Here it goes. Another Trinidad thread. We are less than two weeks from the Trinidad vs. Wright clash, and I want to say that I believe this will be one of the biggest risks in Trinidad's career. Now I ask you to mention the fights that you think were the biggest risks or challenges in Trinidad's career. Here's my list:
1. Trinidad vs. Hopkins(2001)
2. Trinidad vs. Wright(2005)
3. Trinidad vs. De La Hoya(1999)
4. Trinidad vs. Vargas(2000)
5. Trinidad vs. Mayorga(2004)
Honorable Mentions:
Trinidad vs. Joppy(2001)
Trinidad vs. Campas(1994)

Trinidad vs Hopkins
Trinidad vs DLH
Trinidad vs Vargas
Trinidad vs Winky
Hopkins did a great job in confusing Tito and not by power but because of all the damage sustained after 12 rounds of getting punched TKO him. Tito IMO would have been able to continue and lose by UD but Trinidad teh Dad not the trainer stopped it. DLH was the one who almost executed what a lot of boxers, not punchers, had tried, Tito got frustrated because this was his shot at glory and the hype was that it would be the fight of the millenium, Tito was up to it, DLH just for the money, not the pride. Against Vargas because it has to mess your mind that after you destroy a guy in the first round he comes back and almost does the same to you, but Tito was patient and KO came. Winky has the skills to 3Peat DLH, Hopkins, we will see.
Of course my list will differ from everyone elses. In the sense that we are talking about RISK and not actual performance.
1. Joppy-- His first fight moving up in weight against one of the slickest fighters at that time. A good solid pro who beat some game opponents including JC green....and yes I know. He did beat a washed up Duran, but showed his skill in the process. I thought he was going to admninster Tito his first loss as a professional.
2. Hopkins-- Reigning middleweight champion, who of course was underrated in his boxing ability at the time.
3. Oba Carr-- One of the better pure boxers in the sport at the time they fought, and I figured it would be a dangerous fight for Trinidad
4. Reid-- I thought there was no way in hell he was going to beat David before the fight. I guess I was wrong about that.
5. DLH-- Both of them were well established, and that is why it was considered the "fight of the Millenium".

THE BIGGEST was YoriBoy Campas. Campas needed to go to COURT to get that fight cuz no one INCLUDING TRINIDAD wanted to fight him because of his unbelievable record at the time, well we all know what happened after that.... :boxing:
Do you mean what people thought would be his hardests bouts? because Tito destroyed Joppy in 4...
Well heres my list.
1. vs Hopkins
2. vs De la Hoya
3. vs Vargas
hes looked good against everyone else
