He's not on the slide, he has always been overrated. He has nowhere to slide from.
He's fought one good fighter and fighter and got tko'd.
He's pathetic and a disgrace to mankind.
Pathetic and disgrace to mankind. Solid post ******. It's retards like you (with 7500 posts no less) that keeps this forum's IQ at around the level of a dog.
Oh but as to the original topic, I think Vitali is sliding a little bit too. But it's still more than enough for now because of his physical advantages, the fact that he (and his brother) always come to fight in excellent shape, and obviously also because the heavyweight division is relatively barren. So all this is probably irrelevant.
P1ss of maggot, im pointing out that the main reason Klitchko wins is his size advantage not any other attribute like skill. And Haye is knocking his ass out regardless u fukking Ring Worm now keep ur lip in check and fukk off
lol k. Nice logical response. Really. Just regurgitate the same misguided stupidity. I bow to your logic.
Wlad imho is a decent fighter, great power, good jab and not bad speed but to me he cant be a p4p guy because im of the opinion he only wins most of his fights due to his size advantages, if say David Haye was 6'7 with a frame like Wlad there would be no debate who would win, Haye would be an over whelming favourite
Your stupidity boggles the mind. Nice argument there. If Haye were bigger he'd win!!! How about this...If Pacquaio suddenly grew a foot and packed on 100 lbs while retaining how he fights....he'd DESTROY Wlad. No contest!!!!
No but seriously. Just stfu and think before you post.
in a p4p fight against pac they would be brutalized.
You might be even more retarded than the other guy with his 'size' argument. What is this hypothetical P4P match between Klitschko and Pac you're talking about where Klitschko would be brutalized by a 140 lb man???? Are you seriously this stupid? You realize P4P stuff really boils down to simply a subjective list? Klitschko's brutalized by Pac in some crazy hypothetical world where they're not really who they are but instead where only 'skills' matter? In that case...Ivan Calderon a years ago was P4P the best in the history!!!!!!! Coz no1 would've been able to compete with his quickness and skills if they were all 100 lbs right? Amirite?
has nothing to do with Ward being BORING, it is some people who hate him and want to see him lose BADLY but since they don't THINK Abraham can beat him, they are just going to be negative about this fight and they are already calling it boring because they themselves think Ward will win
Ward just have to keep winning, the haters are going to hate on him no matter what he does though, they are always going to find something to complain about
Ward Don't Have To Change ANYTHING HE DOES and he SHOULDN'T! You are undefeated and your Top 10 P4P....let these HALF A$$ boxing fans continue to complain while you continue to win!
What level of stupid are you? Boxing is still an entertainment business. Only a few in history have gotten away with just doing w/e the fk he wants and being boring with it with Hopkins coming to mind. But at least he took up historic challenges and resoundingly knocked off his competition (Prime Hopkins vs Tito was a great, great fight). Who the f is gonna care if someone's undefeated yet no one wants to watch him? Andre Ward mauls and clinches like no other and doesn't really have KO power even though he's physically strong leading up to extremely boring fights. I remember inviting a very casual boxing fan over for Ward-Green expecting some sort of fireworks at least in a couple rounds. Instead what we got was a drained, outclassed, not even punching Green dead on his feet getting dragged the full distance by a clinching (???) useless Ward for one of the more boring fights I've ever seen. I felt terrible because I probably turned my friend off from non mainstream (tons of 'Pac' fans out there...not quite boxing fans) boxing for good. He has not really been in one exciting fight yet. Even the Kessler fight, while a good event for him, was an ugly fight.
I don't really expect Abraham to do much against Ward. Writing was on the wall for Abraham a bit ago. Just hasn't been able to impose his singular style on the bigger, smarter competition at 168. And unless Ward suddenly had a change of mind about actually trying to entertain and/or try to knock out his opponents instead of just swarming and mauling, it should be a fairly drawn out sporadic boring beating.
I think betting Glen Johnson at -155 which is what I got him at is a pretty good bet. You're just paying insurance on Johnson getting old overnight/getting weight drained. If it's the regular performances of these two, I don't see how Johnson doesn't just outwork Green to a fairly entertaining yet repetitive decision win.
Why do Cotto's answers to every question ever always seems like manufactured, politically correct, jargon? Have some personality or at least speak a little bit of your mind for once ffs
Actually pac looks solid. Marg will have a tough night.
I think he looks a bit less ripped than in some of his previous recent fights like vs Cotto. Not significant but noticeable. Likely that it won't matter though.
Cintron was clearly winning the fight and would've KO'd Williams for sure if the fight had continued.
Williams is just another ridiculously overrated American BUM.
The Klitschko's are two of my favorite fighters. In fact I don't even buy the common theory that Wlad is boring to watch. I watch every one of his fights. But you sir...with your ignorant, brainless pro-euro/random u.s hate statements...are a whackjob and only help to further flame the fans from Klitschko haters. Congrats.
Cintron won all 4 of those rounds in my opinion, round 3 was closer however. Just before the end, Cintron landed a right hand which briefly staggered Williams.
Don't let the fact that Cintron has mental problems detract from what was the reality of the fight while it lasted.
Not very difficult to score it as such, but I don't really see where you're going with it. Zab Judah clearly won the early rounds against Mayweather, but it was obvious early-mid that it wasn't going to last. Could use quite a few other examples. Cintron has a history of folding like a lawn chair.
But yea I favor Martinez to beat PW (again really. thought he edged it out the first time). Martinez is a different beast from Cintron though.
there're plenty of neurological disorders..........so fuking many types, some are serious. some are not.
and a neurological "problem" as stated is just fukkin laughable.
not only Dirrell disrespects people with serious neurological disorders, but also the fans of boxing and Abraham...........
Im not buying this sh1t. its too close to the WARD (his best friend) fight right now.
its all systematic propganda to discredit Abrahams foul. hes was allright after he left hospital joking around with his brother........
hes fukin scared to fight cuz he got KNOCKED OUT. thats hes fukin problem
and its boxing, worse things happened.....and Dirrell fans are crying now thats its serious.
(awaiting Nr1 Dirrell fan of BSs Hitman the sh1tman)
You are such a ****ing retard. As if you're a doctor now? How would you know which neurological disorders are 'worthy' or not? I have no idea as to the validity of the injury and neither should you. Where do you come off? I had a concussion in league football during college (obviously from not wearing helmets and such) that passed through MRI/CAT scans and ****. But I still had nerve pain that re-visited me right above my right eye from the point of impact a year later that continued on...and to this day I can still feel it to the point that I sometimes do worry about it when I spar. And that **** was just league football...much less having a world champion professional boxer take a free shot at you defenseless. Not saying every punch deserves such attention but who the **** are you to just flat out determine it's all bull**** based on stuff that only specialized doctors should be talking about? You are everything that is wrong with fight fans. Go **** yourself
I'd like to believe that.
But Dougie is a little bias when it comes to Margarito.
So I wait and see.
It's Steve Kim who was always biased towards Margarito. Not Doug Fischer.
It's not very hard to believe. The time off actually could have helped Margarito and this is a huge fight for him. Not that it's going to be enough against Pacquaio.
I agree with him. Love Pacquiao but the common fan underestimating Margarito based on his last performance (which I think should really be nearly discounted) and getting caught up in Pacfever leads to a line that is kinda baffling considering that it really wasn't that long ago when Roach himself said he didn't want to put Pac in there with Margarito because of the size difference. Styles make fights and though Pac is a better fighter than Mosley, he doesn't have the strength and one punch brawling power that Mosley has. At least not at welterweight.
I think Pac will just blaze in and out strafing Margarito with his ridiculous combos and darting out of danger for most of the fight...winning a fairly comfortable decision or possibly wearing him down from volume of punches into a TKO win. But I wouldn't be shocked at all if Margarito makes him as uncomfortable at several points in the fight as he's been in quite awhile with his pressure and power.
I don't see that at all.. Since when has Pacquiao not given us exactly what we wanted to see? He would never just take a win the easy way.. he's gonna challenge margarito, at one point he's gonna stop his movement and dare margarito to show him all he's got.
Just watch the 11th round vs clottey- Pacquiao won every single round but he still was going for the knockout, and giving the other fighter a chance when all he had to do was cruise and run. Same thing with Cotto, Same thing with Barrera, Same thing with De la Hoya
You may have a point. It's what he SHOULD do. I'll be really impressed if Pac stands there and let's Marg get some free shots in. But I guess we'll see. De La Hoya was so stiff that night he was basically hitting air. Don't think he really let De La Hoya cleanly hit on purpose anyways. Pac just beat the snot out of an immobile Oscar. Pac only let Cotto take a few free body shots at him when he had the fight beaten to all hell out of him. Barrera...well knowing what we know about Pac now...don't think he had too much of a chance to truly hurt Pac anyways. And Clottey...well F Clottey. Never seen a guy try so hard to preserve himself in such a high profile fight. Against a naturally much smaller man too. Margarito will be the strongest puncher he's faced (barring all the hand cast jokes).
Of course all of it is irrelevant if Margarito just proves himself way too slow to catch Pac at any point.
Honestly I'm a huge Vic fan but this is about the worse matchup he could take right now...outside Yhonny Perez.
This is Abner's fight to lose right now. If he stays on this toes and sticks and moves he will win via wide UD.
However a problem I have noticed is that Abner gets outta his gameplan and fights to the reaction of the crowd. If the Perez fight he was actually starting to pull away from Yhonny but got outta his element (due to the crowd) and tried to fight toe to toe with Perez.
This fight is in Mexico, so If I was a fan of his and would be worried about him pulling a Victor Ortiz and letting the crowd encourage him into a brawl with Vic. If that happens Vic could possible stop him as that is exactly the type of fight Darchinyan wants.
With that said, I think it boils down to the fact that Abner has been in with bigger men who can punch and hasn't show any signs of a weak chin. Darchinyan is the type that likes to bully his opponents and impose his will and when neither happens he falls apart. I see Mares sticking and moving, forcing Vic to get more reckless and Mares picking him apart with counter shots. I dont see a stoppage but I do see Mares winning 9 rounds to 3.
Solid post.
I've only seen one and a half of Mares fights before his fight vs Perez (in a fight which I thought he won a narrow but fairly clear decision), but the Mares that showed up to that fight I think would have no problems winning a wiiide decision against a moving up Darchinyan. And I can only assume he's getting better.
I agree up to a point too. Which is why I bet a small amount at +425 on Margarito for value. But I also bet like +250 or something if I remember right on Cotto against Pac and that ended up being not even close to a 250. Maybe Pac will just wipe out Margarito too
Cheating and everything aside...he does deserve credit for not only taking all that punishment...but you could see that he really wanted to still fight and at least somewhat try to win even nearly til the bitter end. Through a frightening amount of punishment. I still like Cotto more but after like round 6 or 7 vs Pac, he backpedal'd away so hard like Pac was the devil which is somewhat of a comparison of the chins/toughness of both. Not that I actually blame Cotto because he did give it his all and the fight was just taken from him early-mid that fight...given what he is.
Funny thread...i thought warriors won fights, not lose ALL 12 ROUNDS!
Yeah because everyone who doesn't win rounds against the machine that is Pacquiao is not a warrior...just a loser right? You ****ing tool.
Oh and hey I'll play devil's advocate even though I do like Cotto. The guy in your sig. The guy who got on his bike and flat out ran...like a warrior? Against Pac. gg.
I think what pisses me off in both cases far more than any talent mismatches is that there are so many guys more worthy and who have done far more to earn a shot than either Harrison or Chisora. I guess my answer has to be Haye v. Fraudley as at least Del Boy is likely to earn (another) title tilt at some point if he continues to fight, learn and improve. Fraudley was crap, is crap and if he is stupid enough not to retire will remain crap. Excellent amateurs do not always good pros make.
Wtf are you talking about?
I'm not arguing that Harrison wasn't worthless (clearly, he is) or that Chisora is a worthy opponent (unknown as of yet)....but who the f are you talking about when you say there are others who are far more worthy and have done far more to earn a title shot?
The heavyweight division is fairly barren. And the ones who do/did have any sort of talent AND wanted to get in the ring with the champion/s (Klitschkos) have already been wiped out. And well...the second part of that is important because a few of the others (namely Povetkin and Adamek)...their handlers want no part in putting their fighter in to possibly get ruined as of yet.
The problem isn't with talent mismatches being purposely put together...it's that there's just nobody out there right now with the proper combination of bravery, talent, and toughness to put on highly competitive matches with the Klitsckos. David Haye has that talent potential (as much as I hate him) to at least give the idea of a threat to the Klitschko's, but it's obvious to anyone with half a brain that he's cashing in beating on fraud contenders he knows he can beat while he can before setting himself up to at least get paid a **** ton when he does get in the ring with a Klitschko so that in the event that he does lose (highly probable), at least he got to cash out.
People need to understand that Shane drops Thor hammers and hits like a donkey. Pacquiao is an accumulation puncher. Mayweather has gotten hit by harder punchers then Pacquiao and Floyd never makes the same mistake twice in a fight.
http://dailycontributor.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/margarito-vs-mosley.jpg
Look at Margarito face, looks almost the same as when he came in the fight. This shows you he wasnt hit 1000x in the face but only a few times by some blunt force Mosley nukes.

Now this a pic of a usual Flat footed walk forward unintelligent Pacquaio opponent. Took an accumulation of punches by Pac more then Mosley ever hit him with. Didnt touch the canvas once. Floyd beats Pac easily honestly. Ima big Pac fan but he cant beat a cerebral athletic fighter Floyd. Floyd's gonna be poppin off straight rights and left hook combinations all night.
What Pac gonna do, use pressure?
http://threadbombing.com/data/media/20/ComingToAmericaLaugh.gif
Every Floyd Opponent use "Pressure" until they slow down thinking how are they gonna get passed that defense. Pacquiao is sloppy fighter as it is. He misses on these no defense slow opponents as it is. Little stuff like when Pacquiao jumps to his right after his jab (he'll be meet with a left hook) or how he leaves his hands down after after every combination his gonna pay for it. Hate to say it but its gonna be a one sided fight in Floyd's direction after the 5th round. Dont see how any real student of boxing could see it any different.
I agreed with your main point of the punching power difference of Pac and Mosley. Which is why I thankfully bet on Pac to win by decision this past weekend. But anyways, the part that makes you just look like a Mayweather nuthugger is where u start saying Pac is just a sloppy fighter. Pac has evolved a ton since his earlier days and if you don't see that, then you are no boxing student at all. He puts on pretty disciplined pressure, and is able to side step out of danger, darting in and out to get in his shots a lot better than I guess you would believe. And by the way, Mosley...for as much as I like him and for as much as he's accomplished...is still not really a polished boxer. Have you even seen him jab? It's just like a pawing...nothing shot. Sent out to just be a distraction for the power punches coming. Comparing Mosley's style to Pac's beyond the punching power is ignorant.
Pacquaio is one of my favorite fighters tho I bet against him when he fought Cotto (value). Mayweather is easily not so sure call me bias'd the other way too. But if you think this future super fight is just going to be a standard brawler vs supreme boxer fight...you sure have some of Mayweather's nuts far in your mouth. It's very fitting that the odds are about +130 for Pacquaio...-115 for Mayweather. A very even'ish fight with the slight edge deservedly going to Mayweather.
