Your arguments defending Khan's choice are weak. Rios lost to Pacquiao by a score of 120 to 108 while Algieri lost by a score of 120 to 103. Both were one sided fights but 120 to 103 is clearly a worse loss than 120 to 108. Algieri would be coming into the Khan fight directly off the Pacquiao loss. Rios would be coming into the Brook fight off of two wins since the Pacquiao loss including a spectacular KO of Alvarado. Algieri is the 8th ranked 140 pounder in the world and Khan is competing as a 147 pounder. Rios is the 10th ranked 147 pounder in the world which is the size fighter Brook and Khan are supposed to be fighting. Algieri is a weak puncher and no threat to KO a world class fighter like Khan or Brook. Rios is a hard puncher with both hands to head or body and any welterweight who fights him could be knocked out by Rios if he gets in his best punches. Rios is a much better opponent than Algieri and if either Khan or Brook fight Rios I would admire their choice of opponents. Algieri is a poor opponent and I think you know it. If Brook were fighting Algieri I think you would criticize him because you are clearly a devoted Khan fan and some Khan fans don't like Brook.
Great points.
Khan is a joke, anyone that can't see that is blind, he wants the big fight, but still hasn't beat a solid opponent in years. Algeri is the new Paulie, no power, just what Khan's glass chin needs. Khan wouldn't fight Rios, yeah Khan could out box him, but if Rios landed a bomb, we have the Prescott fight all over.
Rios is not a bad fight for Brook, it is not like Brook chose Rios over Khan, it is Khan who is choosing Algeri over Brook. If they fight in NY, they could rob him just like the Peterson fight, that would be hilarious.

They all know if Brook fought Algieri, they would bash the fight.. Some fans arent even fanboys anymore... they're borderline cheerleaders and feel the need to blindly defend the fighter as if they're family or personal friends lol

I really thought Brooks vs Rios is on the bag. Did Brook back out? It appears it's just name dropping to show Khan they had other options.
Eddie Hearn is very confident that Brook-Rios will happen in July.
Dig this..........
People are so sure when they call professional fighters, "bums". How many of you ever been punched in your mouth? Jaw? And came back for more? Boxing is not a game. There are a lot of idiots in the world and real life punks, who wouldn't survive one round in the ring. Every fight is hard, even if it looks easy. There is no such thing as easy. It doesn't exist in the REAL world. Manny is a very special fighter who comes once in a life time. Chris Algeri is a good fighter with room to improve. He now has a really good trainer in David Jackson. Rios is a C Level fighter with a lot of heart and power. What Manny did to both guys showed his greatness. He won both fights in style and dominate fashion. On May 2nd, history will be made. Manny will go down as a top 5 all-time great. You heard it here first. He's more special than Floyd. He has more heart then Floyd.
so many Khan nutthuggers its just crazy,Khan has fought featherfists and has beens since getting Garcia'd
Brandon Rios brings money to the table because he's always in exciting fights,he also has power and a good workrate, not to mention the chin
Rios would have a shot vs Khan as he would eat Khans punches to try and land a bomb somewhere
Algeri has no shot against Khan...Khan does everything better than him in the boxing dept and thats the only way Algeri can fight(by outboxing people) because he has no power
Khan would easily win a fight with algeri its practically written in stone, why make fights that are so predictable and without drama, its what makes Mayweather Pac such an interesting fight because so many people are split down the middle
Did anyone really think Paulie Malagnaggi would win against Khan???????
No and it would be the same here
how come all the Thurman and brook fans are not calling for them to fight each other for the MW oops I mean WW title?? seems like both want to fight small older guys that cant punch
Khan is a small old guy that cant punch? Brook wants Khan.
Haymon has his own plans for Thurman, hes bringing him up slower than the leap Brook is willing to take. Im pretty sure Haymon is looking to make Thurman-Maidana, The word that Maidana will be out for awhile and Thurman's "injury" keeping him out for the summer, convinces me even more thats where they're headed

I want it but it's not realistic now, Thurman is the stereotype of a high risk low reward fighter at this moment, I think Brook would take him if that option would be offered but Hearn doesn't want it and they would only take it if Thurman would get bigger(he will) or if Thurman would be Brook's mando.

Rios just stood infront of Pac with his hands up and didnt even try to engage
One of the worst fights i have ever seen, right up there with that other certified ***** Joshua Clottey
Algerie for all of his weaknesses tried, he threw punches and paid the price, landed some, but he tried unlike Rios
Rios tried to win
Algeiri didn't
Watch the fights again
I will shut this WHOLE thread down with this
Brook-Rios would have to be the fight Brook settled for, Khan's first option for his next fight was Algieri. Thats the huge difference. Nothing else to say.
But just because there are talks about Brook-Rios doesn't mean that Khan can get away with fighting Algieri. It's just as terrible as it was before. I hope he changes his mind. The maximum what I look into Khan is a fight with a smaller Broner because he doesn't want no part from Thurman, Porter or anybody with power, but at least Broner-Khan is still better than Broner-Algieri.

How can Rios be good for Brook but Algeri bad for Khan?
Both got beaten badly by Pac.
You're right, Rios is a punching bag, Rios-Brook also wouldn't be competitive matchup, Rios would go straight forward into Brook's counters all night. Maybe he would smile and nod his head, but he would lose either by a wide-wide UD or by RTD.
I was lost at you trying to act like losing badly to Pacman has something to do with Khan. I don't get the comparo. Losing to Pacman has absolutely nothing to do with fighting Khan.

Rios is just as poor as Algeri. Both were punching bags to Pac, Rios just has a chin | BoxingScene Community
