Caleb plant sux,1 of worst fighters to watch fight

So you were impressed with Caleb Plant tonight, Vlad_? The rest of the forum seems to be underwhelmed. Maybe he broke his hand like he said? He was entertaining against Bolivita. Only fight of him that I watched complete.

Plant vs Andrade is what i wanna see now That could likely produce the strongest sleeping pill ever. Two boring ass boxers I'd really never want to see again. They are garbage.

Fighters that are not entertaining should not be on television.

Uzi vs Plant was for the vacant belt,as in neither 1 had a belt going into the fight. That said you keep misquoting me I said "the CHAMP with the worst ring iq"(out of all the marquee divisions, excluding very low weights) show me what Champ has a worse ring iq out of the current champs?(In other words a champ who could've blasted out opponents easily but didn't because hes too timid & doesn't throw right hands often) Ring IQ has nothing to do with "blasting out guys early". Floyd might have the best ring IQ in decades and he sure didn't subscribe to that belief.

Plant is trash. He has nothing to keep clanelo off of him. Andrade is boring too. Benavidez is the fight after saunders.

You must have a different boxrec. It wasn't, I followed the chronological events closely. Uzi's a "gatekeeper" now but when Plant took that fight it was off a layoff, broken hand, no tune up, & came in the underdog. This is exactly how people re-write history, it's easy to pretend like it wasn't what it was AFTER THE FACT. There's a reason Plant wasn't the favorite he was in this fight vs when he fought Uzi. Ask any highly respected professional or aficionado if they agree with what you said about Plant having the worst ring IQ in the game. Don't take my word for it. Easy is what Canelo did to Callum or Floyd did to Canelo. Aside from Canelo none of the fighters you named I see doing that to Plant. They all go through adversity IF they even win, even Canelo. He can win rounds against those guys, from my perspective it ain't like they gon go in there & just stop him inside 5 or win every single round unequivocally. Just checked boxrec,it was a vacant belt. I genuinely think Im being 100% real when I say Plant is not ready for the best. Let's break it down,Plant has among the best jabs in the game(vs no hopers, can't tell for sure how far hes come in jabs vs the elite because he hasn't faced anyone but Uzi whos a gatekeeper.) But thats the problem,he ONLY has a good jab & left hook. In the few fights I've watched of Plants he's depended completely on the left. His iq being so bad is in reference to the fact that vs Fegenbutz & Truax he could've blasted them out by flurrying anytime he wanted from 4th rd on. (both guys would've probably been stopped by the ref as soon as Plant started flurrying (he had the speed,timing etc to batter them at any time he wanted,he was in a different stratosphere to them,but he still let them stick around for eternity it felt like v Fegenbutz,& for 12 rds v Truax.) So it's safe to call that horrible ring iq,by definition. Cmon now he dont suck. Def not elite but hes a good slick boxer, lacks pop for sure. And I've never liked his pace.. Think paulie but at super middleweight

What I take away from tonight is that Plant knew he wasn't anywhere near ready for Canelo. The short training camp was an excuse to buy time for Plant to improve because obviously Haymon knew he was nowhere near ready.(& Al wouldn't have an excuse to tell Charlo as to why Plants getting the fight not him) Bottom line is that I don't expect Plant to even entertain fighting the best in 2021.

Truax was a game opponent that kept trying for 12rds tonight. He was able to hit Caleb Plant with some rights. Plant took them well and boxed good. Used angles, good punches, & defense was good for the most part. He out skilled Truax. #PlantTruax

Agreed his performance was putrid.

i actually believe the broken hand thing. he wasnt throwing the right hand with full power. i was wondering what the **** was wrong with the right hand during the fight. that being said, his defense is great, but Canelos speed and timing and ring iq will be too much. Canelo will ko him. Wait he said he broke his right hand?(I stopped watching after rd 8) I still don't buy it because he did the same thing vs Fegenbutz (I did watch the clip mid fight that showed him doing wrist exercises(I thought immediately,wtf is he doing? Doesn't he know thats bad for his wrists)and of course the announcer was praising him for his special training method. Bottom line though hes shown every fight he barely throws r hands,hes among the best at jabbing & left hooks but he only throws those 2 punches 90% of time

I guess the reason I'm so agrevated after watching Plant is because if he learned how to use his right hand he could be a elite pts win fighter(but after Fegenbutz & Truax I was left saying the same thing,he has to have the worst boxing iq of any champ in the game (I said it repeatedly after Fegenbutz too)

I have never said Plants more of a threat than Charlo,Andrade on the other hand is almost just as bad to watch(at least he throws right hands) BJS IMHO is also better than Plant because at least he throws rights. Charlo vs Canelo would be a great fun fight because Charlo fights with bad intentions(the problem is that winning the WBC again doesn't do much for Canelos legacy since he already beat ggg & Jacobs at mw).(I'm sure that Charlo fight happens in a yr or so) Alright fair play. I just think the only guys with a chance to beat Canelo are Andrade and Charlo, I don't rly give anyone at 168 a shot. I think Canelo knows this too. Actually, I know Canelo knows this.
