Don't feel bad for Paul Williams he needed that to happean. He was never going to last as he was but situations such as this could spur positive change.
He needs to buckle down and learn how to fight tall really utilizing his advantages.
In all honesty. Williams has a lot of faults. He doesn't fight tall or use a jab, and he has bad defense. He gets hit way too much for his height. He really needs to make some changes. This was gonna happen sooner or later. I thought he'd win tonight though. He just tried to overwhelm Martinez and left himself wide open.
Do you guys know how the seating is at the Boardwalk in terms of the view from the 200 level & if there is parking in the area? Thanks in advance for any info because I'm about to buy some tix.
Boardwalk Hall is a great place to watch a fight from pretty much anywhere. 200 level is solid. As far as parking, there are small private lots on the same road as the arena. I usually don't go with the garages or the casino parking, but generally, there is parking available fairly easily and cheaply.
How's ur guys tix? I got 119 row a hh...also what time do u guys suggest to get there, I'm taking a limo from the poconos (about 3 hours away)
Based upon my experiences at Boardwalk Hall, it doesn't get too congested near the arena. A lot of people are going to the fight from the casinos and have garage parking. You can usually get parking in lots right down road from the Hall, and if my memory serves me correctly, it's not too pricey. Nice work with the limo.
How can you accept catchweights, Real Men fight at the real weightclasses none of those gay ass catchweight bs roach pulls to drain and weaken fighters.
You're right. Getting Margarito to fight at 150 after spending his entire career at 147 was a travesty, completely unfair.
Bottomline there should be NO hate on Paul. He aint make no excuses, and is ready and willing to get in there again with the very same man who starched him out in two. Plus he's willing to bring the fight like always. Paul Williams is a class act, and still one of my favorite Boxers.
Amen. He's the anti-Allan Green. He'll be back and (hopefully) better because of this. Hell, it's the way the cookies crumbles sometimes, nuhmsayin. No shame losing to a top 3 p4p guy. I just hope he actually takes the chance to learn a lesson, and maybe consider working with Manny Steward.
he already said hes going to focus on 140 in 2011 so if he dont get manny look for him to focus on his 4th world title making history. id like to see 140 play out like this
khan vs maidana winner vs winner bradley vs devon
marquez van face off against the winner of ortiz vs peterson
and whoever wins that face off against the champion
That worries me. I just don't think he can cut it at 140, but he can at least get some paydays.
I think Pacquiao would probably be willing to fight Berto under any circumstances. But he'll especially fight Berto if Andre barely scrapes by or looks like crap against this Hernandez guy because this is what Pacquiao has been doing lately. Fighting guys coming off unimpressive performances.
I've heard enough of this about Pacquiao. Bottom line: Hatton was coming off of what a lot of people at the time called his best performance since Tszyu after stopping Malignaggi. Clottey beat up on Judah and then barely lost a razor thin decision to Cotto.
