That fight was close, but just as close as corrales's win vs casamayor. they are three of the best lightweights out there, but i think castillo is slightly better, since he was the only one to really beat mayweather.
Mayweather was beaten in the first match, its so obvious. if anyone thinks he didn't they're crazy. but hell i can't change your minds so think what you want
lets think about the castillo mayweather fights, the reason floyde had problems with him was because he had decent power inside and was quick to shorten the gap. thats why hatton is going to beat mayweather, he not only can shorten that gap, he can hit hard, and if you don't belive me on that, just think about kostyas reported two broken ribs and broken jaw not to mention the report of brain brusing
If anyone thinks taylor is going to win i would seriously rethink that, the guy has only really beat one name, william joppy and an old one at thatand if you want to give him credit for beating Daniel Edouard go ahead but i wouldn't. B hope knows what he's doing, and thats why he took this fight.
Hopkins tko 10
How does a win against Jeremy Williams and Gilbert Martinez qualify Sam Peters for a shot at the title???? Why don't they just call out Vitali and Tyson like everybody else??
Peter needs to fight the winner of the Williamson vs Jefferson match or Wladmir or possibly if he's really lucky the winner of Brewster vs Golota.
He has definitly not earned a shot at one the top three boxers in the division.
Id say he more than qualifies in todays heavyweight devision, he's got power, quick hands, and hes young. sure give him a few more warm up fights let him test the heavyweight waters, but i really don't think it will change much, Peter's is the real thing. its not going to be another micheal grant repeat.
again , i think cotto wouldnt hit harder because he would weigh the same weight at fight night if he was at 140 or 147 . he is big for both divisions
No way tito is the hardest puncher p4p and i can see him neutralizing cotto with his his stiff jabs and killer straight rights.
Come on de la hoya's the greatest, margarito only beat cintron who up to a couple of weeks ago hadn't really been tested at all. Thats what happens to so called prospects they find out how good they really are. It doesn't make margarito the next big thing an i don't think we should be saying he's better then Oscar
After watching corley run from those punches cotto threw, and get literally thown to the ground with a hook id say Cotto has the potential to knock out just about anyone in the light welterweight devision or lower, and as for his skills, i think he's one of the most technically sound boxers out there. he might not win every fight he's in, but i can definitly see him being champ some time in the future.
Best flurry iv ever seen has to be de la hoya's finishing flurry in the 11'th vs vargas that was awsome. a close second would be his his flurry against quarty in the final round
I agree he's going to get caught by peter's, the guy can throw fast and at odd angles, hes going to catch vlad and make him quit early like. we shall witness quitsko in action
this is an intresting topic but recent news says peters will probably fight toney first, i don't think toney is going to turn down a challenge from Peter's, and this fight makes a match with vlad later on even more exciting for both fighters.
pbf has fought some good fighters true but never great, so p4p greatest as he puts it is bull, by the way how can you consider him great for taking on gatti hes got like 6 losses to mostly avrage fighters with the exception of de la hoya who DESTROYED him in five, and i like to emphesise the fact the pbf actually lost to castillo in their first meeting which more than proves hes not what you make him out to be.
Roy has been doing what floyde is doing right now, and it eventually would lead to his demise. True great fighters out there don't do that, they fight the best no excusses, like de la hoya or morales.
John Duddy is awsome, i saw his last fight, what a knockout, don't know how far he'll go though. He'll probably be another calzaghe british type fighter, popular over there and nowhere else
