Yeah guy is a tank. If you watch the whole interview you see Kenny showing evidence of Shawn dropping Kirkland in sparring. Also he implies that Porter got the better of Thurman in sparring.
I think he's very underrated on here, people are acting like he's some bum since he took that L. He's the real deal.
Yeah the moaning about him since the Brook fight has been ridiculous he has been totally ruled out. He is still a good fighter. I can only guess it is from the hype he was getting beforehand and people were sickened they thought he would demolish everyone and was beaten. People on here pump you up with wins and then throw you to the wolves with a loss regardless of competeion levels.
Froch was dissing Floyd before that interview when he was with Paulie. Funny how Floyd give Froch credit when Floyd is the bigger name.
really? what did he say?
Spot on on all accounts. I wasn't sure about the quigg framton situation though , Hearn says they have to put up the money and they will get it where they want. to me that made sense but it was clearly a publicity stunt that wasn't feasible ?
I think it's the typical b-scene mindset. Get dropped from a body shot once or twice in your career? You're weak to the body and a wind gust that hits you knocks you down. Get KO'd once in your career? Glass jaw. Lose 3 times in 25 fights? Journeyman bum. Don't come out of the corner in the 9th round because your left eyeball is hanging out of its socket? Quitter and coward. And so on.
LOL this is so true
I guess Emmanuel Augustus is exciting too so he belongs in it. Bernard Hopkins is boring as hell, he doesn't get in, right?
Gatti wasn't a journey man and Hopkins gets in because of his accompliahmts and he is famous for his achievements
If we are going to elect fighters in the hall based on being in exciting fights then there are several from the 40s through the 60s that should be in.
who? and which were your personal favourites?
How about he's actually coming off a win? :lol1:
Choosing Alwxander would not only be a pathetic cherry pick it would also be a guaranteed stinker.
They are putting Brook on PPV and Alwxander is simply not PPV worthy.
ok so as long as your coming off a win your a good fighter, doesnt matter if your fighting the best or not.
Cherry picking exists because of fans like you.
Ok well at least 4 of those are not realistic.
JMM was their first choice and Hearn would make that fight easily if Marquez said he wanted to fight again but we don't know if he is going to.
Maidana is getting married this summer or something and weighs 300lbs at the moment. Not fighting until September I believe.
Thurman is probably the best option but Haymon is not sending him to Sheffield in July. He wants to build Thurman on NBC, whilst Hearn wants to build Brook in the UK. That fight has not reached its potential yet.
Bradley - don't know. He's getting $2million guarantees apparently to fight the likes of Jessie Vargas and Cornholio Bumdrage....how much is he going to want to travel to face Brook?
Alexander - LOL.....just got whitewashed by Khan. That would be a horrific PR disaster if he was Brook's big summer opponent.
Rios is kinda underwhelming I agree but he's a name, has HBO backing and is an exciting fighter that people want to watch. I would prefer Marquez but the others you listed are unrealistic.
Bradley should be attempted to be made at least. Has Maidana ruled himself out?
Maidana is getting married or having a kid or something. There's some personal reason which I can't remember exactly off the top of my head. Ask the Argentine kid who posts here, he was the one who posted the pictures of him looking like Kim Jong Il.
I don't think the money is there to bring Bradley over personally. I am just guessing with Bradley. I don't really know what he wants to do but if he's getting $2m guaranteed for Jessie Vargas....then why would he travel to the UK to fight Brook?
That gets him nowhere though,I also doubt that Hearn is keen for Brook to fight somebody dangerous like Bradley before Khan.
Devon Alexander? :lol1: you must be having a laugh.
In what world is he a better opponent than Brandon Rios? It's obvious they tried to get JMM over but he probably either prices himself out or didn't want to go to the UK. Haymon doesn't want Thurman to go to the UK, Bradley is fighting an eliminator to face Brook and Khan is ducking. Considering all, Rios is a good fighter coming off a good win and always brings the heat. Goes to war.
Alexander.. Haha. He got completely out hustled by the guy Brook just schooled. And then lost to the guy that is now ducking Brook.
what has Rios done to prove he is better than devon alexander at any weight or any stage of his career?
Last I heard from Maidana's manager is that he wasn't fighting until September. And the last picture I saw of him suggests he is well off fighting weight.
Bradley is in line to take an IBF eliminator so he could easily become Brook's mandatory and force the fight but I think we all know he's going to be in some Top Rank in house fight.
Yeah alright a world title shot could change Maidanas mind, I did hear I think that hes not too bothered anymore though.
Thats too soft an excuse though, Bradley already fought Pacquio twice he wouldnt be next for Mayweather either Im sure he'd want a shot at Kell he was willing to fight him before. That fight wasnt mentioned at all by Hearn.
Stevenson isn't on the list so no
Floyd Mayweather spent last year fighting Maidana who was/never will be anywhere near pound for pound and he is still number one. Bradley has just drawn with Chavez, no big legitimate wins at his weight class, Golovkin no big wins, Kovalev is close but Pascal is a step down from Stevenson, Marquez is on steroids, why not Bika?
Stevenson has not gotten a big win in recent times but he is an elite fighter and is a win away from a top position.
So i see questions on here have gotten no less ****ing retarded.
why come? his losses could have gone either way and this is against the best of the best. Who have the other p4p fighters beaten as good as Andre Ward and Joe Calzaghe?
He could KO Stevenson in the opening seconds of round 1 and still not be able to whiff the scent of Top 10 P4P.
Marquez is in it? He was outboxed by Bradley and is 42 years old, nowhere near top of his division. Bradley is not at the top of his division either, couldn't even beat Chavez.
Only guy who I think genuinely wants the big names is Shawn Porter.
These other guys or their handlers are trying to milk their earnings. I think Bradley also would fight anybody as he already made almost $20 million in his career... so I don't think he cares who he fights.
I agree especially with the loss he took , he has that mentality , I don't believe thurman does
