Truax was a game opponent that kept trying for 12rds tonight. He was able to hit Caleb Plant with some rights. Plant took them well and boxed good. Used angles, good punches, & defense was good for the most part. He out skilled Truax. #PlantTruax
I would have loved Bowe vs. Ruddock. I think Bowe stops him in an all time great match up. Bowe vs. Mercer would be one hell of a fight. I'm sure the sparring matches between them in the 88 Olympic camp was great.
Most of the guys kissing Haymon's ass would be losing their shit if Arum was accumulating the same sort of influence.
These idiots seem to have latched onto the belief that Haymon is a saviour, not just another promoter trying to make money from the sport which is how the rest of us see him.
I don't see why he should exclusively get a pass for his bullshit, I'd love to know why people think he should.
lol yeah, you mad. with that said, everyone in business is in business for financial gain, first and foremost; it matter if they succeed or not.
If Garcia can use his legs and box and catch rios walking straight in then he should win it. he has to keep rios going in circles, use angles and some movement.
I think the best bet is easily Deontay Wilder
He's a HW, charismatic, packs a big punch, and if he can beat Klitschko he'll gain legitimacy.
Others Broner and Thurman
GGG, Canelo, Crawford, etc dont have cross over potential.Broner is to offensive to have cross over potential like that. There's already footage online of him going down on strippers and telling Jay Z and Rihanna they can suck his d!ck. He put the nail in his own coffin; I honestly believe that Broner has hit a plateau
As all of us know, Floyd -
I like how this idiot starts his post off with "As all of us know..."
So you're thinking for other people now? You set your comment up to try and rally up as much people as possible to agree with >YOUR< statement. As if those of us who don't agree with you will stray away from the post because you just rallied up your soldiers by says "as all of us know...". Well, perhaps you meant as all of us IDIOTS know.
Fighters have been fighting injured for decades, win lose or draw and you don't hear them using their injury as an excuse to why they lost or why they won, etc.
Bottom line is that Floyd beat Pacquiao, simple as that. Floyd's been fighting most of his fights with ****ed up hands, you don't hear him making excuses as to why some fights were close or went the distance. Ward, etc all have fought with injuries and some parts broken.
Be a man and stop being a so full of hate and disdain.
It's ridiculous. There's actually so much potential today when only last year even naming one successor was tough. A lot of that has to do with PBC too though, but even HBO is on a great run.
There doesn't have to be one though, they can have a different star on every network. There's so much potential for new stars I actually forgot about some of them until reading some of the posts in this thread. TS you also forgot Thurman.
Of course Keith Thurman. How can I forget.
I just think that with Crawford being from Omaha, that really does help him out a lot. Granted, he's a young african american guy but by being from Oklahoma that puts him right there for the caucasian fan base to follow. For example, Ward's fan base is prodominantly black. White people and other ethnic groups support the talent in their area than black people do. I'm not even trying to be funny, or racist with this comment, it's real ****.
Canelo.
People forget that he's 24 and was only 22 when he fought Mayweather. I think that Canelo not being able to speak english will hold him back. GGG is trying to crossover, he was even speaking some spanish on saturday night. I bet you GGG speaks better english than Canelo lol.
if dirrell cant beat him in the amatuers in 3 round fights with headgear he sure isnt gonna even come close to beating him now...
You'd think that but Dirrell beat GGG back in 2003. In 2004 GGG won in Athens. NEXT!
Listen. Mayweather is like public enemy #1. He is the fighter that everyone loves to hate. If this fight goes 12 competitive rounds, then you better believe that Manny will get the victory. As much as vegas and MGM loves Mayweather, they love $$$ more. Look how long it took for this fight to happen, 5 or 6 years. If Floyd wins, who's to say he'll fight Manny again? After all, it's not in the contract, is it? So that means they fight a few times and Vegas brings in WELL OVER A BILLION DOLLARS.
However if Manny wins, then you better believe that Floyd will want to get his revenge and beat Manny. After all, no one makes adjustments better than Floyd. I see Manny winning the first fight and Floyd winning fights 2 and 3.
