Dude that was an hour interview and thats what you got out of it. The agendas in boxing is the number 1 issue why boxing is struggling. It started with promoters, then networks and fans. This ufc guy (McGregor ) has no respect for boxing. He hates Golden Boy,PBC,Top Rank and everybody else. We all must rally around Floyd like it or not.
Stephen A. know's nothing about boxing but like it or not he is the biggest and most controversial guy in the media and talks boxing. I think us hardcore fans while we complain about boxing not getting any attention have been spoiled. We are used to talking boxing with hardcore fans who know there boxing because boxing has became so unpopular in this country. This is what we get when we enter the mainstream (Stephen A.) The question I'm struggling with is do I want boxing to be in the mainstream?
It is just plain inresponsible to say Lamo is the best pound for pound. For HBO to promote it is a joke. I know we all have agendas of some sort but HBO has stepped across the line with this one.
Loma was an unknown to the world 3 years ago. It takes winning more than 10 fights in the professional ranks to be pound for pound. I root for good boxers and Loma definitely fits the build.
I love Spence but Canelo is not a good fight for him right now. Spence has to work on his jab and get a little better upper body movement. But in Spence defense the most confused I seen Canelo was his fight with Lara who is also a southpaw. A fight between Spence who is from dallas and Canelo at Cowboy Stadium would probably ultimately be a dream fight for Spence. If Spence reaches the point to when that fight is made it means he has been through the welterweight gauntlet.
pretty easy actually. He is a great fighter but he's been terrible for the sport and I will go as far to say he's the single biggest reason the sport is in the shape it's in today. Good riddance.
What would this sport be without Floyd? In the last 10 years give me 5 fights in any weight division that had the anticipation of a Floyd's fights with De la hoya,Hatton,Canelo and Manny. In the mainstream he and Manny is all we had. I'm not a DE LA hoya fan but I would be a fool to say he was not good for boxing.
Floyd is top ten easily. Floyd has made the sweet science look so easy that now it is under appreciated by most fans. He is the best defensive fighter of all time.Has great footwork, excellent chin, and his pull back right hand is a thing of beauty. He can never be number 1 because of his era. I would love see someone beat him by outboxing him just to see what they would do.
The overhand right hook will be used by Floyd as a changeup to the right hand lead. The punch Floyd will keep in the toolbox is the left hook just as he did with Guerrero. Studying Manny he is very good at countering off the left hook. The early Floyd relied heavily on his left hook and wasn't comfortable fighting without the shoulder roll which is why southpaws were his nightmare. The Floyd we have today has evolved as a fighter in those respects, he fights well with his high guard and his right hand is thrown at lots of different angles and speeds now. He is much more prepared for Manny now than he would have been at the time he fought Judah.
People like you (hype job) are the the reason we have this idiot as a president. Just making up your own facts. Hype job you say you didn't see a push you have to be kidding me. It's as if you think no one else has eyes.
I can't wait till that flash in the pan gets his ass knocked out. At the end of the day as long Floyd has that zero on his record and them zeroes in his back account nobody in the sports world or loser on a message board can touch him. And I guarantee you one thing when that MMA guy gets beat Floyd will not take the high road like he did with his big sister Ronda.
He was going down from tha push down and Conor landed a glazing shot with his right hand. It's obviously he was going down without that punch let's be real guys.
Paulie always said he had his moments. But at the end of the day he got hustled. He has to eat it for a couple of weeks and chill. Floyd will clean up this mess for boxing.
Your response hype job is so corny. It's obvious you don't like Paulie hell I'm not to fond of the guy myself, but facts are facts. And BTW anybody that posts on a message board damn near 10,000 times in three years I doubt ever went to a party. (In response to your cute little song)
Floyd should have took those questions a long time ago. You answer all questions from numerous media outlets then when he revisits those outlets the domestic violence questions will not asked and he can get to promoting his fights. He has to deal with that issue head on.
Boxing is under attack by these UFC clowns. They will not be satisfied until boxing is obsolete. I am appalled that so many boxing fans are rooting for Conor. If he beats Floyd boxing will take a big hit. For all you Floyd haters so what Floyd will make a lot money. We need Floyd to put him on his ass.
And yes Oscar did him that favor you act like he needed Floyd ..Never had never will ..I mean if anything Floyd needed him for May 5th his fighter his heritage etc
But hey we all know Floyd did that all alone
I don't know what fans you speak of because this was the most anticipated retirement of any athlete of any sport ! Like the title says sarcastically his action packed fights will be missed ! The tumor to,the sport of boxing has been removed ..We can only hope we get another Sugar Ray Leoanrd or another Oscar Delahoya in the next generation not a cherry picking hypocrite who hand picks mismatches to make him the most money
Yea, Canelo ,Cotto, Pacquiao, Marquez,Dela Hoya, Mosley, all hall of famer's were cherry picked. Hate Mayweather all you want but stop with the bullcrap.
Manny wants to be cool with his opponent I think it puts him in a comfort zone. Floyd will not give him that pleasure. Neither did Marquez. Bradley, Algeria, and Rios fell for that crap recently and we saw where it got them.
