Is Cotto ready for the winner of Castillo vs Corrales?

I think Castillo is going to beat Corrales.
So if Castillo and Cotto are to fight I think Castillo will win by KO. I don't think Cotto can take Castillo's punch because Cotto couldn't take Corley's punch. So I say Castillo wins by KO.
Cotto said " I will gladly roll out the welcome mat to the winner, in defence of my title."
I think that Chico is more talented than Miguel and Jose but that doesn't mean he'll win.
I think Castillo will once again use his toughness, aggession and great stamina to smother Chico's offense as he always does and pound the strength out of his body enroute to a decision win.
If he then went on to meet Cotto ... I know that Castillo is probably more comfortable at 140 than 135 but Cotto is probably more comfortable at 154!
I like Cotto in a decision victory because he's just too big for em.
I was told that Cotto will do 2 more fights at 140 and then go to 147....
So there is a chance that Castillo and Cotto could meet at 140lb. Hopefully they do meet it would be a great fight and would give us boxing fans something to look forward too. This fight would be good for boxing, Mexicans and Puerto Ricans always give good fights.
Both you guys should stop bein so fuckin racist...
Whtf you talking about I am not being racist I was calling Santos a little bitch. I din't say anything racist about Puerto Ricans.
All this buzz cuz Cotto said he would welcome them....What did you expect him to say if they ask him about their fight and ask him if he would fight them...But like I said before, by the time Chico and Castillo are at welter, Cotto will be at 147..
Dude Castillo said that The Corrales fight might be his last fight at 135lb (maybe one more) and then he will go up to 140lb. So this fight could happen. I doubt that Cotto wants to move up any time soon because Margarito is up their and im sure that Margarito will call him out.
Santos wasnt over 15lb, stop using that as an excuse, and if he did, so do many, you are like a girl who crys too much, two times they gave him a chance, unlike you Mexicans, Puerto Ricans dont hold fighters hands, if he were to lose a 3rd time, you'll still rant for your "baby".
Dude do you belive the shit that comes out of your mouth. I'l tell you this much Margarito is what you call a champ and Santos is what you call a chump.
"Puerto Ricans have nothing on Mexicans"
Yea I agree Puerto Rico's boxing scene is currupt. They give their fighters the win all the time. They stopped the Cotto-Corley fight way to soon and they also robbed Margarito when he fought against Santos. No fighter should go to Puerto Rico and fight because thats an automatic loss.
Actually, I had Santos ahead by one point at the time of stoppage, and so did the other 3 Mexicans I was watching the fight with. It's all a matter of how you score a fight: effective punching, power punching, the other fighter being staggered, what have you. So, in my opinion, Santos didn't rob Margarito, Margarito didn't do enough.
Also, I don't know if you remember, but while Santos was only wabbled in one round (the fourth, I believe, at the end on the ropes), Margarito was hurt four times and I thought he was going to get his ass KO'd. Santos did come into the fight at 170, tho, so he was a bit heavy. Margarito was 165 if I remember correctly.
were talkin bout the 140 cotto
or the 130 cotto
assumin the 140
i say he can KO chico
prolly break down that body
i dont think he can stop castillo
but i can see him gettin a UD
100% agree
they were doing him, and the fans a favor, cause what you dont remenber is the cut happening two or so rounds before the stoppage, the annoucers touched on the subject that it could/should be stoped earlier than it was, I remenber both in trouble a couple times, and Santos being the champion, Margarito didnt do nearly enough to get a win.
The only reason that Margarito didn't KO Santos is because that little bitch came into the ring 15lb heavier. If not for his weight Margarito would have KOd his ass.
"Puerto Ricans are the king of robberies/ they perfected it."
Backwards bro, Margarito was scared and confused cause Santos stood infront of him, which he wasnt supposed or said he was gonna do, that why everybody was shocked cause Santos said he doesnt care about pleasing the fans, Margarito allways comes foward, note that twice he got cut in the same place, to lose both times, over the same shit.
From what I saw dude in the late rounds before stopping, Santos was sticking and moving. He was using the ring and looked like he was running out of breath. I detected a sense of panick in him and saw relief when the stoppage came. I'm not hating that's seriously how I interpreted it.
i think cotto's stock has fallen because of the fight with corley everybody seems to think that he can get koed by anyone. i look at it difrently 1st. off he got nailed dead on his temple it had nothing to do with power i don't care what boxer you are or what boxer hits you if you get nailed in the temple you are going to get wobeled. i think he re-acted very well for a young fighter being hurt for the 1st. time . cotto ha alot of potential and he will only get better. a give a better shot against corales because cotto has alot of power and corales was knocked down 5 times vs. mayweather and a couple of times in his 1st. fight against casamayor neither of those guys have the power that cotto has plus i think cotto is a better boxer. the castillo fight would be alot tougher i really can't see him wining because castillo has a granite chin and the expirience factor this i apply to BOTH fights
well said. he's not ready. they better fight cotto stateside.puerto rico's boxing scene is more corrupt and filthier then even here.
After watching corley run from those punches cotto threw, and get literally thown to the ground with a hook id say Cotto has the potential to knock out just about anyone in the light welterweight devision or lower, and as for his skills, i think he's one of the most technically sound boxers out there. he might not win every fight he's in, but i can definitly see him being champ some time in the future.
hmm
So, to say that a fighter who has to drain himself to make weight will lose automatically is a fallacious statement.
Also, when he fought Corral, the fight after his second Mayweather loss, he walked into the ring at 160 pounds (the official weight was 147, tho).
As for Corrales having the power to KO Cotto, I do believe he does but he'd have to get into the late rounds to do it and I think Cotto would take him out before that. Corrales doesn't exactly have the best chin in the business.
No one said that means an automatic win for Castillo. It's just one reason why he would win. Others being that he is relentless and has an awesome chin.
Weighing in at 135, Castillo has never came in at 160 or within 6 lbs of it. We are not talking welterweight fights here.
Cotto's chin is just as questionable as Corrales, and Corrales has much more experience vs better fighters than Cotto has. Big power is only one reason Cotto would probably lose to Corrales.
