Maidana is looking like he can cause a stir in this division. He packs some power. Dare I say, he can take a good punch. Every time Vic knocked him down you could tell he was not really hurt.
I have given the guy props and I am an Ortiz fan. Maidana was the harder puncher last night. He took some solid shots but didn't really look hurt. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing Maidana in the ring again.
I agree with all the people who say jmm is far more skilled than cotto. Watching him fight is like watching evolution take place in a matter of minutes.
I don't think he is afraid of JMM. He picked this fight for a reason. We all know he refuses fights that can put his 0 in danger. He is probably afraid of Pacquaio losing before he can jump on him. Hence, missing out on a huge paycheck.
I agree. The guy has heart. Not to mention guts to fight whoever they throw at him. He is not my favorite fighter, but I will not bad mouth him because of that.
As far as the fight, I think if Clottey could have kept his work rate up he would have taken it. The last two rounds were all Cotto in my eyes.
I am anxious to see Ortiz in the ring again. The John and Juarez fight should be entertaining as well.
As far as Ortiz being from Kansas, it makes sense now. During the promotion of Mayweather-Marquez on Sunday 5-17, on Olvera St in LA, he was wearing a Kansas shirt.
^ I agree. As much as I like Nacho, I don't see Cotto going down in six. Hell, I actually believe he should win this fight. I think Nacho is looking to land a gig, don't blame him Cotto is tough and after his last fight could use a new trainer.
A few I have heard
Amir Cunt
Floyd Mayflower
Manny Fagyao (Something along those lines)
Freddie Kreuger Arreola (Chris)
That's all I can think of at the moment.
