Can Hopkins beat Trinidad in a rematch?

Sounds like ur makin excuses already Jack... At least this excuse is better than the one on why Tito loss the first time. I'm sure you remember, "The reason why he loss is because he was head-hunting, and Hopkins capitalized off of that." Besides, I still think Hopkins would beat him in a rematch. Hey, Borikua, quick question...If Trinidad loses against Wright, will you say it's because he is old? Only 100k? How bout 10mills? You guys can bet in terms of odds. What are the odds, anyway?

In Tito's only comeback fight, he hasn't shown anything different that would even suggest that he could handle Hopkins. If a rematch happens, Hopkins destroys him again because Tito can't outbox or outsmart Hopkins. All better hope Tito can get past Winky because that's not going to be an easy task.

He can, but Trinidad can also beat him in a rematch...It will be more competitive than the first.. You're right, it might be more competitive than the first, but the sad thing is that, that's not a result of Trinidad getting any better, its a result of Hopkins getting older.. Hopkins' aging is the only thing what may allow Trinidad to be in the same dimension as him..

I know easy does it...your my favorite Puerto Rican Boruk...I root for your boy Cotto most of the time but Tito is a guy that I love for the sport but I also love to hate him as well...I was sad when he left and now that he is back I will hopefully get to watch him get outclassed and knocked out again. Sure he is going to have some awesome ko's which is great for the sport but I expect an awsome koby somewhere in the future which will be fun too watch... Winky beats Tito (you wanna bet 100K?)

Win or lose, Trinidad will be much more competitive. Hopkins has the style to beat Tito's ass nine out of ten times. But when youre 41, even if youre stylistic better than most guys out there, father time catches up. Hops by close decision or Trinidad by late TKO is my prediction.

I personally think the outcome of the fight would be similar to the first one. Hopkins does not like to take any risks, and that showed the first time around. Hopkins would use his boxing ability to move circles around Trini. That is not to say that I would not LIKE to see Trini win. I like Trini much more than Hopkins, whom I have less respect for as a champion. PURO TITO! ps. I hope I will say that if he beats Hopkins in a potential rematch. Tito would beat Hopkins this time round, if Eastman can make Hopkins run away like a little girl then Tito would punish him. IMO Hopkins is on the slide and should retire at the top, before someone who wouldnt have a chance 2/3 years ago KO's him.

Most definately Hopkins can wipe the floors with Trinidad again. Even if Trinidad wins, it want mean anything, because people will say Hopkins is best his best.

I agree it will be more competitive and Tito will probably go the distance but he will be able to get very little done because against a slick guy like Hopkins Tito will have his power disconnected. Tito better not worry about NArd right now...if Winky moves a lot in their upcoming fight then Tito is going to have a lot of problems.

Hopkins has been slipping in the last few years. It will be more competitive the second time around but I think Hopkins will do enough to win a decision. Hopkins doesn't move as well as he did in 2001 so I don't see him put on another one of those performances.

No, I would say yes after seeing both of their last performances but Hopkins adjusts to his opponents style. So one minute he can look spectacular the next look crappy (but in a good way) The world will never when Hopkins ages.

hopkins will beat trinidad in a rematch trinidad deserves a rematch as much as robert allen or hakkar one sided fights that last longer than 8 rounds shouldnt have a rematch now if trinidad was able to do something in the fight i would think different
