I don't get all the 'are you serious' posts?? Maybe all the Floyd fanboys have no explanation for it so they try to minimize it to nothing. Anyway I found it a lil surprising not to mention a little embarrassing on national tv. Maybe she felt he was trying to control her and she didn't like it...certainly not while being televised.
Ok this settled it for me
Pac fans are by far the dumbest fans out there!
At least Floyds momo fans have valid points when arguing
we may not all agree with them but at least they try and make a case
and not just use the limited english they know like pac fans who
are ESL and make foolish comments.
and lets get this straight
both fights could have gone either way and were in no way blowouts or azkickings by pac.
and finally this fight in November is a joke and when Pac knocks JMM the fook out within 5 rounds he gets no credit from me and he should not get any credit from any of you either.
pac is a SHAM!
Floyd is a SHAM!
I cant wait for them to RETIRE!
once again pacquiao has to have all the advantages. can't believe the fight is happening at 144.
smh at those who think this will be a close fight. it'll be a blowout and pacquiao also doesn't get any credit from me.
I am too baffled whenever I hear/read these kind of comments. His only two losses came at the hands of an alleged plaster loaded gloves cheater and against one of the best of all time who's also suspicious of using PEDs. Oh and he's about to get the chance to avenge one of them this December. In my personal opinion, I honestly think Cotto is a legend. The guy has fought the best out there and I still don't see signs of him slowing down.
I've seen a change in his style, no doubt about it but I just don't see this damaged good fighters that some of you refer to at times. He moves a tad more than he used to but that's because of the wars that he's gone thru and the things he's learned along the way, specially now under a new HOF trainer. He will still exchange with you and cause some damage, the guy is still a warrior. He's as dangerous as any elite fighter out there.
Brilliantly stated!
I said this in December 2009, as soon as Floyd went down the blood testing road.
I could see then it was a smokescreen because Floyd didn't want the fight.
This fight won't happen.
Maybe if Marquez pushes Pacquiao close and loses out to a close UD or SD then maybe.
But as long as Pacquiao is looking great the fight will not happen.
So Floyd magically knew that would result in the number of excuses from Pac to not take the blood test?:wtf:
Personally I don't like neither. I feel pacquiao cherry picks his opponents, enforces too many catch-weights, and may very well be a cheater. As for floyd, I just don't like him (maybe it's his attitude.). Although his recent actions (taking on Mosley when he beat Margarito and now Oritz) have made borderline tolerable.
But if i had to pick one out of the two then i would say I dislike mayweather less than pacquiao.
The general consensus is that FLoyd won most if not all the rounds, but i think Floyd was feeling the heat a bit and more tired than usual after the 4th as he was throwing more punches than usual and taking heavier shots than he is probalby used to for a while.
Im must wondering if the performance made Floyd more realistic in where hes at at this stage of his career and point.?
All I know is that Ortiz was beginning to tag Mayweather in the 4th and before the headbutt, it was turning out to be his best round.
Mayweather on the other hand may have been getting a little discouraged after hitting Ortiz with everything, only to see him apply more pressure.
That cheap shot was a golden opportunity for Floyd to end the fight before the going got rough.
Does this mean that he's having 2nd thoughts about Khan? Maybe, but not necessarily. Ortiz is a southpaw and carries more power than Khan. Khan is taller, has faster hands and a superior jab, not to mention more heart than Ortiz. And we have yet to witness how he fits the role of a welter. I'm sure these things are on Mayweather's mind but depending on how he assesses both fighters, either views Khan as an easier or tougher fight. Only man who knows for sure is himself.
I bet he was thinking;
"Wow, this is easier than I thought I'm not even out of 1st gear and I have won every round and this guy is already breaking down mentally I can tell by his face. I bet he's going to headbutt me out of frustration in a minute becaue I'm toying with him so much"
Then the rest is history.
And in round 4 he was thinking, "Damn! I should have this dude figured out by now, and coupled with all the shots I've hit him with he should be slowing down, but this dude just keeps coming and is beginning to land shots on me! I wish I could find a way out this fi-" POW! HEADBUTT! And the rest is history.
Margarito can't come down in weight any longer because he's shot, tired, beaten down, and lazy. He wants this last payday with Cotto at the easiest walking around catch weight possible, then he's done. Cotto has two fights left in him. He has a lot of motivation for his finest hour to reverse his loss to Margarito and he has that left in his tank. He will win that fight by knockout. But then he he fights any of today's best after Margarito: Pacquiao again, Khan, or Maidana he gets knocked out by either of those three. Great warrior, just too many wars.
Maidana? Seriously?? Cotto would KO the poop out of Maidana if they were to fight right now.
And I'm a huge Khan fan but at this point Cotto would KO Khan as well. Khan may start out well, but Cotto would eventually catch up and don't forget he's a boxer-puncher...which spells nightmare for Khan.
SO!!! WHAT NOW AMIR............you dont have an opponent on December, take on Maidana and prove that you deserve and belong at the top of 140...Guerero is injured or not injured --paid or not paid.....if Maidana post a challenge, be man enough...or you still feels the sting of his punch and wanted to run away from Maidana 4ever.....
Newsflash newbie! He's already at the top of 140 and he already beat Maidana.
look at all these clowns trying to find another way to discredit Khan. The dude already beat Maidana and in no way shape or form was the fight controversial. There is absolutely no need to fight Maidana at this point when he's already targeting the winner of Morales-Matthysse.
Prescott is the most famous bum if I've ever seen one. I swear boxingscene is the only website that even writes articles about him.
As far as Prescott/McCloskey, I think Paul will outbox him over 12 rounds but as boxing goes theres always a punchers chance. If Prescott loses I really hope he stfu, but if he wins I think Khan should set up a venue in Prescotts backyard and just kick his ass on a lazy afternoon and get on with fights that really matter. Bradley where you at?
Oh ballay ballay yaar...couldn't have said it better myself. I'm just hoping Prescott wins so that sets up a rematch between him and Khan. I would like Khan to avenge his only loss. That would shut up most of his critics.
I wanted this fight a long time ago but unfortunately Prescott's stock kept plummeting. Now I really hope he gets by McCloskey so we have a slugfest. Having said that, there's no way in hell Prescott beats Maidana. Prescott ain't a boxer so we can expect him to stand in the middle of the ring and slug it out with Maidana. But I personally see Maidana as the bigger puncher between the two and his determination is unmatched. These two factors alone will spell doom for Prescott, although in terms of entertainment this fight will def. deliver.
I just rewatched Martinez get KTFO by Margarito. Makes me wonder why Martinez isn't calling out Margarito to avenge that loss?? I understand that Sergio has been fighting one division higher than Margarito, but Sergio is calling out Floyd and Pac FFS!! Martinez-Margarito would still be a big payday. Would be a great round robin between Martinez, Margarito and Cotto!
cuz I think he's seen just how crap margarito is now (not to mention a cheater) and after the beating he got at the hands of Mosley and Pacquiao, is afraid he might kill margarito.
Why doesn't Khan do it?
I love how Khan is too big a name to fight a "peasant" Prescott....but Floyd isn't too big to fight Amir Khan who sold $750K in US tickets in his biggest fight.
hakakakak...ever hear of a place called England?
I want cotto to win but once he gets under that pressure and marg starts gettin that azz he will fold like playing world series poker. marg got the mental edge wheather he cheated or not.
well the way I see it the mental edge is now with Cotto. Because he's convinced margarito cheated in their 1st meeting and was outboxing him for the first 6 rnds. as for tony he knows he won't have the plaster in his pads this time around. hakakakak can't wait for this...may the better man win.
