint him like he says that about everything. As far as I know, that is the only thing. He got asked a ton of tough questions in his own gym the other day. As much as I hate to say it... I think Cotto vs. Mayweather was a fluke. Reason being. To me, when I saw the fight It looked like Mayweather was under the weather so to speak.. and after the fight I remember his father saying that Mayweather Jr. was coming off a bad cold that previous week coming up to the fight. So with that said, I doubt Cotto vs. Mayweather II would be a good fight.. I just think Mayweather really wasn't feeling 100% due to being sick the previous week, but you can't cancel a fight that huge.. and 2nd I think Cotto is well past his prime.. He's closer to being a "Mosley" than he is being a "Pacquiao".
