Who wins and How?
The line is
Glenn Johnson -160
Allan Green +130
Kinda surprised to see Johnson open up the favorite.
I kinda have a hard time seeing Johnson being able to overcome the EXTREME youth disadvantage, but at the same time Johnsons chin counters Greens only advantage (power) and Johnson almost beat Cloud and didnt seem to struggle with HIS youth.
And I consider Cloud to be the better fighter.
We'll see. Should be an excellent scrap if you ask me
just me and 8 other peoples saw this KO coming..................
told yall, johnson is a wrecking machine and levels above green, the scoring was on par to screw johnson and i'm glad he took it out of the judges hands. the guy has been the most robbed fighter in the last 50+ years of boxing, i can't think of anyone else that has gotten so many screw jobs, you can lob out augustus but johnson comes in more professional and fights without antics which is what gets scored against augustus.
anyways, 9 of us told yall, johnson was winning within the distance of this fight.
booo bang!
johnson is just a freak to be able to fight like that at his age. ESPECIALLY considering all the wars he was in.
Gotta love the guy

Have got green here, Johnson isnt going to be making that weight in a healthy way and i could see him getting stopped.
disagree, he is often coming in at 173, 74 for his fights. He should have no problem making 68 despite his age. Green also can't fight inside and Glencoffe likes to get close. The only threat will be getting clipped with a wild left hook.
Johnson by UD.
Easy to predict- We saw Andre Ward fight up close on Allan Green....this is what Glen Johnson does consistent and at his best.Green can make any excuses he wants to,but he cannot fight on the inside without backing up-he is a mid range fighter...
Green should be able to control a drained Johnson with his jab, but again that's what was missing on his fight vs Ward. If He learned from that fight He should be able to pull a close D
i got johnson grinding green down and out and stops him in the championship rounds......
johnson IS going to out work green. johnson's defense is going to pick off A LOT of greens shots. johnson IS going to do more and harder work on the inside.
glenn johnson is the epitome of a professional, far beyond green, no disrespect, but johnson is levels above green in his approach to boxing.
i believe johnson when he said in a recent article that his weight isnt a concern because he's hired a nutritionalist and he feels great and everything is on track, weight, strength, and stamina. if true, green is in for the roughest fight of his career, coming from a 40+ year old man.
johnson has had success at the top level, at the big show, at the world championship level, more than once, and has made a career being a guy no one wants to fight, because even if you win, it feels like a loss against johnson. look at cloud, that guy was beside himself and had nothing to say after his win, he was gassed and had been through hell, and a weight drained johnson was getting all worked up calling out the bullmess.
whatever the case, if all is true about johnson with his weight and preparedness, green wont be able to thwart johnsons, pressure, counters, and work rate.........
johnson by late round tko over green.........
I think betting Glen Johnson at -155 which is what I got him at is a pretty good bet. You're just paying insurance on Johnson getting old overnight/getting weight drained. If it's the regular performances of these two, I don't see how Johnson doesn't just outwork Green to a fairly entertaining yet repetitive decision win.
apparently weight is no issue for him. he's been on weight for weeks and was like ON weight over a week ago
I heard 171 last week...No problem. Johnson keeps comming up with good performances over 40 years old. He just keeps plugging away and does a great job inside. Green has not looked all that great. I'm not surprised by the odds. Johnson (UD)
