Haye has definately convinced the public that this will be an easy job, but I'm going to go with Wladimir. More experience, more endurance, much more focused, fighting at home, and has looked extremely sharp in training recently.
The moment Haye gets hit hard will be the moment he realized what he's in for.
Haye has a poorer defense and a weaker chin. Yes he is explosive and powerful but I really think it's him who will fall the easiest after taking a hard punch.
How is a cocky and offensive punk from South East London who has only fought 4 fights at heavyweight (all against semi-retired bums) and who plans to retire in a year to pursue a career in acting, better for boxing?
Wladimir is a tactical genius and a gentleman nearing his 50th knockout. Don't throw rocks at the throne.
Speed, thats all Haye has, because he is a natural cruiserweight
In every other department Wlad schooled him. Haye does not even have a jab and resorted to pure amateurish lunging when he realized how superior Wlad is.
Vitali's being generous.
I cannot believe the sheer number of people who continue to defend this boxing con artist known as Haye
A viscious 2 year long media blitz against the Klitschkos and he enters the ring only to fall over some 6 times, look at the reff for help and then blame his TOE after getting skillfully outboxed by Wlad round for round.
Poor Haye was then paid only a small £10MILLION for his troubles. Yes.. lets all give him a break.
Completely agree. Morales was a warrior, but Maidana, despite being sloppier than usual, still clearly dominated most of the fight. Morales was on the verge of being knocked out in the later rounds.
I've watched the replay over and over and I personally don't believe that Vitali's little punch (which barely skimmed the top of Solis' head) carried enough power to have such an effect - Vitali's reaction speaks for itself on this. He was totally stupefied and accused Solis of having dived. And people can't exactly act as though they know Vitaly's power... more than vitaly himself.
What I think is more plausible is that Solis got a little reckless, threw a really bad punch, lost his balance and simply messed up his leg. Either that or he dived. I mean, did you see his face afterwards? Not a trace of anger or regret. Fat boy was glad to get out. He would have been battered for the remainder of the fight and knocked out anyway.
If the Klitschkos were BLACK, they would be hailed as geniuses
If they were White-American, they would be hailed as geniuses
If they trash-talked and savagely disrespected opponents, they would still be hailed as geniuses
Instead though they are White-Eastern European Gentlemen and because of that knobody wants to accept that they really are geniuses.
How can you possibly try and undermine a boxer whose got an 88.8 KO percentage and who is still effortlessly knocking out heads at the age of 40.
If the Klitschkos are 'boring' to you, than please head down to your local gym and see some sluggish amateaur bouts, because you clearly have no appreciation for strategy and style.
The Klitschkos are the big dogs in this game, and any criticism will remain weightless until one of them is beaten, which is clearly not going to happen anytime soon.
As convincing as the knee injury is, given the state of boxing today, and Vitali's reaction to the fall, lets not rule out the possibility of a dive
Solis didn't have the slightest trace of disappointment on his face, in fact he looked the opposite before and after the fight. Is it not possible that he had this planned out, thought he'd try his luck throwing a few good shots, then fall after taking a small punch (which wasn't even on the temple), quiver his leg a little, and then limp..all the way to the bank?
