Pac definitely makes mistakes. Such as letting Cotto hit him just for the hell of it, additionally - he let a few uppercuts through willingly against Clottey
lol @ the catchweight comment. Do understand that this was a better fight for margarito weight wise compared to when he fought Mosley ( - didn't have to get weight drained as much as 147).
The best thing about this fight was that Pacqiao zapped the energy out of margarito when he hit him with that body shot early on and stopped the big man in his tracks (note, he was still fresh at the time). Alot of people thought Clottey wasn't getting hurt by those Pac body shots - but it's clear that those body punches from PAC got pop.
I think you guys need to give Pac props for this fight compared to the other one. For one, his body shots are damned vicious (we've never seen the full effect of it until now) and nearly crippled Margarito in the fourth round (who was still fresh at the time). Best part is that the Pac actually wasn't as strong as before (Clottey fight).
If floyd ever fights pac, he better protect em ribs because his shoulder shrug ain't gonna help. I doubt Mayweather could have taken the same body shot.
Manny Pac's punches weren't hurting Margs as much... i would bet
but he threw a ton of fast, accurate punches that take its toll.
Pac's recent opponents have said "his punches don't hurt me"
Dunno about this, when Pac hit Marg with that body punch on the 4th - it looked like it definitely hurt - lol.
It was like Kryptonite.
Yeah i couldnt belive he hurt Marg with a body shot like that...Clottey is still a dam Abrams-tank though.
Word - Clottey has one thick-assed torso. Nevertheless - a great shot considering Margarito trained like a MOFO for his so-called redemption and was probably in much better shape than in any of his other fights.
While there might be a slight chance Clottey and Berto pull off an upset, More than likely this is the Mega fight we will see this fall. How many buys do you see this doing? If I was to bet I would say over 1.5 million buys.
It'll be darned big. Especially if Mosley wins against Berto, and Pac wins against Clottey. It'll be the welterweight title unification bout and a very big payday for Mosley to boot.
The bandages actually tell a lot, and that ear injury really hurts a lot.
The bandage was needed because you need to put compression force on an ear that's cauli flowered.
In other words, it doesn't really say a lot. The testament that the guy was able to take the beating and still sing at a concert after tells you that he wasn't "hurt" that bad aside from the ear.
Flips need to stop eating dog. In America we no eat dog.
Don't lie man, you are a Fakexican. Tell us how many hairless mexican dogs you've snacked on over the years?
If the Itzqu's are in fact extinct, what breed(?) is in the photo you posted?
I'm intrigued by its appearance -- it looks like it could be a cool dog to
care for.
That's a Mexican Hairless Dog (puppy) - aka Xoloitzcuintli (Xolo) - pretty rare. Feisty little fuqers. An ancient breed native to North America, more than 3,000 years old. Those dogs ran around in North America way before Columbus arrived (ferocity = there were no dogs in North America before the spaniards came = BS!).

If you really want one - check this out

WTF are you talking about, dogs are domesticated wolves. And find an area in the northern hemisphere where you won't find those.
In other words, North America had dogs way before the spanish set foot in the continent.
Herman Cortez reported that the Aztecs bred small gelded dogs called "Itzcuintlis" for eating and were sold in city markets. So yes, your ancestors ate dogs.
I don't know wtf is up with the dog bs. It ain't a delicacy in the phillipines (it's taboo in mainstream filipino culture), maybe in Korea or some parts of China something. The only people that eat dog there are the drunk mofo's who don't have any money and can't afford pulutan. There's a law in the Phillipines called the Animal Welfare (1998) which prohibits killing dogs, cats and etc.
It's like saying the Mexicans eat dogs because it was a delicacy during Aztec times. The Aztecs historically bred dogs for human consumption.
I would also not eat any fuqing taco's in Mexico too - a guy named Ruben Cuellar of Veracruz-Boca del Rio killed dogs and sold the meat to local taco restaurants - lol.
The sad thing is you are probably one of those poser mexicans who wasn't even born in mexico. Nor studied in Mexico and it's history.
You also probably live in the US (East LA or some bullshit). Some lame assed FAKEXICAN who thinks he's Mexican just because he went once or twice to Tijuana.
Phillipines and Mexico were tied at the hip with galleons being shipped between both countries for more than 250 years. Maybe that's how some filipino's figured out it was okay to eat dog, from the Mexicans - lol.
I think Valero is nuthugging a bit looking for oppurtunity. I think he wants to make a mark in the boxing world and not retire as a nobody.
He'll, I'd nut hug too if it means I'll get a shot at making more $$$ and fight ranked boxers.
Yeah, and those Itzcuintlis dogs kinda look like this

That particular breed is extinct now, I believe ferocity ancestors ate all of them. Those dogs would probably still be a delicacy today in some parts of Mexico if they weren't extinct.
In fact, I believe that's how Ferocity got his Nick - cuz Hairless dogs like Chihuahua's are fierce little fuqers right? He ate a few then decided to fake it and call himself ferocity.
If Valero is indeed signing up with MP Promotions then maybe the Pac is following De La Hoya's footsteps.
I personally would like to see a fight betwee Valero and Kitsadis. Should be a brawl and will open the door for Valero to fight better fighters instead of bums in Japan.
Maybe there's a deal brewing between a Edwin Valero vs Michael Kitsadis.
Michael Kitsadis has an upcoming fight in Cebu no?
Doesn't that sound good? Valero's already moved up to Lightweight so maybe he's helping him get a shot at bigger money? If such a fight happens and Valero wins - it might be his ticket to getting a shot at the prize fighters.
Another JMM fight would be great, but we all know it - ain't gonna happen anytime soon. No money in-it. International and most local peeps again't gonna pay big bucks to see a guy who has been knocked down 4 times by the pac no matter how good a fighter he is. As for Valero, he seems to be talking shit saying he's the one that gave DLH the black eye @ bigbear. No money in that fight either so the guys never gonna get a shot and will keep on fighting bums over in Japan - lol. I think Valero needs to show he can go the distance first as his stamina hasn't been proven yet.
I personally think this is what's gonna happen - the Pac will only have 3 big fights left before he retires (that's what he has stated).
Next fight will be with Hatton @ Light Welterweight (140 lbs). That's pushing it with the Pac but it should be a good brawl anyways (and Hatton will get KTFO in later rounds). Gayweather is retired and I'll believe he'll sit this particular schedule to get back in shape. This will be a big money fight and PPV over the UK will be huge to back their man. I'm sure the Mexicans will watch this fight and back the Pac with their $$$.
The second fight will be with Gayweather - another big money fight which Gayweather will definitely be interested in, especially if it's 50/50 $$$. It will be dubbed as the fight of the century to figure out who the #1 PVP is. In the end, it'll be one boring fight with maybe the Gayweather winning by decision (back pedal - no fight). This fight will most likely be at Light Welterweight also - because everybody will say the Pac is disadvantaged at 147lbs (we all know Floyd can easily hit 140 especially when there's alot of $$$ involved). Everybody hates the gayweather so the Mexicans will definitely spend their hard earned $$$ to watch this fight. If this fight won't happen, then they'll most likely setup the PAC with Gayweather Jr - aka - Joan Guzman @ Lightweight (135 lbs). This time, I believe Gayweather Jr. will show up for the fight (unlike the bout vs. Nate Campbell) because he would be crazy not to (most likely will be the largest paycheck in his career). This will be dubbed Speed vs Speed, with Guzman getting KTFO because even though he might be fast, he doesn't have stopping power.
For PACs last fight, he'll end his career by fighting JMM @ Lightweight one last time to prove it to himself he won. The mexican assassin as usual will bring JMM to his knees a couple of times (let's face it, the Pac is stronger than JMM @ lightweight and JMM will be a couple of years older). But in the end, JMM will show him that he ain't Gay La Hoya and it'll be a fight to the end (no towels). Once again, the verdict will be just like fight #2. Knock Down always win. JMM will then retire with a fat assed bank account and he'll stop bitching about the Pac and will do a San Miguel Beer commercial with him and they'll be buddies.
margarito is only half an inch taller than delahoya not 6'2
Yep, he's 5'11" - looked much taller when he gave Cotto the beat down though - lol.
Maybe this time, the PacMan will have to wear high-heels to the weigh-in pics.
If everybody thought the DeLa Hoya was tall, how about a 6'2" Margarito vs the Pac? What kind of BS is that - lol
Margarito ain't ghey and I personally believe won't do it because he knows full well it ain't fair.
yes but you seem to think that its just autmaticaly set that you should always try new trainers and I dont agree with that.
Without risk - there's no reward. You'll never know until you try. There are ways to mitigate risks, frankly - sticking to good names in the training biz would help quite a bit (Nacho, Roach, ...).
Nevertheless, some people are just thick-headed and don't want to learn and improve, look at what happened to Hatton (Mayweather Sr). Alot of it ends up being the fighter not wanting to change what he's comfortable with.
I'm not saying he should get different trainer every fight. But like artists, some trainers are better than others (just a simple fact). Nevertheless, each trainer has a different POV, and some of those POV's may in fact make him a better fighter..
The statement, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it is like saying", don't try to IMPROVE because it ain't broke. The problem is, sometimes its broke - you just don't know any better that it is.
Question funks. Not for nothing, but have you ever boxed?
Nah, i'm just an e-thug in the InterWeb Forums full of Mayweather and Pacquaio bashing. Nevertheless, don't want the Zab Judah thing happening to this guy (Father as the Trainer). But from what SoundTraveler says, looks like the guys father may be the real deal.
In some ways, DLT and I agree (didn't see his post, the thread moved too fast).
does home box office shawn sound good
Most of the fights happen in HBO - I really don't think they'll like mentioning your Nick Name - lol. Sounds petty but you know some of those suits will be thinking about it..
oh i got a question boss.
did u really knock pacquiao down during the first week of sparring?:boxing:
Sorry but you need to read, he mentioned several times that what happens in the gym stays in the gym.
There ya go...ya heard him and we'll definitely be watching...and GOOD LUCK!! (if you really are him)
its Showtime
You gotta change that to something else HBO will hate you - lol.
