That gif is still funny to me and hideous. Calzaghe won ugly that night.
Also what you didn't mention was that was almost the only clean punch Hopkins landed that round. Another round he stole was the one he milked a fake low blow and got a much needed rest.
Nothing made me cringe more than the attempt at showboating when in the ring with Hopkins and Jones.
He looked a complete idiot.
if it was a clear cut victory for Calzaghe.. sure.. but its a disputable so..
It's a win, as Hopkins would say it's all about the W and Joe has it. It was a close fight, but Hopkins could never slow Joe down.
Just thinking of it, there should not have been a rematch because it was an ugly fight and no one would have bought it. Maybe not if Joe came back.
Yep after the fight when people were talking about a rematch, Calzaghe's answer was who would pay to see that again?
Good question, no doubt a lot on here would but the masses wouldn't.
Any trip to Vegas for the boxing is amazing, done it twice myself for Hatton vs Mayweather and Hatton vs Malignaggi so you can't go wrong.
Personally I would go for Pac vs JMM, but Khan vs Judah is July middle of Summer and lets be honest a helluva lot sooner.
Pac vs JMM for me though.
With the pullouts, what's the fight you feel you've missed out on the most?
Personally I can only think of 2 Ward vs Dirrell (would've been boring but interesting imo) and Kessler vs Abraham (could've been interesting)
Did you see him celebrate early when they said and still undefeated?
hahahahaha
priceless
That was priceless, to be honest I thought they had inside info. I seen Jim Mcdonell in the ring after the fight beside him looking at his phone then DeGale put his arms in the air, then Mcdonell put his finger to his lip telling him to keep it quiet (thats what I thought anyway) so I feared the worst thinking they had the result.
Was so funny seeing him jump around then compose himself just to hear the words Saint George
Johnson coming in well under, good sign or bad sign?
Reminds me of Oscar vs Pac, I know Johnson has already fought at this weight but seems really light.
Makes me laugh when he keeps retweeting comments from fanboys saying Khan isn't good enough and Judah should be looking at bigger fights, mentioning a fight with Pac.
Bottom line is he doesn't have a bigger fight than Khan out there, anytime he has stepped up in class he has been beat back down again.
Looking forward to seeing more of him, heard he was out for a while with a hand injury.
Hope I either heard wrong or it's not an issue coz he's too early in his career to be having injuries to his hands already.
