Seriously, what the hell is going on?
We're talking a division that has jumped back to the best in boxing with a long list of very good fighters, yet we have promoters who are apparently considering these fights:
Khan vs Algieri
Brook vs Gavin
Thurman vs Berto
That is Al Haymon and Eddie Hearn's idea of watchable fights? 3 absolute stinkers that won't be competitive, won't advance any of the fighters and won't provide any interest.
Bradley, Porter, Maidana, Rios, Marquez and the three already mentioned are available and this is the best they can cook up?
Piss off.
Jeez, you asked who he had fought at WW and I answered. Chill out.
My bad I was only counting fights against real WW's. Nobody considers Alvarado a WW. I forgot about Chaves.
Sorry boss, can you let me off with just a warning this time?
Dinemita don't need you to stick up for him. Now go outside and play and leave the grown folks business to the grown folks.
What you're saying makes absolutely zero sense.
I'm convinced you don't follow boxing. Can you name me 5 boxers other than Floyd and Pacquiao without using Google? I doubt it.
Mind your business. I wasn't talking to you.
Alright I'm just saying don't start crying when Danny is next up for Floyd. Your next argument will be what has Danny proved at WW. According to your standard he will be 2-0. And the fact that it's Peterson and Salsa has nothing to do with it.

Yes, how is that relevant?
Why move the goal post? You initially made the bold statement Rios had not won a round at 147, but he's 2-1 as a WW. Opposition had nothing to do with your initial point.

I think this division is a little overrated btw. The fact that both Manny and Floyd are in the house means that all the guys around them get way more attention.
Will be interesting to see if they can justify the hype after Manny & Floyd retire. I have my doubts.
OMG really? So after Danny Garcia wins Saturday is that going to make him 2-0 @ WW?

I agree especially with the loss he took , he has that mentality , I don't believe thurman does
lol you're obsessed with Thurman man.
Do you know that Porter's team turned down a fight with Thurman last year?
Thurman is open to fighting anyone, that's as clear as daylight.
Only guy who I think genuinely wants the big names is Shawn Porter.
These other guys or their handlers are trying to milk their earnings. I think Bradley also would fight anybody as he already made almost $20 million in his career... so I don't think he cares who he fights.

It's a pretty deep and talented division. Unfortunately, it's a division that is very much governed by promotional politics, and teams/advisers who don't want to risk their fighters record(s).

No one wants to risk anything because of Mayweather and Pacquiao. The sooner those two retire, the sooner the division stops this crap.
It's more Mayweather since Khan, Thurman aren't getting Pacquiao anyway.
I guess Brook could be said to be waiting for Pacquiao but I dout that fight gets made either, Floyd is the one they all want.
I'm looking forward to Thurman ending Berto tho, if that fight is made.
in a just world we'd be getting khan-brook and thruman-bradley over the summer, with the winners facing each other and then the last man standing taking on mayweather or pacquiao for the top spot in the division. sometimes the gulf between what we want and what we get in boxing is utterly depressing
