First of all as a DC man myself...gotta voice my disgust for the bullshit that went down in PR over the weekend...that referee should be banned from the sport for life.
Now on to the question at hand...Chop Chop at 135. I think he could make the weight without too much trouble and would be a very good addition to the division. Right now he's in there with guys who are for the most part physically bigger and stronger than he is...and those factors somewhat negate his often superior boxing skills. If he was to dip down to 135 he would be matched with guys more his size and he'd more than likely have more success.

After waking up and having a few minutes on his stool, Morales will absolutely show good sportsmanship and respect to Pacman. As mentioned before...his dislike for MAB doesn't make him a guy who doesn't respect his opponents, he just happens to dislike MAB and have absolutely no love for the guy.

Although DLH has definately lost a step...maybe moving back south in weight will help him in that department. As far as power, I don't really think Judah could take him out...and I think that DLH COULD take Judah out without a doubt. I'd have to go with DLH if this match materializes. Should be a damn fine show though if it happens!!!

I'm right in the same boat as you nyc...shit is right in my face on my desk just talking to me. Ugly-ass Bernard Hopkins is just taunting the shit out of me...six o' clock can't come soon enough!

By the way Rippuh...I wouldn't say that Chop Chop was throwing little bitch shots at Cotto when he had him hurt...I think he was confident that he was on track to stop him at some point, whether it was then or later on...so he didn't get reckless and take any unneccesary risks. That being said, he definately should've worked a little harder to get him out of there in retrospect.

While Leonard deserves all the credit in the world for one hell of a feat in coming back to take on Hagler...gotta say I thought Marvin should've won it. I don't think Leonard's flurries were enough to merit a win over the champion...really a shame due to the fact that the decision kinda ruined Hagler as far as his love for boxing went. Tough call man, tough call.

Played the game a little bit last night...and from my first impression, I like it.
Graphics have improved, it's good to have Tigger out of there so I can focus on boxing and not who's getting a shout-out.
My only complaints so far are that I don't like the haymaker shit and the training. I've fought in five fights...like three opponents who threw ONLY haymakers and it's aggravating. Training is pretty corny this time around...maybe it'll grow on me but I like Fight Night 2004's better.
Lots of options on Create a Boxer that're pretty cool.
All around it gets a definate thumbs up on my first impression.

If you would've posted on this forum two years back and said that RJJ & DM were in line to fall off the radar in the next couple of years...how many people would've called bullshit? I'd say 99.9% if not the whole hunnid.

Not a Tyson nut-hugger by any means...but if you ever count him out of any fight you're delusional. He still has the power and killer instinct to stop ANYONE.
BB
DM should hang it up. His hopes of getting a mega-payday match with a top fighter are down the tubes...chances of getting himself back into position to work towards that again are slim and none.

I wouldn't say that Sturm is a bum by any means...but he's gained more respect than he probably deserves from his fight with DLH. Excuse me...a blown up middleweight DLH. Who was completely out of shape for the fight. He should've KO'd DLH in retrospect, but he couldn't take advantage of a fighter completely out of his element. Sturm needs to stop fighting scrubby Euro boxers and come accross the pond to make a name for himself on the strength of more than just his DLH fight. Just my two cents.

OF COURSE Gatti stands a chance!
The "old" Gatti stood less of a chance...the Gatti who didn't employ much of his boxing skills but rather chose to go balls to the wall and brawl.
The "new" Gatti, a product of Buddy McGirt's development, stands one hell of a chance against Pretty Boy.
That being said...if Floyd can make this happen, I'm putting my money on Arturo!!!

Maybe Tito learned from the loss. I'd obviously have to go with Hopkins in a rematch, but I have a feeling Tito might be a little bit better off the second time around.
